Last week, #Anthropic showed that small AI models can copy themselves onto connected devices and keep spreading, with no human assistance. Picture that on a fleet of robots, vehicles or industrial machines, each carrying serious AI compute. Malware and botnets aren’t new. What’s new is AI doing the work of adapting to each unfamiliar device. In #physicalAI, the variety of hardware used to slow attackers down. That barrier is disappearing. The answer isn’t more alerts. It’s continuous verification: is every machine still doing what it was designed to do, and doing it safely? I put together a detailed analysis of the risk cases 👇 https://lnkd.in/dNcKnhKS Yoav Levy Roy Bachar Upstream Security

One of the biggest mistakes I see in cold outreach is wasting attention. Every single part of your cold email should play its part. The subject line and opener’s job is to catch the interest of the person you’re writing to, and you only have a few seconds to get it right. So: ❌ DON’T - waste space repeating the same information in the subject line and opener - use filler copy, like “I know you’re busy, so I’ll keep this short” or “I hope this email finds you well” - fake-personalize (it’s obvious when it’s not real) ✅ DO Subject lines: 🔹 keep it short (under 60 characters - most email clients cut off subject lines longer than that) 🔹 spark curiosity 🔹 make it look like an internal email, clear and concise (for example, “Q2 email strategy” or “Quick idea for X”) Openers - go for one of these: 🔹 trigger-based (timing), like: “Noticed you just hired 3 new AEs - are you expanding outbound?” 🔹 pain-first (relevance), like: “Most RevOps teams I speak to are struggling to keep deliverability above 80%” 🔹 competitor (context), like: “Noticed you were on Mailchimp. A lot of founders are switching to tools built for cold outreach” 🔹 proof-based (credibility), like: “Cut CAC by 26% for a team selling into CFOs - similar to your audience” 🔹 curiosity (open loop), like: “You’re probably missing ~40% of warm leads in your CRM. Here’s how we found them” 👉 Then, you can check if you’re maximizing your subject line and opener with our free Email previewer. It lets you check: - how your email copy looks in Gmail or Apple Mail, desktop or mobile - if your email is easily readable (and what exactly to fix if it’s not) Wasting attention is one of the most common mistakes people make in cold outreach, but it’s also easy to fix. Start with checking how your email looks. I’ll leave the link to our Email previewer in the comments 👇

For a long time, mobile technology transitions were fairly easy to describe. One generation replaced another. I think it’s becoming clear that the next phase of IoT will not be quite that simple. What we see instead is a more hybrid landscape, where 4G, 5G and other technologies will coexist for many years. 4G still provides broad global reach and a mature device ecosystem. 5G Standalone is developing, but availability and global roaming support are still uneven, and technologies such as RedCap are not yet a universal replacement for 4G. That makes the technology decision more complex. A device launched in 2027 may still be operating around 2040. So the question is not simply: “Should we choose 4G or 5G?” It is: “What connectivity setup makes sense for this product throughout its lifetime?” For many products, 4G will remain a very sensible choice for years to come. Our current view is that 4G will remain broadly available well into the 2040s. And the forecasts support that picture. Berg Insight expects LTE Cat-1/Cat-4+ connections to continue growing through 2030, reaching around 4.2 billion connections, compared with roughly 0.75 billion for 5G. For others, particularly products with very long lifecycles, it may make sense to build in support for both 4G and 5G SA. That can mean higher hardware cost and complexity, and the ecosystem is not equally mature for every use case. And the landscape is broader than simply 4G versus 5G. RedCap, LTE-M, NB-IoT and, for some applications, satellite connectivity will all have different roles to play depending on the use case. This means future-proofing is becoming less about choosing the technology that will “win” and more about building for a landscape where several technologies coexist. At Telenor IoT, these are discussions we have increasingly often with customers. If you are reviewing your own connectivity roadmap, we have gathered our latest view and recommendations in our recent webinar: https://lnkd.in/dyDU6uw3. My takeaway is fairly simple: don’t start with the technology. Start with how long the product needs to live, where it needs to work and what you need from it over time.

🌊 Can we produce more seafood while restoring the balance of our oceans? The world needs more sustainable protein, but our oceans are already under significant pressure, with the majority of wild fish stocks overfished. With very limited potential to increase wild fish catches, aquaculture has a crucial role to play in feeding a growing population. Aquaculture has clear advantages when it comes to resource efficiency and emissions, but the industry also faces challenges related to fish welfare and ocean health. The real opportunity lies not simply in producing more seafood, but in producing it better. By building on the knowledge, innovation and technologies developed within the aquaculture industry, we can reduce its environmental footprint, improve fish welfare and support healthier oceans. One example from our portfolio at Bluefront Equity is SEAQLOUD AS, which provides sensors and software to monitor environmental conditions in the ocean. By turning environmental data into actionable insights, Seaqloud helps fish farmers make better decisions for fish welfare, while contributing to a deeper understanding of marine ecosystems, biodiversity and how ocean conditions are changing due to climate change. This is a great example of how technology developed for aquaculture can create value beyond the industry itself, helping us better understand and protect the oceans we depend on. 🌍

Today I noticed how HCPs were talking about a particular product, drilled in to see the live AI summary of that HCP conversation (which included discussion about early data on a new indication), created a cohort of the HCPs who were talking about the product during ESMO, then profiled what inspired the cohort over the last year. One thing I've learned about carbon removal: The biggest challenge isn't technology. It's demand. That's why I'm excited to share that Nykredit– one of the largest banks in Denmark - has purchased carbon removal credits from Bigadan through Klimate as part of a new four-year agreement. This transaction is more than a sale. It reflects a growing recognition that net zero is not only about reducing emissions, but also about addressing the residual emissions that cannot yet be eliminated. Nykredit has set a target to reduce operational emissions by 85% by 2030. Alongside that, they are investing in durable carbon removal to address their residual emissions. The credits come from one Bigadan's biogas plants, where biogenic CO₂ is captured and thereafter permanently stored. This investment also helps build the Danish carbon removal industry that will be needed at scale in the years ahead. The carbon removal market is still early. Every transaction matters — not just for the tonnes removed, but for the demand signal it sends to developers, financiers, and the broader ecosystem. That's how climate technologies move from promise to infrastructure. A big thank you to the teams at Nykredit and Klimate for making this collaboration possible. #CarbonRemoval #CDR #BECCS #NetZero #ClimateAction #CarbonCapture #Sustainability

A portfolio company’s ERP stops being a project the day it goes live. It runs the close, produces the numbers the board sees, and has to absorb the next add-on. It’s often still budgeted like a project, with an end date at go-live. When one team scopes the work, another builds it and a third supports it, the business gets explained again at every handoff. That cost rarely gets its own line item. It gets paid in finance-team hours and in every change that takes longer than it should. For PE-backed companies, technology decisions are investment decisions. Who runs the system in year three is part of that decision. Of the 720+ projects we’ve completed, more than 400 were managed services and expertise-on-demand. At OnScent, a PE-backed manufacturer, many of the same core experts have been on the work from the start. Their CFO, Sylvia Cole, put it this way: “They’ve seen us through every significant phase of our technology evolution since 2022, adding value and protecting our interests every month.” If you have an ERP build being scoped this quarter, two questions are worth asking first: 1. Who will run it the day after go-live? 2. Did they design it?

I got a teeeeext!! Did you know that Aircall’s AI agents can actually book meetings then and there when you’re on a call? Here’s me showing you the confirmation text that I got sent after I was playing around with one of our test agents and “booked” in a consultation. For your business, that could mean completely automating your inbound bookings and appointments. If a client or customer rings after hours, when phone lines are busy or sends an SMS, that message often sits in a queue or they get stuck navigating a robotic phone tree. Press one, press two, blah blah blah… Aircall’s AI Voice and Messaging Agents handle the entire scheduling process autonomously. Some use cases to give you an idea: Healthcare & Wellness: “I need to reschedule my consultation on Thursday.” The AI verifies the patient's identity, pulls up their appointment, offers open slots based on real-time practitioner availability and updates the system instantly. Property & Field Services: “My heating has broken, can someone come out tomorrow?” The AI collects the property address, confirms the problem details, checks technician availability and logs the service dispatch ticket before your team opens their inbox. That means you’ve got an always-on virtual receptionist when your team aren’t able to answer. Where could you see this coming in useful?

Black Friday does not create checkout problems.. It sends more traffic through the ones you already have. A missing local payment method. A delivery option shoppers don't trust. A mobile field that loses people. An agency queue that means nothing can change in time. More traffic makes each leak more expensive. But replacing your checkout before peak on the promise of "better conversion" isn't a sensible decision either.. So before committing, test it. 50% of shoppers keep the current checkout. 50% go through Simpler. Same store. Same period. Randomly split traffic. Over 30 days, we compare checkout completion, orders and revenue per checkout session. You see what changes in your own data. Not a benchmark from another merchant. Not a sales deck. I'll share results here as they come, including tests where we don't see an uplift. Conversion uplift has always been one of the hardest things to prove in checkout. We want to make it measurable. This is how we're introducing Checkout-as-a-Service at Simpler: one integration for payments, delivery, cart recovery, cross-sell and loyalty, with fewer integrations for merchants to maintain. For merchants running the test, we're waiving Simpler's platform fee for the first month. Want to find out whether your checkout is holding back sales before Black Friday? Message me - we'll look at your setup and tell you honestly whether there's enough time and traffic to measure it properly.

AI context isn't (only) a snapshot. It's a live feed. In one of the most severe AI agent failures on record, an AI coding agent wiped a live production database during an explicit code freeze. It is a warning most security programs haven't acted on. The agent didn't need new permissions. It used access it already had. Nothing in any inventory looked wrong. The next breach will use access you already approved. "Context" is the word of the year in AI security. But most of it is a snapshot: who can reach what, as of the last scan. Context isn't static. It changes with every call an agent makes. One-off mapping tells you what an agent is allowed to do. It can't tell you what it is doing right now. The question every security teams needs answered: 👉 Is what this agent is doing right now consistent with everything it has done before? My recommendation: make behavioral assurance a condition of production. Define the behavior you expect from every agent, not just the access it needs. Then measure one thing: how quickly would you know if an approved agent started acting out of character? If the answer is "at the next review," you have a snapshot. You need a live feed. Hybrid customer care, where humans are the premium. That's the third shift I'm seeing in travel, and most service models still have it the wrong way round. Customers want to change, cancel and rebook themselves, and they're further along than our policies assume. The simple contacts are leaving the contact centre. They should. What's left is the escalation, the cancellation that matters, the family stuck somewhere. When a customer reaches a person now, it's because it's serious. That person isn't the fallback any more. They're the top tier of your service. Two things follow. The first is about the advisor: less script, more judgment. Nobody is a premium tier reading from a card. The second is about who the advisor is. If the human moment decides how the customer feels about you, it matters whether that human sits inside your organisation or at the end of a queue. In our work with TUI, for example, the advisors who take those calls sit inside TUI's own teams, on the same systems, with the same right to decide – whether their badge says TUI or Transcom. The customer never feels the seam. I moderated a LinkedIn Live on exactly this with Ramón Delima from TUI and Dario Bakovic from Transcom. We wrote down how the two companies run customer service as one team, and twelve things to check in your own setup before you outsource, or renew. Download it here: https://lnkd.in/dfmcgRmS

It’s not just about features. It’s about how easily customers understand the value and start using it. Take DNS-based security as an example. Imagine telling a customer: Want to protect every device connected to your internet from malware and phishing? Just a few extra euros per month. Nothing to install.” That’s it. Simple to explain, easy to activate, and valuable from day one. And that’s exactly why DNS-based security is such a great opportunity for ISPs. Easy for sales teams to explain. Clear value for customers. No complicated setup or installation. The result? Higher adoption potential, stronger customer relationships, and a scalable opportunity to grow ARPU. Simplicity drives adoption. And adoption drives revenue. #ISP #Cybersecurity #WhalebonePeacemaker #ConnectedMeansProtected

Wierzę w autentyczność. A „walk the talk” to ważna część mojego osobistego katalogu wartości. W życiu i w pracy.
