This autumn I’ve had the same conversation with CFOs and IT leaders in Billund, Copenhagen, Vilnius, Boston and Budapest. They all want agents in production next year. Different countries, different industries, yet the same handful of problems stops them from getting started with AI. On Friday 30 October I’m speaking at MITechCon at Oakland University, Michigan, about what I’ve learned from these conversations and the approach I use to give clients AI that creates real business value. The talk is called “The AI is ready, but you are the problem.” I’ll go through what AI readiness looks like in practice, how to close the gap between data and process, and the order I’d fix things in before putting a first agent into production. If you’re at MITechCon, I’m in Ballroom C East at 11:15 ET. Come and tell me where your own foundations feel shaky.

At the Forbes Corporate AI Summit last week I was asked how a company turns AI into a business result. My answer started further back than most people expect, because a good share of our workshops ends up settling which data may go into a cloud model. That is where the rollout sits, long before anyone picks a tool. Four decisions, written down, cover the ground that stalls these projects. Which data classes are allowed. Public, internal, customer, personal. Four categories, four answers. Which tools are approved, by name. Anything off the list is off. Where a human signs off. Customer-facing output, financial figures, anything legal. Which business number should move. One number, with an owner and a starting value. Three hours with the mid and senior leadership is usually enough to agree all four. We have seen that free up a project which had been stuck for months. Is this written down in your company, or does everyone fall back on their own judgement?

Channel 4 landing on Disney+ is a brilliant move, but it highlights a massive blind spot in modern media planning. The prevailing industry narrative says nobody watches traditional broadcasters anymore. Everyone is supposedly glued exclusively to subscription streaming platforms, and linear TV is treated like a museum piece. Then you look at actual BARB data. When BARB first began publishing unified viewing figures, the reality check was stark. Even mega hits on pure SVOD platforms struggle to crack the top tier of overall UK television viewing, with some of Netflix’s most talked about releases ranking outside the top 200 or 300 individual broadcasts against domestic TV output. The sheer, concurrent mass scale of British public service broadcasters remains unmatched. Streamers are fantastic for first party data, precise targeting, and picking up incremental reach around the edges. Nobody is disputing that. But right now, too many brands are paying inflated CPTs for fractional, fragmented audiences while barely scraping the surface of traditional broadcasters. Linear and BVOD still deliver the highest quality, most brand safe attention in media. More importantly, they deliver it at a fraction of the cost per thousand. When you sit on the client side of the table and measure campaigns by actual business outcomes rather than buzzwords, traditional broadcast environments consistently outperform pure streaming on cost efficiency, immediate web traffic lift, and sales volume. Brand media creates demand, digital performance captures it. Channel 4 expanding its distribution footprint onto Disney+ only proves what commercial practitioners already know: premium broadcast content is still king. If your agency has abandoned traditional TV to chase expensive streaming reach without testing the commercial efficiency of linear and BVOD, it might be time to look at the numbers again.

[DACH 🇩🇪🇦🇹🇨🇭 — jeden rynek?] Dzisiaj w drodze do Austrii naszła mnie myśl. W Polsce często mówimy o rynku DACH, jakby Niemcy, Austria i Szwajcaria były jednym większym rynkiem niemieckojęzycznym.

So happy to share this one! 😊 The Catalog Ad we made at Ingager for Dormy Golf got featured by Confect - Design your Catalog Ads ⛳ We saw 33% higher ROAS and 31% higher average order value compared to Dormy’s other Catalog Ads. 📈 My biggest takeaway: Catalog Ads are often treated as “set it and forget it”, while all the creative work goes into the other ads. But a small design choice, like placing the brand logo next to the price, can make a real difference across thousands of products at once. 💡 Big thanks to Folke Sundström for the great design work, and to Dormy for trusting us! 🙌 Check out Confect’s full breakdown here: https://lnkd.in/diFMCB-6

There's a huge opportunity buried in most Meta ads accounts. Catalogue ads account for 25% of Meta ads spend yet only a fraction of advertisers are thinking about optimising their Dynamic Product Ads (DPA). Most DPAs look uninspiring using Meta's standard ad format. The branding and positioning impact is minimal from these ads. For years I thought that it was kind of crazy that Meta didn't let you optimise this format and upload your own designs. So what if you could increase ROAS, brand perception and conversion rate at the same time? This is exactly what we saw when we customised the DPAs for our client côte&ciel using software from our partner Confect - Design your Catalog Ads. We rolled out a lifestyle format paired with a product image, product name and the pricing. Result: 44% increase in ROAS versus standard DPAs, 40% increase in conversion rate. We actually saw a drop in CTR but only because we pre-qualified the audience through showing the premium pricing. Full case study in the comments. Credit for the brief Elena Kamshitskaia.

Theres a perception that AI isnt delivering. Though BCGs new research says the picture is more nuanced, and the sharpest part of that nuance is agentic AI. BCGs Applied AI Index 2026 surveyed 1,330 CxOs and senior leaders and found that nearly half of companies are already creating real value from AI, while many are still struggling to turn investment into impact. Agentic AI is where that gap is widening fastest, and leaders there see a 6x higher impact than laggards The companies pulling ahead run AI as one funded, company-wide program instead of a string of disconnected pilots; they build governance into agentic AI from day one with clear scope, oversight, and rollback mechanisms for every agent in production; and they concentrate their effort on a handful of workflows worth scaling, rather than spreading themselves across everything at once. See where your organization stands. Read the full Applied AI Index 2026: https://lnkd.in/edvsWyHd

If your engineering team is growing but output isn’t increasing with it, adding more people may not be the answer. Instead, it’s about accomplishing more with the resources you have – ideally by using those people more effectively. That usually means breaking large pieces of work into smaller ones, making sure everyone understands their role and reducing the amount of effort spent working out who should be doing what as the project moves forward. AI can help here too. Repetitive work that consumes time but doesn’t need much creativity can increasingly be handled by AI, leaving people with more capacity for the work that actually needs their judgement. What tends not to work is simply adding more people. 👥 If roles are unclear and the underlying work isn’t properly structured, more developers can mean more overlap, more communication and more confusion. Scaling effectively isn’t about throwing additional bodies at a problem. It’s about creating a system where the people you already have can contribute more effectively – and knowing exactly where additional capacity will genuinely help.

AI is having a seismic impact on how states interact with each other. As the frontier AI labs of the U.S. and China drive innovation forward, dominate compute capabilities, and seek to control critical supply chains, smaller states are facing new challenges to their own sovereignty. What geopolitical pathways exist for states to access the potential benefits of AI, while still maintaining their independence? To explore this, I've partnered with Professor Arun Sundararajan, NYU Stern School of Business to launch a new series of conversations unpacking the moral, technological and political questions surrounding the issue of AI and State Sovereignty. 🏢 Celé patro v centru Prahy a při zahájení nájmu od 1.2.2027 uhradíme fit-out my.

AI in food supply chains pays off where it gives people visibility, not where it tries to replace them. The useful wins are quiet ones: the anomaly flagged before it becomes a recall, the supplier trend spotted before the next audit. None of it works on messy data, though. Clean, connected supplier and quality data has to come first. Before asking what AI can do for your team, it's worth asking whether the data underneath it is ready. As a baseball player, my job was to perform. As a coach, my job was to help others perform. When I made the switch from playing professional baseball to coaching, it was hard to stand back and watch my players on the field. I was used to making the plays myself. But if we were going to succeed, I had to give them true ownership of the work. The same holds true in business. That’s why I put together a brief guide for Forbes sharing seven lessons I’ve learned about building ownership throughout my own leadership journey. Just like a coach in the dugout, a senior leader’s job is to recognize when and where someone else needs to take ownership. Identifying that opportunity is one thing. Putting ownership in the right hands, then being comfortable stepping back and watching it grow, is an entirely different ball game. I’m still working to improve at the art of building ownership myself, so I understand the challenge. I hope these tips help you create greater ownership within your own team and empower your people to push toward even greater success: https://lnkd.in/eFPtUV4Q
