#Doccle #Cybersecurity #Factuurfraude

I am a decent engineer. I was a terrible seller. When I started selling, my biggest fear was the live call. Every time a prospect named a competitor I had never heard of, I would freeze. I knew our product was better. But in the moment, trying to remember what made us different from 15 other startups on the market was impossible. I would scramble to find a battlecard on my other screen while trying to look casual. People think the solution is more training. Make reps memorize endless competitor matrices. But when they get on a live call under pressure, that knowledge is hard to recall. The top 1% of sellers do not succeed because they memorized 20 battlecards. They succeed because they can guide the conversation and position themselves instantly. We built Backdrop to give every seller that confidence on day one. It is a live, in-call assistant that reads the transcript and pushes the exact competitor counterpoints and discovery questions you need, the moment they come up. Think of it like Waze. The driver is still in control, but they never get lost.

If AI makes automation easier to build, what will MSP customers keep paying for every month? My view: the opportunity grows around taking responsibility for a service that keeps working. Building the workflow is part of that promise. So are checking completion, handling exceptions and keeping it running when the customer's systems change. Take employee access. The account was created, but access to the business application failed. The workflow ran. Can the employee actually start work? That leaves a practical question: who owns the gap, and what proves the service is complete? This is the service model we are building around at Autom Mate. I'd like to test the commercial assumption with MSP leaders: which of these responsibilities would your customers pay for as an ongoing service, and which do they already expect in your existing contract? Bring one recurring access or onboarding process. In a 20-minute walkthrough, we can map the service scope, completion check and exception owner. https://lnkd.in/dCe4mYyw

Mehr Content. Weniger Ressourcen.

Most companies can measure their AI adoption. Almost none of them can deliver business impact. Here's one reason why: adoption often naturally caps around 16%. That's the share of people who pick up AI on their own, without anyone enabling them. Past that point, most companies stop progressing. I spent the last 2.5 years leading AI transformation at Make. Today, our AI adoption is at 96% across 350+ people. But there's so much more behind the number. 🟪 We split accountability into three layers: leadership, managers, and the people doing the daily work, clarifying what each layer owns. 🟪 We put a dedicated AI lead inside every department instead of building one central "center of excellence." 🟪 We replaced ambiguity with a bar: a clear definition of what "using AI" means for every single role. 🟪 And then, we nudged everyone by making AI adoption mandatory. Unpopular at first, but 88% approval two quarters in. This is the deepest look I've given into the backstage of our AI transformation, going into the the why behind each step. Waar blijft mijn bestelling? Begrijpelijk.

In welcher Office-Anwendung würdest du amber zuerst ausprobieren?

#Blueriq #digitaleoverheid

BIGGEST mistake junior sellers make (myself included). Thinking a great demo is enough to close the deal. They can love the product and still have no reason to buy it this quarter. You need to know why they’d act now, and give the person on the call a case they can make to everyone else. Or 2 weeks later, you’re sending your 4th “Just bumping this” email. --- P.S. we are building something that solves this https://lnkd.in/d8PUAS4u

"We need to be more proactive." It's the most repeated line in Customer Success. It's also the most undefined. What does proactive actually mean? Two things: Play defense — react to signals across your base: → Usage drops → check in with a key user → Renewal ahead → send a proposal that frames the value → Champion leaves → find a new one, fast Play offense — run your own processes: → Weekly cadence on tier 1 accounts → schedule the call → Share value → send the ROI email → Multi-thread → reach the decision maker Most CS teams have both figured out. On paper. The playbooks exist. They live in slides, Notion, Confluence. They look great at QBRs. But they never actually reach the customer. CSMs are too busy firefighting to remember the defense motions, too slammed to run the offense motions. The playbook stays theoretical while the renewal quietly slips. You don't need a better playbook. You need a system that brings the playbook to your CSMs at the moment they need it, on the customer who needs it, with the action already teed up. That's the difference between a team that talks about being proactive and one that actually is.

For 16 years, I've been working on making event sourcing easier to adopt. I just realized I've only been looking at half of the problem. When I started experimenting with CQRS and event sourcing back in 2008, I quickly saw the value it brought. The cost of implementing it, however, was high. Lots of plumbing, lots of new concepts to learn. So I set myself a goal: bring that cost down until the return on investment made sense. Axon Framework was built around that idea, and so was Axoniq. This summer, I gave the keynote at the Event Modeling Conference in Munich, titled "Event Sourcing for the other 95%". While preparing it, something started to bother me. Event sourcing is pretty much the summum of event-driven architecture. For greenfield applications, building on it from day one has proven to be a clear win, time and time again. But most applications aren't greenfield, and most of them don't need the full 100%. For those, 80% is more than enough. Restructuring an existing application around event sourcing is a major undertaking, and that last 20% rarely brings enough value to justify it. Especially when the system has been running for a decade and nobody really dares to touch it anymore. So we asked ourselves a different question. What if we took everything we've learned about what good events look like, combined it with the storage and distribution technology we already have, and applied that to legacy systems? And what if that didn't require you to change a single line of code? Regardless of the language the system was written in, and regardless of whether the people who built it are still around. That sounded too good to be true, which is exactly why we wanted to try it. We ran a few experiments to find out whether it can be done. It can. So that's what we're building right now. Here's how it works. We look at how a system interacts with the outside world: its APIs, its database, the messaging middleware it talks to. We combine that with the internal code flow and, if it's available, the source code. From that, we map out which actions carry which business meaning. When such an action occurs, we emit an event that represents what happened in business terms. Live, as it happens. This allows any legacy system to take part in an event-driven architecture. And unlike Change Data Capture, which tells you that a row in table ORD_HDR was updated, these events tell you that an order was placed. That makes them far more useful for long-term storage and for analysis later on. Should I have thought of this 16 years ago? Maybe. Perhaps I even did, at some point. But it wouldn't have helped much. One of the ingredients that turned out to be absolutely necessary wasn't reliable enough back then: AI. How many systems in your landscape will never be rewritten, but would tell a very interesting story if they could?

Everyone is frustrated with GitHub at this point. Reliability issues left and right. On top of that, it's entirely unclear if git and our current approach of versioning makes sense going forward. Code is becoming abundant and cheaper to generate. At the same time, the context, prompts and input to what generated the code become more important (and need to be versioned as well). Whether git is the protocol/technology we use going forward or not is hard to predict. What's definitely happening is that source code storage and versioning is being added as a feature to other platforms. Cursor and SpaceXAI are leading the charge and Cursor Origin really sets them apart from the other labs. Generate your code with Cursor, store your code in Cursor. It just makes sense. I'm excited that we integrated Jenkins and CloudBees CI (our enterprise product for Jenkins) with Cursor Origin. Thank you Davy L.
