M365, kein Bedarf!

Companies keep buying AI licences. Then they wonder why half the building hides the work in a private chat. New data keeps pointing at a cause most boards still treat as soft. Empathy. Not as a poster on the wall. As whether people believe the organisation will still want them after the tool works. In empathetic cultures, almost nine in ten employees say they got decent AI training. In toxic ones, a third. Eighty percent in the first group say AI gives them more control over their work. Just over half of all employees say the same. A third of C-suite respondents still name headcount reduction as the main reason they invest. Sixty percent then admit they will need more empathy as the firm depends on the machines. That gap is the strategy. I saw the practical version of this in Singen last week. We can give people agents that plan, build and test. We can put a human at the gate so nothing goes live without a yes. None of that scales if the room thinks the project is a polite way to shrink the team. They will not bring the real process. They will keep the clever version in a notebook. I watched the same pattern in banking. Internally focused houses talked transformation and measured cost. The people who still owned the client relationship heard a different message. Adoption stalled in the hallway, not in the architecture. Culture is not the opposite of governance. It is what makes governance usable. If leaders cannot say which work stays human, who is allowed to build, and how people will be measured after the speed arrives, the model will be used against the grain. Quietly. Fast. The question I would put to a leadership team this week is not “have we rolled out AI.” It is whether a capable person on your team would show you what they already built.

Börjar ert migreringsprojekt i fel ände?

12 servere. Med fuld kontrol over data.

The 2026 Microsoft Digital Defence Report makes one point very clear: cyber risk is no longer confined to individual devices, systems or organisations. Full report & exec summary pdf links in the comments. Cyber risk now travels through interconnected identities, data, cloud platforms, software supply chains, partners and AI systems. My thoughts: 🌐 AI is accelerating both attack and defence. Its reducing the time, cost and expertise needed to discover vulnerabilities and execute attacks. At the same time, it gives defenders (us) new opportunities to correlate signals, prioritise risk and respond at machine speed. 🌐 Identity remains the primary control plane. Attackers continue to exploit valid accounts, excessive privileges and weak governance - hackers dont hack, they (still) login. Phishing-resistant MFA, passkeys, least privilege and tighter control of both human and non-human identities remains fundamental. 🌐 People are still a major route in. Phishing, impersonation, malicious copy-and-paste attacks and increasingly convincing voice-based social engineering continue to succeed. 🌐 Patching speed matters more than ever. AI-assisted discovery and exploit development are shrinking the window between vulnerability disclosure and active exploitation. Monthly patching cycles are no longer sufficient for internet-facing and identity systems. 🌐 AI itself is a new attack surface. Agents, prompts, memory, browser extensions, connected tools and AI-generated outputs all introduce new risks. AI governance must therefore include visibility, identity, data protection, monitoring and accountability. 🌐 Bring-your-own-AI and shadow AI is a huge cybersecurity risk to businesses, and it's rife. ❓ The question for business leaders is not simply whether an incident can be prevented, its whether the organisation can contain the damage, continue operating, recover quickly and maintain customer trust. Your pre- and post- breach preparedness matters. The fundamentals have not changed, but the speed, scale and interconnected nature of the threat have. At ctm Information Technology we have cybersecurity, AI, modern work & infrastructure Managed Service teams and, as the (probably) smallest tier-1 Microsoft Partner in the UK, we specialise in the Microsoft ecosystem.

Also worth noting: a joint session with Microsoft, "Scale AI with Trust," Wednesday the 30th from 10 a.m.–12 p.m. MT at Microsoft Booth #1019. Good one if you're in the thick of AI governance or trying to move past pilot mode. But honestly, I'd rather just grab time with you directly than hope we cross paths at the booth.

AI is making writing code cheap. But are we moving faster, or is the bottleneck only shifting? That is the question I keep coming back to. As code generation gets faster, the bottleneck increasingly shifts to the other aspects of software delivery. Requirements. Design and architecture decisions. PR Reviews. Testing. Security. Context quality. That is where the real challenge starts. How do teams keep control over review speed, context, verification and operational discipline as AI increases code output? Because the value of AI is not just in producing more code. It is in helping teams ship better software without losing quality, security or reliability. Curious to hear how others see this.

Most IT strategies wouldn't survive ten minutes with a serious CFO. And I think that's good news. Something is changing in the companies I talk to across Italy and Europe, and often they aren't IT companies at all. The CFO is no longer a guest in the technology conversation. Increasingly, the person who used to approve the budget now owns the function. A lot of technology leaders find this uncomfortable. I think they should welcome it. Because a CFO asks the questions that expose whether a strategy is real: What becomes more efficient? What risk are we actually reducing? What happens to cost over three years? And what business capability are we truly buying? Take AI. I see 20-foot containers of AI projects launched with real budget and genuine excitement, but without a serious answer to the simplest question of all: where's the beef? What business outcome are we actually buying, and how will we know if it arrived? Enthusiasm is not a business case. It's hopetimism. And AI does not suspend the rules of ROI. It raises the stakes on them. Here is the part my own peers won't love: if you cannot explain a technology investment without technical jargon, you probably haven't understood its value yourself. The jargon is often where unclear thinking goes to hide. So let me put it in the language a CFO actually uses. Technology has one job: to serve enterprise value, by growing it or defending it. Either IT makes the business stronger and safer, or it isn't worth the money spent building it. There is no third option. The strongest IT strategies were never technology strategies. They are business strategies that happen to run on technology. The CFO in the room isn't a threat to good technology leadership. It's your fastest route to a yes. And your most powerful sponsor, if you know how to speak business.

“Give me an agent.” It's the request we hear most. It's not always the right one. An orchestrator and a workflow want the same result. The difference is freedom: a workflow follows a fixed path, an orchestrator picks its own. When a process has review moments that can't be skipped, that freedom is a risk, not a feature. In this episode: why we picked a workflow over an agent for this client, and exactly where that line sits. The full episode of Blis Bytes is out now! Right now MSPs have a huge opportunity. As EA gives way to CSP, a market historically dominated by an exclusive group of LSPs has been blown wide open. But MSP's hold the trusted advisor relationships with their customers. They run the technology. They deliver the services. They own the customer outcome. MSPs have the right to win the commercial transaction too. What many don’t have is the operational process, licensing expertise and commercial capability to do it consistently and at scale. That's the gap we built CSP Growth Engine to close.
