It's a slightly humbling thing to stand in front of a room of people who sell for a living and tell them how selling is changing 🙈 That's what I got to do yesterday, opening Revenue Unlocked. 40+ commercial leaders gave us half a day in the middle of Q4! I opened by warning them that the free ticket to DAC might be the most valuable thing they'd take home. I'm fairly sure we beat it. My opening keynote focused on five shifts I think should shape the 2027 sales stack 🎤 1. Zero-touch CRM is a means, not a goal. 2. The truth should live in fewer places. 3. Qualification frameworks like MEDDPICC can't replace a proper sales methodology. 4. More AI in the market calls for sales reps being more human. 5. Every tool has AI now, and all of it relies on connected data. Then I opened the floor to some of the top people in the industry: Diego Tibamoso Flechas, Mathias Thulin and Tobias Binau shared their take on how to architect for quality, with Lotte Nedergaard Lauridsen moderating. Alexander Mason showed how Retriever built their stack, and was honest that change management, not the systems, was the hard part. Peter O'Sullivan, Mattias Green Adamsen and Jonatan Håkansson made the breakouts practical. Thank you to HubSpot, GetAccept and Garba for building the day with us, to Signe Bjørklund for planning it down to the last detail 💪, and to everyone who took the time to come 🙏

I put together a free guide for e-commerce teams in MENA. It’s a KPI framework Acquisit uses to know whether growth is actually profitable. Because I've talked with founders who are doing everything right, from growing revenue to hitting targets, and still end the month wondering where the money went. For example: You spend $30k a month and acquire 600 customers, so your CAC is $50. You push spend to $40k and acquire 720. The dashboard now reads $56, which looks like a small drop in efficiency. But the extra $10k only brought 120 customers. Those customers cost $83 each. That is your marginal CAC, and it's the number that tells you whether the next dollar is worth spending. In the guide, you'll: 1. Know when more budget stops being profitable before it shows up in the numbers 2. See which channels are creating demand and which are just taking credit for it 3. Know whether your acquisition is profitable right now Stop guessing which channels are worth scaling. Download the guide: https://lnkd.in/d2Pfdc9g
- Ion InteractiveRecorded 8 Oct 2026
A download tells you one thing: someone filled out a form. It doesn't tell you whether that person is actually worth your Sales team's time. It doesn't explain what sparked their interest, what they're trying to solve, how urgent the issue is, or whether they're involved in the buying decision. That missing context is why so many "qualified" leads never turn into real sales conversations. Industry benchmarks put average MQL-to-SQL conversion at around 13%, which helps explain why marketing and sales so often see lead quality differently. A simple interaction can change what you learn. A few thoughtful questions reveal intent, priorities, and how ready someone is to move forward. You understand what they're dealing with, what they've already tried, what they're hoping to achieve, and how important that challenge is to the business. Downloads create contacts. If you want better conversations, start collecting context too.

Proud of this one. Next week, we get the opportunity to introduce www.GripIQ.ai to a broader international audience at DMEXCO - Digital Marketing Expo & Conference in Cologne. GripIQ was built to answer questions every marketing & commercial team should be asking. - "What if sales knew which accounts were actually in-market?" - "What if marketing could see which topics are shaping demand?" - "What if management could spot new market opportunities before they become obvious?" GripIQ brings competitor moves, buyer intent, market signals and growth opportunities together in real time! Turning them into intelligence for marketing, sales and management. DMEXCO marks an important milestone for us: the first international step for GripIQ.ai. We’ve been building for quite some time. Next week, we take it beyond Belgium.

Vil du have fingrene i tjeklisten?

We ranked our client (SaaS, Series A) in AI overviews AND position 1 on Google and it pissed off their competitor 😬 A piece of content created by Discovered Labs was ranking in AI overviews and position 1 on Google within hours of being published, appearing higher than G2 and Gartner comparison pages. Mr. Competitor was not happy at all. Fortunately, the client didn't care. This is something I find funny about the SaaS industry: Competing in the SERP? You're evil and going to hell. But it's totally fine to: - Use software that scrapes your competitor's site every week to monitor changes (it's called product marketing!!) - Create BATTLE (⚔️) cards that enable sales reps with passive-aggresive talk tracks any time a competitor is mentioned - Runs "us vs them" ads, launch ABM campaigns that target competitor customers, etc. Apparently competitive marketing is ok as long as it's not in public view - has to be sneaky so nobody notices! Anyways, this piece of content was created using our CITABLE framework. It's based on our own research as well as research from Google and Anthropic. (DM me if you'd like the breakdown) Although we provide marketing services, we have a team of AI/ML engineers that are constantly researching and trying to develop edges for our clients. My co-founder Ben worked on transformers - an underlying tech for LLMs - and autonomous robots before we partnered. We've been able to do this (AIO, P1 on Google + mentions in LLM) fairly consistently for clients. -- P.S. Man, does anyone else think AI Search / AEO advice sounds like witchcraft with hand-wavy tactics? It's like you've gotta add secret schema to your website that whispers to Sam Altman and in return he'll reward you with some citations Or clap your hands 3 times and say "llms.txt" in the mirror to get mentioned in Claude The advice on here can get a bit silly sometimes, so we made a short film about it called Unconventional Methods. (S/O to Ognjen Bošković and Sam Mackay at Artificial who brought this to life!) There are real edges in AEO - across clients we’re at 10,000s of conversions a month from LLMs - but without data telling you which ones work you may as well be picking your tactics off a tarot card 🔮 The team thinks we should do a follow-up episode on Jimmy’s story, what do you think? 😂 P.S. A flat 10% off is the least interesting thing you can offer a new customer. It hurts your margin, does nothing for long-term loyalty, and quietly signals that your "full price" was inflated in the first place. Every competitor runs the same play, so it registers as noise, not generosity. Here's a more interesting move: build a "beginner's package." A bundle of the specific items first-time buyers tend to gravitate toward, ideally complementary ones. A dress and shoes. A backpack and a sleeping bag. A racket and a carry bag. Price it cheaper than buying the pieces separately. How it actually works: Generate a one-time personalized coupon code the moment someone signs up. Surface it on the confirmation page, then repeat it in the welcome email, or in the post-double-opt-in email if that's your flow. The effect compounds. Average basket revenue goes up for first-time buyers, since they're buying a bundle instead of a single item. The customer gets concrete, tangible value instead of an abstract percentage off. And this is the part that actually matters long-term: once someone owns several pieces of gear from the same brand or bought them from a specific store, they're meaningfully more likely to stay loyal.

4. Videolla vältetään mahdolliset kielimuurit. Videoille on tehtävissä helposti kieliversiot eri markkinoita varten. Two buyers can fill out the same form and leave with completely different priorities. The follow-up that reaches them rarely reflects that difference. One is trying to reduce churn. The other needs to acquire customers. Minutes later, both receive the same email sequence, in the same order, on the same day. I think that's exactly how marketing ends up creating MQLs sales struggles to convert into pipeline, and how MQL-to-SQL conversion stays flat no matter how much lead volume grows. The lead shared valuable context, but nothing changed in the journey that followed. AdRoll's 2026 account-based study found that teams acting on what they actually know about an account achieve 60% higher win rates and 72% stronger engagement than teams sending the same message to everyone. What I find interesting is that personalization only matters when it changes what happens next. Sending more emails or collecting more form fields won't move pipeline quality. Using the answer already given will. The buyer who mentioned churn is still waiting for someone to mention it back. 🫡

when we made our dream guest list for Permission to Rant, Stefan Manojlović was right at the top. so when he agreed to come on, we were over the moon, and i asked him to prepare his ten commandments for content marketers. a little while later, he messaged me: “i fear i’ve cooked with these commandments.” welllllll he was definitely right about that. we finally got into the studio, and he asked if i wanted to read the commandments before we record. i said no. better to be suprised. thank god, because what followed was the purest possible footage of me watching what can only be compared to michelangelo paint the sistine chapel, if michelangelo worked in b2b saas and had strong opinions about mql targets. i had LITERAL chills. i lost my mind. he was right, stefan absolutely f-cking cooked. and underneath the hilarity and wit was something i’ve been blue in the face saying: content isn’t dead. writing isn’t dead. having something to say isn’t dead. this episode is for the marketers who still give a shit. who have opinions. who want to make something worth reading. and who need confirmation that there are still other people out there who feel the same way. stefan is a king. we agree on everything. that is all. do yourself a favour and watch the biggest mic drop of the century on youtube or spotify or wherever you like to listen and nod aggressively and read the full commandments in the state of content teams 2026 report! https://lnkd.in/ePedAJSz https://lnkd.in/eXFMsZGn
