Lowering a target ROAS on purpose is not a mistake when the products underneath it carry different margins. On one coffee e-shop account, dropping the target on a group of Shopping campaigns made the reporting worse and the profit better. The reason sits in the feed, not in the bid strategy. The client roasts their own coffee and owns an accessories brand. Those lines earn far more per order than the brands they resell. One target ROAS across both was quietly costing them money. ✅ own brands: lower target, more volume, more conversions ✅ resold brands: target stays high, because there is no margin to give away Net profit came out higher than it would have been at the ROAS everyone would have called healthy. Agreeing on margin as the primary metric before touching anything is what made that survivable. One limit worth saying out loud: this needs real margin data per product. Without it you are bidding more and hoping. Rule: a target ROAS is not a grade. It is a price you agree to pay, and different products can afford different prices.

There are INTERVIEWS that feel like CONVERSATIONS. And then there are interviews that feel like EXPEDITIONS. Our next episode of SEEKERS and DISRUPTORS was exactly that. We sat down with Richard Garriott. Explorer. Entrepreneur. Astronaut. Game designer. Boundary pusher. What struck me most wasn’t just what Richard has accomplished, but how INTENTIONALLY he has LIVED his life. Very few people move this fluidly between imagination, science, adventure, business, and exploration. Even fewer do it while staying RELENTLESSLY COURIOUS. This is one of my favorite conversations we’ve had so far. Check out the Episode link in the comments. Your Amazon ROAS is a result. What’s your plan to change it? ROAS tells you what happened. Knowing what drives it helps you decide what to do next. I’ve been selling and advertising on Amazon since 2013. This is still one of the most useful ways I know to look at ad performance. In this video, Naio from our team breaks down the four numbers behind your ad sales: impressions, click-through rate, conversion rate and average selling price. Move any one of them by 10% and your ad sales move by 10%. Two of them, click-through rate and conversion rate, can lift ad sales without adding to your ad spend. If you want to try it with your own numbers, our team built a complimentary Amazon Ads Performance Calculator. Test different scenarios and see the impact on your ad sales, spend and ROAS. Free to use. Takes 2 minutes. https://lnkd.in/eMWGPrkr

With a lot of media hype around AI impacting jobs, it’s interesting to see that CMOs report they are hiring MORE because of AI, not less…. (Special note: every episode we choose a different object to clip our microphones to. This episode it was butter knives). 😃 I’ll drop a link to the full study in the comments section below. It’s definitely worth a read. Rob Garf Cordial Susanna Cole Dr. Janet Sherlock

AI won't fix a broken global marketing operation. It will probably expose it faster. Gartners latest AI Hype Cycle argues that the central enterprise question is moving from what AI can do, to whether organisations can account for what AI systems do, what they cost and how they are governed. It specifically highlights the rapid adoption of AI agents and agentic commerce. For global marketing teams, AI creates another layer between the central brand team and local execution. The issue is no longer simply efficiency. It is control, accountability and consistency at scale. This is where I'd strongly agree with Gartner, but I'd add something that is usually missing from the AI discussion: marketing debt. Most organisations already have fragmented brand guidelines, approval processes, DAMs, agency relationships, localisation workflows and market exceptions. Putting agents on top of that infrastructure does not remove the debt. It can make it run faster. The strategic question for global marketers is therefore not where can we use agents? It is what parts of our global marketing system are sufficiently well defined for an agent to operate safely? https://lnkd.in/gBv8yNC8

Im tired of endless, white background product grids... Dont get me wrong, theyre perfect if you know what you want. But around 83% of shoppers dont. So, how can a retailer make better landing pages for those 83%? Danish electronics retailer Elgiganten’s 30-year birthday sale landing page is a white grid with 25 total pages. And thats okay - if everyone landing there knows what theyre looking for. If not? It could be beneficial to create a curated, more inspiring landing page. Heres how in 2 minutes:

„More new partnerships to be announced soon." Also fleißig abstimmen👇 😊: https://lnkd.in/d5YHjwgE@

(not) hot take: everyone should be optimistic and fail forward I have learned the most when I have failed No one wants or likes to fail But hating losing and learning through failure is not the same as being pessimistic In fact, optimism and a glass half full mentality are the key to success It is what allows people to fail forward and learn from it In the comments, tell me what you use to fuel your optimism

What needs to change before you send more paid traffic to your Amazon listings? Naio from our team walks through it in this video. The short version: adding budget for Black Friday makes sense. But if the listing doesn’t convert, you’re paying for more clicks that go nowhere. Najlepszy audyt email marketingu w ecommerce?

Your CPC did not get worse because you stopped optimising. On one Czech coffee e-shop account, the average click went from 3.32 CZK in 2016 to 9.92 CZK in 2025. Three times the price. Same account, same category, ten years apart. That is the context missing from most "the account is underperforming" conversations. The auction repriced itself over a decade and nobody announced it. What held the account together through that was not a bidding trick. The client roasts their own coffee and owns an accessories brand. Those products earn far more per order than the brands they resell. So the feed stopped being one thing. Own brands got their own targets, resold brands kept theirs. An expensive click only becomes a problem when every product in the feed earns the same. The structure changed too. In 2016 that account ran Single Keyword Ad Groups, one keyword per ad group, because manual control was the only control available. The same structure today would starve automated bidding of the data it needs. Rule: when clicks triple in price over ten years, the fix is not a better bid strategy. It is knowing which products can afford the new price. Read more: https://lnkd.in/eUph9atW What does your CPC curve look like, if you have an account old enough to have one?

Congrats. If you crossed $1,000,000 then you're in the top 5% of businesses. So why does it feel like you're drowning? Because nobody warns you about the next part. Somewhere around $3M-$5M, most companies stall. It looks like this: → The tactics that got you here stop working → Ads cost more and return less → You throw money at the problem and nothing sticks → You hire experts and nobody owns the result → You're the firefighter, every day You're working harder than ever. The business isn't growing faster. I've watched this happen at an ecommerce brand, a law firm, a SaaS startup, and a B2B services company. Different industries. Same wall. The founders who break through don't find a better tactic. They stop asking "how do I work harder?" They start asking "what is the ONE constraint holding everything else back?" Sometimes it's the offer. Sometimes it's the website. Sometimes it's cash conversion cycle. It's almost never "we need more ad spend." Or,“Just work harder.” You're not failing. You've outgrown your playbook. I walk through the growth phases and how to find your constraint here: https://buff.ly/f51ebTf
