Sjoerd is videomaker. Stuur me een DM.

What are we asking healthcare furniture to do? For designers, the answer reaches beyond any single product. It includes the client’s investment, the demands of a clinical setting, and the experience of a person receiving care. Thoughtful specification brings these considerations into the same conversation. That begins with how we define performance. At MillerKnolll, performance is the degree to which a product or environment supports the human, clinical, operational, and financial requirements of a healthcare setting over time. This definition makes room for both clinical rigor and human needs. It recognizes that a welcoming environment and a well-performing one can be the same place. Our performance-based methodology puts that thinking into practice. A structure for those decisions, helping designers balance competing priorities while keeping people in view. MillerKnoll’s interactive checklist of Furniture Design Features and Healthcare Outcomes helps designers align specifications with the unique demands of each setting through five performance dimensions: ✓ Accessibility ✓ Usability ✓ Cleanability ✓ Durability ✓ Investment Give it a try…our performance-based approach helps designers specify healthcare furniture with confidence, placing the right product in the right setting to support people, care delivery, and long-term outcomes. https://lnkd.in/gpK2YMev

What does it mean for furniture to perform well in an environmental setting? For designers, performance is more than how a product functions. It's about how a setting makes people feel. This is especially true in healthcare environments which support some of life's most meaningful and vulnerable moments. They can ease uncertainty, create comfort, support clinical staff, and help people feel more connected to those around them. Every setting plays a different role in that experience. A patient room serves different needs than a family lounge. A nurses’ station requires different support than a waiting area. Thoughtful design recognizes these differences and responds with intention. A performance-based approach helps designers connect clinical requirements with human needs, balancing operational demands within settings that feel welcoming, supportive, and even restorative. Consider seating that accommodates a range of mobility needs. Materials that support rigorous cleaning protocols. Components designed to adapt over time. Individually, these decisions may seem small. Together, they shape how people experience care. We know that great healthcare design isn't simply about specifying products. It's about creating environments that help people feel seen, supported, and cared for. Our healthcare specialists have codified decades of research, product innovation, and real-world learning into a performance-based approach that helps designers make more intentional specification decisions, placing the right product in the right setting to support people, care delivery, and long-term outcomes. A few months ago, a client messaged me with a nightmare: a freelancer was bombarding him with messages. He made threats about intellectual property and even wrote to the client's clients, claiming his IP rights had been violated so he awaits some royalties. He even flew across Europe to report to the local police in person. That’s not a rare situation. If you are part of the gamedev community, you might have heard about the Imagos Softworks or Tiny Bunny cases. In both of them composers claimed the developers owed them millions of dollars for using their compositions once the games became popular. If you don’t want to end up in a situation like this run a quick check: 1. Which company is named as the buyer of rights in the contract? 2. Can you find a contract, act and payment for one person within an hour? 3. Does your contract say “assigns” or “grants the right to use”? 4. Does your deliverables link include sources, sketches and iterations? 5. Do you know what in the current build was generated or taken from a stock? Feel free to DM me if you want to learn in more detail what a proper IP rights transfer should look like. OR Book a demo with our team: https://lnkd.in/eiQPs6qk P.S. With that client, we sent the freelancer the relevant clause from the contract he had signed. The messages stopped.

Kentico Connection 2026 in Sydney. I came home with an award, a deadline and a lot to think about. The award. Dapth won the Growth Partner Award at the Kentico Partner Awards 2026. Two of our projects, City of Mandurah and Complete Home Filtration, were also named Kentico's Site of the Month for September. The deadline. Support for Kentico Xperience 13 ends on 31 December 2026. Your site won't switch off on 1 January, but it stops being supported. The shift. On the AI panel, my view was simple. AI is already in the room. Someone still has to decide what the website is for and own the result. I've written up what I learned, the advice from The GPT Group I'd put on every migration brief, and what is coming with AIRA and KentiCopilot. Thank you to Kentico, my fellow panellists and Ben De Jonge from my team. Full article below.

Projecten, uren, klanten: alles in één systeem. Onze HR?

Who owns your brand’s front door now? What happens when consumers stop visiting your storefront and let an AI assistant handle their shopping, subscriptions and service requests? In my latest blog, I unpack what this means for businesses, the regulatory hurdles ahead, and the priorities every brand needs to focus on right now to stay relevant: 🔹 Standards & compliance: navigating protocols like the Universal Commerce Protocol and evolving European regulation. 🔹 Prepare for higher traffic: handling precise, persistent inbound agent traffic for refunds, returns and billing inquiries. 🔹 Evolve your CX: structuring your differentiators so machines can understand and value them. 🔹 Keep the human touch: making sure consumers always have a seamless path to a person when it matters most. 👉 Read the blog here: https://lnkd.in/eQ6txUmS How is your organisation preparing for the agentic commerce era? A logistics team can buy better software and still spend its afternoons copying information between systems. The ERP holds the order, the carrier portal holds the schedule, and the forwarder's email explains why the shipment will miss it. Each has part of the picture. A person has to piece it together, work out what changed and update everyone else. That person has become the Human API: the connection that keeps otherwise disconnected systems working together. For years, it was the most practical arrangement available. But it keeps skilled operators busy moving information when they could be acting on it. AI can handle that coordination now, giving people the facts they need to decide sooner. More here:

In Italien gilt italienisches Arbeitsrecht. 👇 #GlobalWorkforce #EOR #RemoteWork #HR #InternationalHiring

Electronics manufacturing depends on the same skilled workforce that a new Alliance for America’s Skilled Trades report is worried about. The report, developed with Jobs for the Future (JFF), projects about 1.7 million skilled trades openings a year through 2035, while training programs are producing just 55 workers for every 100 needed. Our industry feels that gap directly. Every new fab and assembly line needs technicians, electricians, and industrial machinery mechanics to install, maintain, and keep it running, and we are competing for those people with every other sector in the report. The Semiconductor Industry Association already projects a gap of roughly 67,000 technicians and engineers by 2030, which means building the capacity is only half the job. What stood out to me is where people get lost along the way. Fewer than half of apprenticeship starters finish their program, so how many people we enroll tells us very little about whether the pipeline is working. That is a big reason the Global Electronics Association built registered apprenticeship programs for electronics assemblers, PCB fabricators, and PCB designers, and why I care as much about who finishes and stays in the field as who gets started. How are you measuring whether your training programs are working? https://lnkd.in/eAUUxFiT

Digital adoption in banks and building societies is strengthened by the confidence around it. For many years in my career, I've had the privilege of working with banks and building societies as customer channels have evolved across the UK, Ireland, Canada and Australia. One theme has remained highly relevant: access creates opportunity, and confidence helps customers turn that opportunity into sustained use. Human support can be especially influential when a customer is trying a digital service for the first time, wants reassurance about security or encounters an unfamiliar step. The colleague's ability to listen, understand the concern and guide a successful next step can shape whether the customer returns to the service. This makes digital adoption a people-capability opportunity alongside the continuing investment in technology and customer journeys. Positive, solution-oriented language helps colleagues explain what is possible. Skilled objection handling turns questions into relevant reassurance. Ownership gives the customer a sense of purposeful progress. Managers then reinforce these capabilities through practical coaching around real interactions. We've explored this in our latest article: Closing the digital adoption gap through human capability - read it here > https://lnkd.in/ezv_2EmT I'd be interested to hear where human support has the greatest influence on digital confidence in your organisation.

Welch Comer Engineers has been surveying the Inland Northwest for more than 40 years. Today, most of the firm’s LiDAR data comes from drones. For drone pilot Thomas Tucker, that meant evaluating Mach9 on the data he works with every day. Before bringing Mach9 into the firm’s workflow, he wanted to see how it handled an aerial dataset. We processed one of his datasets during the evaluation. The results convinced him to move forward with Mach9. Here’s what his workflow looks like now, from flying the mission to exporting to CAD: → Collect low and slow as the project requires The collection altitude and speed are chosen to maximize point cloud density, which leads to the best results downstream for extraction. After collection, the data is processed to create a point cloud and an ortho TIFF. → Point cloud and ortho both go into Mach9. For top-down work, he keeps the ortho in the background and dials point cloud visibility down. This makes gravel roads and hard-to-see pavement easier to distinguish than in a colorized cloud, while keeping enough of the cloud visible to work with the underlying 3D data. → Mach9’s automated extraction returns line work and points as a drafted first pass. On one of his quarter-mile datasets, processing takes about 5 minutes. The automated survey comes back in about 30 minutes. → He runs every vertex himself and approves what's right. On his most recent dataset, he mostly added a few vertices here and there. By his estimate, half of those additions came down to preference rather than correction. → He builds the TIN surface in the same window. He drapes the points onto the cloud and checks flagged crossing breaklines before exporting the surface as XML. …then straight out to CAD.

My AI agent had a very productive morning. 9:01 AM: Pulled customer records from Salesforce. 9:02 AM: Queried the finance database "for context." 9:03 AM: Read a local file called final_FINAL_v7_DO_NOT_SHARE.xlsx. 9:04 AM: Called an MCP server nobody has ever heard of. 9:05 AM: Wrote a lovely summary and sent it somewhere outside policy. 9:06 AM: Security asks what happened. The agent never took a coffee break. It never asked permission. Honestly, it was the most productive employee we had this quarter. That's the issue. Legacy DLP was built for Dave from accounting emailing a spreadsheet to his Gmail. It was not built for an intern made of math that does 40 tool calls before your SIEM finishes loading. At Nightfall AI, we built for the new Dave: 🔹 MCP Gateway: approve the servers you need and block the rest by default. Your agent doesn't need to talk to "totally-legit-mcp-server-final2." 🔹 Inference Hooks: inspect and block prompts, tool calls, and responses inside the live Claude session, across web, desktop, Claude Code, Cowork, and Slack. 🔹 Nyx, our autonomous DLP analyst: triages what matters on day one, with no 6-month tuning project and no 400-line regex nobody understands. Live in one working hour. Not one fiscal year. One hour. AI is going to move your data either way. The only real question is whether you find out before it happens or in a postmortem. Most companies have AI agents that are basically former employees who still have a badge. A new Arrakis Security report found 76% of production AI agents haven't run in 60 days. Their credentials still work, and their triggers still fire. 70% can reach sensitive systems. Almost none of those connections have verified DLP. Somewhere there's an agent built for a spring project, still holding the keys to the data warehouse, waiting for someone to say its name. A quarter of the idle ones can be woken by an unsigned webhook from outside the company. Endpoint controls help with agents on laptops (Cyera and Bloom Security just teamed up on one). The forgotten agents tend to live in SaaS workflows and behind MCP servers. You'd cut off a departed employee's access the same day. Agents deserve the same exit interview. BIG news because marketing teams are about to take on 10 to 100x more work (in the same working hours 😉)!! That's how Profound sizes it, and after a FABULOUS afternoon at Zero Click by Profound, I believe them. Every answer engine (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity etc.) is a new shelf your brand needs to sit on, and nobody is hiring 10x the team to cover it. 3 things I took home: 1. Context is the whole game ↳ Profound launched Aim, an AI Marketer that researches, writes & reports alongside your team. Plus, they have Context Manager, a "marketing brain" underneath it, which learns your brand, goals & how your team works, then carries that into every project. I’ve spent a years running marketing and the hardest part of handing anything is the briefing. An assistant that knows your business ALWAYS beats one you re-brief every other day. 2. Insight is finally turning into action ↳ Ads Studio turns AI search insights into paid campaigns. Before, dashboards showed you where you were missing, then you still had to fix it. Closing this loop saves SO much time! 3. Someone is finally grading AI at marketing ↳ Profound launched APEX, an applied AI lab with the first AI benchmark built for marketing. We test most models on maths and code constantly, and almost never on the work most of us marketers do all day. Marketers are moving from doing the work to directing it. Taste, judgement and knowing your customer stays human, and they will matter MORE than ever. The amount of intentionality with which the team has built the room was…chef’s kiss. Wondering what an AI Marketer could take off your plate? Explore Aim here: https://lnkd.in/eM7vEx7c and let me know what you think! #ProfoundPartner P.S. Fellow marketers, what's the first thing you're testing? P.P.S. Yes, I was indeed trying to match my dress to the background 💃!

Thinking about an MBA while you’re still in college? You may be able to secure your spot before you graduate. Having worked in MBA admissions at top business schools, I’ve seen how valuable the deferred route can be for students planning ahead. Many leading MBA programs typically admit applicants with several years of professional experience. Deferred MBA programs offer a different route: apply while you’re still in school, gain work experience, and enroll a few years later. This can be especially appealing if an MBA fits into your long-term career plans. You can spend those early years building experience, exploring industries, and clarifying your goals with a future business school seat already secured. Some employers also offer MBA sponsorship, which may come with a commitment to return to the firm after graduation. But you don’t need an employer-sponsored path to benefit from deferred admission. It can also give you room to explore before deciding your next move. If you are interested in this path, Leland is hosting a FREE Deferred MBA Week, November 2-5! Join six live sessions with top admissions experts covering deferred MBA programs, the application process, and how to build a competitive application. Register for free here: https://lnkd.in/gmbH6Scb Applying this round? Let’s connect and discuss how to make your application stand out.

AI can't do SEO better than me. But with the right context, it becomes a great sidekick. For example, AI might recommend ten blog posts to improve your SEO. But what if you've already got dozens of pages sitting on page two and three of Google that could help benefit with some content updates? If AI doesn’t understand your existing strategy and priorities, it might recommend creating more content when improving what you already have would be a better use of your time. This is why I‘m excited about Profound's new Context Manager. It integrates with their Aim AI Marketer that helps identify opportunities, create plans, and execute marketing work, which I showcased in a previous post. Now it gives Aim an understanding of your business, including your goals, priorities, brand, products, and how your team works. And that context is carried across everything, saving you time. Which is the greatest use case of AI in my opinion. Otherwise, it’s just quick dopamine and you don’t solve your problem. Curious how it works? Madison helped Fogo de Chão land a menu rollout five weeks early, pulling forward millions for the business. Madison is an AI teammate. She was onboarded by Fogo via Convey for menu and pricing operations. Fogo changes its menu 4 to 6 times a year, and each time she proofs every menu and group sales package against approved pricing and checks that price changes still follow the brand's rules. She also builds competitive pricing analysis across Fogo's markets, and she tracks menu shipments and lets stores know when something's running late. She genuinely owns Fogo's menu operations. She works for the whole team, too. Restaurant managers email her their pricing questions and hear back right away. She answers about 3/4 on her own and sends the judgment calls to Katherine Valentine, who onboarded her. Kat taught Madison the role herself, and can now trust Madison to handle it completely. In September alone, that added up to about 150 hours of work. This is already pretty cool, but what excites me even more is what comes next. Every question Madison answers and every rollout she runs leaves a record of how the work really happens and where it gets stuck. That gives Michael Breed and the Fogo leadership team data they’ve never had before to manage and improve their business, with Madison as a proactive thought partner to help them do so.
