It's about time Fin - Intercom's agent was given a face. I was demoing Anam during New York Tech Week at an Intercom event. So decided not just to give Fin a face, but have him join a Zoom call as a participant and let him take the questions himself, live. He explained what he does, and why agents need a face. It's pretty cool to watch. Think about every business that runs on live conversation - sales or support calls, onboarding, coaching, tutoring. Now their users are in a video call with an avatar that interacts with them like a colleague. And it's finally really easy to build an interactive avatar who can join Zoom calls, interact with your users and become the face of your product - you don't need to be a developer!

The requirements and expectations for substation and power distribution projects have changed significantly in recent years. Project schedules are becoming increasingly ambitious, while the role of substation contractors within larger turnkey deliveries has grown significantly. At the same time, investment in electrical infrastructure has increased not only in Finland, but across Europe. This growing demand is also creating new challenges: lead times for critical equipment have increased, and experienced professionals are in high demand. As a result, substation contractors need to find new ways to plan, manage and execute increasingly demanding projects. So, how can a substation project be delivered safely, with high quality, and within an ambitious schedule? 👉 Read our blog to learn more about the key factors behind the successful delivery of substation projects. https://lnkd.in/d7NcudzM #substations #powerinfrastructure #energytransition #projectmanagement #EPC #datacenters

💡 What if your cameras could improve productivity, protect your margin and give your customers a better experience, as well as keep people safe? That’s the conversation I’m having more and more with the organisations I work with. The way I explain it: the cameras are the eyes, the AI is the brain, and the brain can only feed back on what the eyes give it. Once the two are working together, business transformation teams can finally use AI in real life. This change is already underway and 53% of UK and Ireland organisations use their camera data for operational efficiency, and across Europe 88% already use or plan to use it for something beyond security. One parcel delivery business I work with is a good example. They still use the cameras for the perimeter and for footfall trends, but it’s what they’ve built on top that I love: 📦 Alerts when parcels are backing up in one area of the warehouse 🔍 Alerts when something goes missing 👥 A view of when staff are congregating in one spot instead of their work area 💬 Pairing their camera data with a generative AI model so they can ask questions of it directly The best part? Many of these solutions have been co-created with customers, developing niche AI analytics and alerts for real-world needs. That same business had a big problem with people concealing parcels, and the analytics built to spot it have since become part of what the platform offers. There’s a saying in my team: a Verkada camera is probably at its worst on the day you buy it, because it only gets better from there✨ If there’s a problem in your business you think a camera might be able to see, I’d love to hear it. Drop me a message and let’s explore what’s possible. #PhysicalSecurity #AI

Novel antibody formats are multiplying fast, but most data infrastructure hasn’t kept pace. Your years of antibody data end up unstructured, and AI models have nothing to learn from. At #PEGSEurope, I’ll show how we close the gap, giving antibody teams a shared, structured foundation to design, characterize, register, and learn from proteins, and what that means for the speed of your DBTL cycles. Someone senior pings you on Slack: "Can we get this campaign live?" You know it won't move the number. They know it won't move the number. But the campaign goes live anyway. That's how most media plans die. Not in one bad decision, but in 20 small yeses we say every month. The easiest way to fix it is to add one line in your media plan that earmarks 5% of your budget for internal requests. Not as a courtesy, but as protection. And it turns a "no" into a "yes" with a limit. "We have room for that in the test budget" lands completely differently than "that's not in the plan." It gives you something to point at, and you're not blocking someone's idea. You're holding an agreement you both signed off on. It caps the damage, so pet projects stop eating the campaigns that are actually producing pipeline. And lastly, it gives good ideas a real home because some of those requests are right, so now there's a place to find out. Without it you don't have a plan, you have a wall. And trust me, people will climb walls. The 5% is not the point. Protecting the other 95% is. And I'd be lying if I said we always get this right. We're a small company. Someone has an idea on Tuesday and it's live by Thursday because it's an easy trap. But here's the thing. Every budget already has an earmark for this. Yours just isn't written down, it's bigger than 5%, and nobody agreed to it. Most teams have no idea how big it's gotten. That's usually the first thing we find. If you want to know what yours is, that's what the "Fix My Ads" free audit does. We go through your channels, show you what's actually producing and what's just living there, and tell you what we'd change first. It's free, and you'll leave the call with the list, whether or not you ever work with us. Book it here: https://lnkd.in/eVR3GsxD

Back in London after two fantastic weeks on the road with our Security Summits in Munich 🇩🇪 and Paris 🇫🇷, and still thinking about the conversations. For me, the value of these events is bringing together our ecosystem, from existing customers and partners to the people discovering cloud physical security. The best moments were when those three groups started talking to each other rather than to us. The story that stayed with me came from a French utilities business rolling Verkada out across 80+ sites. What they kept coming back to was being able to see everything across the entire estate in a single view, and still manage each location on its own terms. That’s the thing most multi-site teams have been missing. The other thing I heard, again and again, was partners asking how they bring more of their customers into these conversations. Which is exactly what we’re building towards next. 🎉 VerkadaOne London is back in the first week of March 2027. If you missed us in Munich or Paris, this is the one to be in the room for. Registration opens in the coming weeks, so drop me a message if you’d like to be first to know. Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to the partners who made both events what they were 🙏 #Verkada #PhysicalSecurity #CloudSecurity

At a recent founders' dinner in Hyderabad, I asked everyone a simple question: Is building your company in India an advantage or a disadvantage? Most said it was an advantage. But their reasons were remarkably different. Some pointed to customers willing to adopt new technologies. Others mentioned specialized engineering talent, infrastructure built over decades, emerging local suppliers, or the ingenuity of accomplishing more with limited resources. One exchange was particularly interesting. A founder building quantum computers described how difficult it can be to source highly specialized equipment. Across the table, another founder developing advanced optical systems suggested that a manufacturer in his network might have relevant capabilities. They began comparing technical requirements. No promise of a partnership, with the technical fit still uncertain at the end of the dinner. But the conversation illustrated something important: Sometimes a disadvantage for one startup becomes the opportunity for another to build a capability that many companies could eventually benefit from. Three questions I took away for entrepreneurs everywhere: 1️⃣ What constraint have I learned to accept that might actually be a business opportunity? 2️⃣ Could solving that problem create a valuable capability for customers beyond my first market? 3️⃣ Who else is facing a related challenge, and what could we learn from one another? I wrote my field notes from the dinner, drawing on the founders' experiences across space optics, high-altitude platforms, quantum computing and sensing, advanced energy, and autonomous aircraft. I believe their insights will be useful to other entrepreneurs thinking about how to build globally competitive companies. My thanks to all the founders for such generous and thought-provoking conversations, to Dharsha Udayakumar and the T-Hub community for bringing everyone together, and to Ravi Jain and Vasan Churchill for engaging in this special evening. When one startup's solution makes the next startup easier to build, an ecosystem begins to compound. My field notes: https://lnkd.in/g9XE-kbT

Corporate communications leaders are being asked to demonstrate more value, often without a corresponding increase in their budgets. And data and analytics are becoming increasingly important to meeting those expectations, but theres a cost that often goes overlooked. When every vendor, platform and partner maintains its own data and analytics workflow, organizations end up paying multiple times to collect, clean, reconcile and report on different pieces of the same data. Thats money that could be going toward better measurement, stronger intelligence and new AI capabilities. We've seen that changing the underlying infrastructure can generate $2-$3 in data management savings for every $1 invested. Communications leaders shouldnt have to choose between controlling costs and improving their intelligence capabilities. The right infrastructure can help them do both. #CorporateAffairs #CorporateCommunications #DataInfrastructure #DataStrategy #DataQuality #DataOwnership #CommunicationMeasurement #PRmeasurement #StrategicCommunications #strategy #leadership #StrategicComms

Corporate communications leaders have fought hard for a seat at the executive table. But how can they fully own their strategic contributions when so much of the data informing their decisions is owned, managed, and interpreted by someone else? Vendors and platforms have an important role to play. But they cant develop the same understanding of your organization that you can. Every campaign, stakeholder interaction, narrative shift, and business decision creates an opportunity to learn something about your organization. That understanding should accumulate within the enterprise, not remain scattered across the vendors and platforms that serve it. The AI era will reward organizations that understand their own data, not just those with access to it. This is why I believe the days of outsourcing the "raising of your data" is over. #CorporateAffairs #CorporateCommunications #DataInfrastructure #DataStrategy #DataQuality #DataOwnership #CommunicationMeasurement #PRmeasurement #StrategicCommunications #strategy #leadership #StrategicComms #AIinComms

A doctor, a nurse, a CFO, and an AI mastermind walk into a room… No, it’s not the start of a joke 😂 It’s the start of a conversation healthcare leaders need to have. As a nurse and a CEO, I’ve sat on both sides of the workforce conversation. I know how differently a staffing decision can look on a spreadsheet than it does on a clinical floor. Leaving a role open might help this month’s budget. But what happens when appointments get pushed out, wait times grow, or another clinician decides they can’t keep covering the gap? We have to do that math, too. I’m looking forward to digging into it with Kristin Gaffney, DO, Todd Huffman, CPA, Charlie Lougheed, and Josh M. Berlin in an upcoming panel hosted by ro3. 🎙️ We’re bringing clinical practice, finance, workforce, and technology perspectives to questions like: 👉 When should you hire an FTE, bring in a locum, or leave a role unfilled? 👉 How can data and AI help match staffing to what patients actually need? 👉 Where can we find savings while protecting our teams and keeping care accessible? These are hard decisions with real consequences. I’m excited to hear where we agree, where we challenge each other, and what we can learn. Join us and bring your questions. The hardest question in cybersecurity this week was not "Are we patched?" It was "Where is PHP running?" Yesterday, two critical flaws in PHP were disclosed. PHP runs roughly 7 in 10 websites, and attackers were probing four days before a patch existed. Authorities in the US, UK, and Europe then told every organization, not just government agencies, to patch immediately or take vulnerable systems offline. Credit to Wiz and OpenAI for finding and reporting these flaws. Responsible discovery is what gives defenders a fighting chance. What I am hearing from dozens of CISOs today, and seeing in Booz Allen Hamilton threat hunting intelligence: ▶️ Time to find matters more than time to patch. The fix was ready in hours. Finding every place it needed to go is taking much more time. Exposed PHP sits in vendor portals and even some security tools. Once you know where PHP runs, determine which systems sit in an attacker's path and fix those first. ▶️ The off switch needs an owner. Organizations had hours to decide whether to take customer-facing services down, and few had agreed in advance who makes that call. Decide now which systems can go dark, who approves it, and what an hour of downtime costs. For critical systems that cannot be patched at all, that decision belongs with executive leadership. ▶️ AI is shrinking defenders' head start. Code that sat untouched for a decade became a working exploit with AI's help, and attackers moved before the fix shipped. A patched system is not necessarily a clean one, so look for signs of compromise. Within 24 hours, our own incident response team was already responding to possible compromises. The question for every executive this week: how long would it take us to find every system that needs the fix? Our full threat intelligence brief is below. #Cybersecurity #BoardGovernance #ThreatIntelligence #AI #PHP Kraig Rutland David Faraone Scott Walters Emily Helmke

When I started Executive Presence, most CEOs told me LinkedIn wasn’t for them. Too self-promotional. Too risky. Easier to stay quiet. I understood the instinct. I spent years on a nuclear submarine, where staying quiet is the whole job. But I also saw what happened when leaders shared real expertise and a real point of view: credibility, relationships, and business results that a press release never delivers. So I made a narrow bet on it. Last week, that bet earned Executive Presence a win at the 2026 TITAN Awards for Achievement in Growth. Since we started, we’ve worked with more than 400 executives. Today we represent the CEOs of five publicly traded companies, along with leaders in healthcare, technology, professional services, and manufacturing. The biggest shift isn’t in our numbers. It’s in the question executives ask us. It used to be “should I be doing this?” Now it’s “how do I start?” What began as a narrow bet has become table stakes. I’m proud of the recognition. I’m prouder of the team behind it: former consultants, writers, and media strategists who understand the business goals behind every post. Thank you to them, and to every executive who trusted us with their voice. We were picked up by The Associated Press, The Colorado Gazette, Rocky Mountain Business Brief, FOX31 KDVR / Channel 2 KWGN, Tech Journal of Colorado, and more. Full article in the comments. The growth came from leaders deciding to show up. That’s still the hard part, and it’s still the part that works.
