What is your ROAS actually counting? Often it’s shoppers who already knew your brand and were close to buying anyway: people searching for you by name, or returning customers. Last click credits the final touch before a purchase, so spend drifts toward them, and the activity that reaches new customers looks expensive. A brand can post a strong ROAS and keep selling to the same people. Huel took a different view of its spend. In its first six months with Fospha as its consistent source of truth, the brand grew new customer conversions 54%, within its target customer acquisition cost. If I had to pick one scoreboard for growth, it would be new customers. Fospha’s Media Mix Attribution gives teams that scoreboard. Here’s how a team uses it: - Compare every channel on the same footing, new customers included - Drill down to the campaign and ad that’s actually working - Act on it the same day, without waiting for a report Speak to our team to see how many new customers each of your channels brings in and read our Huel case study. Being able to move instantly gets you further down your to-do list. Far more optimization opportunities surface across a team’s channels and markets each week than the team has hours to act on, so most teams act on only a few. The rest wait until the moment has passed: basically everything after the second biggest channel in the two biggest markets. Myprotein analysts ask complex questions about their marketing mix in plain language and turn the answers into stakeholder-ready analysis, including analysis the team never had the bandwidth to run before. In the Fospha Measurement System, AI and automation surface what needs attention, and approved actions run within rules the team sets. I think the biggest cost of slow measurement is the opportunities nobody had time to look at. Those are where speed pays off. Speak to our team to see which opportunities your numbers are missing. Seven markets in ten years, and not one of them opened with fresh budget. Every new country this coffee e-shop entered was paid for by profit from the countries already running. CZ and SK funded the next one. That one funded the one after. Order went CZ, SK, HU, RO, then BG, HR, SI. Roughly one new market every two years. Slow on purpose. Most expansion plans work the other way around. Someone approves a launch budget, the market gets twelve months to prove itself, and month nine shows up with a ROAS nobody wants to defend. What the profit-funded version changes in practice: 1. the new market opens small, because the money is money someone already earned 2. MER across the whole e-shop stays the KPI, not the new market's own ROAS 3. a weak market does not threaten the group, it just grows slower 4. nobody has to kill it in month nine to protect a budget line The tradeoff is real. This is slower than raising money and buying share, and in a land-grab category it is the wrong model. For an e-shop competing on range and repeat purchase, it turned Google Ads from a cost line into the thing that funded the expansion. Rule: fund new markets from the cash the old ones throw off, and expansion stops being a bet you have to win this quarter. Read more: https://lnkd.in/eUph9atW

Sie haben gerade 100 Mio. € All Time Umsatz geknackt.

$535K in pipeline. 107 opportunities. One campaign. Here's the honest version of how I got there: I didn't guess my way into this number. I tested my way into it. Every campaign I run follows the same structure. Not the same offer, not the same copy, the same process. I launch small. I watch what the data says in the first few days, not what I hope it says. Whatever's working, I scale it harder through Instantly.ai. Whatever's flat, I kill it fast instead of nursing it along. Outbound isn't a one-shot bet. It's a testing game played over and over until something clicks, and then you lean all the way into what clicked. The $535K in pipeline isn't the point though it's a nice number. The process behind it is - because it's the same process that gets applied to the next campaign, and the one after that.

Go outside. Touch grass. Let Instantly.ai run your outbound while you're not watching it. Just checking on a campaign while I'm OOO. The campaign didn't take one. $485K in pipeline. 97 opportunities. While I checked in maybe twice, just to confirm it was still healthy. No daily tweaks. No sitting behind a laptop babysitting send times. No "let me just fix one thing" while I'm supposed to be off the clock. Just a campaign built well enough to run itself, and a platform that actually let it. Everyone obsesses over building outbound that converts. Most just don't build outbound that doesn't need them standing over it to keep converting. If your pipeline falls apart the moment you look away, it's not a system. It's a job you haven't automated yet. Build it once. Build it right. Then actually go outside.

In this new episode of The Luxury Society Podcast, David Sadigh and I speak to José Gaztelu, CEO of Chrono24, the world’s leading online watch marketplace. We cover a lot of ground, including value perception, value retention and how brands are increasingly looking to the secondary market to define product strategy. Where pre-owned was once a market segment luxury companies viewed with disdain, now they have to take it seriously. As BREITLING CEO Jean-Marc Pontroue said in our previous episode, a brand’s greatest threat is often itself. Listen to the full episode using the links below.

(not) hot take: the channel is now the ecosystem The channel has become an ecosystem...vendors, hyperscalers, service providers, value added resellers, MSPs, distis, and advisory and consulting firms (among others) are all playing a key role in the channel sale The role of the traditional channel reseller is changing It is not just about who sourced the deal, but who influenced the deal If you are a vendor, in the comments tell me what you are now expecting of your partners? And if you are a partner, in the comment tell me how you are changing your model?

Also habe ich nachgemessen.

You do not need a brand-new idea every time you post. You need a few important beliefs your market starts associating with you. If one belief matters to your buyer, reinforce it. Not by reposting the same thing. By proving it differently. → Tell a client story → Share a data point → Record a video → Write a case study → Teach it in a workshop Same belief. Different proof. That is how someone goes from seeing an idea once to actually believing it. Your content strategy does not need 30 unrelated ideas every month. It needs a few strong ideas worth repeating.

If you’ve talked to me recently, TikTok Shop probably came up. Not just because of what people are buying (although that’s a rabbit hole in itself lol). But because I think we’re watching the traditional path to purchase get completely rewritten in real time. And Sephora launching on TikTok Shop is a BIG signal. The old funnel: See an ad → get interested → Google → read reviews → visit a retailer → buy. Now? Watch a creator → discover a product → see social proof → buy. Without ever leaving TikTok. And Sephora is going even further with its new Drop Shop: products will debut on TikTok Shop through exclusive drops, creator content and LIVE events, with select products moving to Sephora.com and stores later. That sequencing is the interesting part. TikTok isn’t just the marketing channel sending traffic to the store anymore. TikTok IS the store. Discovery, education, entertainment, social proof and transaction are all happening in the same place. For years, retailers have obsessed over shortening the path to purchase. This might be what happens when the path basically disappears. Going deeper on this in Sunday’s Newsie. 👀

Your packaging is one of your most underutilized performance marketing channels. For years, marketers have relied on pixels to teach ad platforms who converts. Someone sees an ad → buys on your site → the pixel captures it → Meta gets smarter. Great system… if everyone buys on your website. But for consumer goods brands, a huge percentage of purchases happen somewhere else: Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Home Depot, specialty retail, etc. And when that happens, the feedback loop breaks. The brand knows it spent money acquiring demand. The retailer knows a purchase happened. But the ad platform often has no idea those two things are connected. This is why we need to start looking at warranty registration as a performance marketing tool, not just a post-purchase form. A customer buys your product in-store. They get home, open the box and scan a QR code to register their warranty. That moment creates something incredibly valuable: a direct, verified signal from a customer you otherwise might never know. And that signal can be sent back to the platforms where you're spending your ad dollars. Your packaging becomes your pixel. We’re seeing the impact of this with brands like Turtlebox Audio. By feeding verified purchase data back to Meta, they saw a 64% uplift in attributed conversions. The interesting part isn't just better attribution; it's what happens when you close the feedback loop. Ad platforms optimize based on the conversion signals we give them. If they only see your DTC sales, they're learning from an incomplete picture of who actually buys your products. Feed verified retail purchases back into that system, and suddenly Meta has more of the right signals to learn from, helping it understand who converts, find more people like them, and optimize spend accordingly. For omnichannel brands, that's a pretty meaningful unlock. The sale doesn't have to happen on your website for it to make your digital advertising smarter. And warranty registration provides the missing link.
