Repeat after me: Return on Adspend is not linear! [+ our Q4 campaign update] The problem with LinkedIn ad campaigns is that they often don't "feel" like they are working and the success metrics are lagging very, very far behind the spend. But this is by design. You can't expect results from your campaign before you've reached enough accounts enough times to build awareness 🤡 Deal open rate (on average, very recent data from 118 accounts) still hovers below 1% (0.66% to be precise) so you need to reach A LOT of accounts before you see pipeline. And by *reach* we mean 10-15 meaningful impressions *per member* in the account - so if you're targeting 10 people in the account - you need to deliver a 100-150 impressions per account! And then - you do need to expect that pipeline will lag weeks or months behind the campaign end. So when I said I'm planning to open $105k in pipeline from a 13 week campaign - I didn't mean open it in 13 weeks. Otherwise the companies with impressions at the tail-end of the campaign would get no time to enter the sales funnel at all. So you need to plan to hit your KPIs on an end-skewed curve, not a linear scale. Look - I know this sucks. I'm used to spending 10 to 20x more on LinkedIn ads than I am now, where the impact on leading was a lot more 'visible' (an expectedly higher volume of demo bookings). I feel I still haven't quite rebooted my expectations of the campaigns I'm running 😅 It is *scary* to be front-loading budget and not seeing an immediate return on it - but that's why, when planning campaigns - you need to a) track leading metrics b) manage expectations that the return on adspend is not linear. So here is our own Q4 campaign at week 5 of 13, scored both ways (P.S: Use ZenABM's FREE trial for 37 days get this level of visibility into your accounts & plan your ABM strategy for 2027: https://lnkd.in/dp-Ym6Wj) DELIVERY 🔴 Spend: 44% of budget, 38% expected. 🟢 Impressions (feed, the ones that count toward the 18): 41% of goal, 38% expected. 🟢 TLA impressions (8 of the 18): 61% of goal, 38% expected. 🔴 Document impressions (10 of the 18): 6% of goal, 38% expected & over its CPM ceiling ($32.59 vs $26). 🟢 Dose per reached account: 9.6 of 18, 6.9 expected. 🔴 Companies reached: 15,649 of 20,413. I wanted to post about how we run $5000 ABM strategy on LinkedIn ads with cheap ad formats today, but I went into such a rabbit hole with the numbers (thanks to ZenABM MCP server! 🫠) that I’m going to post about running something else after all 😅 Well, move over Astronomer - here’s me & my boss on the Big Half today! I've heard that married couples have it harder than strangers to raise funding. I find it uncanny that investors would rather bet on two 20-something strangers that met in a collage dorm over a couple that has decided to literally merge their financial lives (hence: less likely to fight over equity, imho), have and have weathered some of life's worst hardships together. If people have survived illness, unemployment, parents' death, miscarriages, bringing up children - I'm sure they will also survive choosing the colour of the signup button. But there is this prejudice that the intensity of running a business and a household together makes couples more likely to split up (which explains why almost everyone I told I’m planning to join my husband’s startup would immediately ask “aren’t you worried about that?” - implying “aren’t you worried it will ruin your relationship, not to mention the business?”). While there’s little literature on couples working together - literally no study has found them more likely to split up than the ones that don’t. And when you think about it - why would they? Spending 5 minutes on Linkedin is enough to realise how incredibly important work is to us - as a source of purpose, meaning in life, identity, self-worth and belonging. Perhaps even more than family or religion. Why would having a shared sense of purpose, meaning, and identity pose a threat to a couple that got together precisely to share their entire lives? For the past 7 years, we’ve been running many things together. From business projects, through households, rental apartments (and now also races because I’m getting just getting slower with age 😅 ) - and ZenABM is just another shared goal we have together (try it free here btw. https://lnkd.in/dp-Ym6Wj) And I’m grateful for the other “couples in business” I’m following on LinkedIn that are openly sharing about their “working relationship” - and helping break that stereotype. In no particular order: Alina Vandenberghe 🌶️ & Nicolas Vandenberghe from Chili Piper Iuliia Shnai & Marc Seitz from Papermark Maja Voje & Anze Voje from Go-To-Market Strategist Kinga Edwards & Andrew Edwards from Brainy Bees Paulina Walkowiak & Kamil Walkowiak from cux.io (Whom else should I follow btw??) Keep it up! P.S. Maybe lapping your boss in your first week is not such a good idea 😅 P.P.S: 1:49

Federal lawmakers have said AI regulation is a priority. For government affairs teams, the planning challenge goes beyond tracking AI policy. It is understanding how debates over data centers, AI safety, deepfakes, tax, and trade interact with your priorities, and who could take action. Europe has spent years discussing how to secure its critical raw materials supply chain. Now, the focus is increasingly shifting from strategy to execution. With the Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA) supporting strategic projects across Europe, new investments in lithium, nickel and other critical minerals are progressing. In discussions with mining and battery materials projects, one observation comes up repeatedly: significant attention is naturally given to process design and major equipment selection, while flow control equipment such as valves and valve automation systems can receive less attention during the early project stages. However, flow control equipment, including valves and valve automation systems, often operates under demanding conditions throughout mineral processing and metals refining. Decisions made during the design phase can therefore have a significant impact on plant reliability, maintainability and lifecycle costs. In my view, lifecycle performance should be part of the discussion much earlier. As projects move from studies toward execution, it is not only the major process equipment that matters. Long-term plant performance is also shaped by countless component-level decisions made during the engineering phase. As Europe moves from critical raw materials strategies to project execution, bringing lifecycle thinking into early engineering decisions will be increasingly important. This also applies to flow control equipment, where early decisions can have a lasting impact on plant performance. How early do you believe lifecycle performance should be considered when selecting equipment for new battery metals projects? #BatteryMetals #CriticalRawMaterials #ValmetFlowControl

Bus operators need fare equipment that can stay useful as vehicles and services evolve. That means looking beyond the initial purchase: vibration resistance, serviceable components and integration with onboard systems all shape the long-term value. Standards such as ITxPT provide a common framework for connecting devices. A shared driver interface also helps keep the cab manageable. Arrive’s Nexio console brings multiple onboard applications onto one display. The aim is practical: equipment that is easier to support and a working environment that asks less of the driver.

Agents shouldn't have to live in the same environment to work together. Sooner than many think, a normal AI team will have some agents hosted and some running locally next to your code, each with access to the tools and data it actually needs, and nothing more. The hard part is that those two worlds don't usually meet. The agent that needs your repo has to run somewhere safe. The agents that plan and research still need to reach it, hand it work, and see what it did. To solve this problem, we built the BAND Python Kit for Docker Sandboxes with the Docker, Inc team. A coding agent runs inside an isolated microVM with its own kernel, filesystem, and network. It opens an outbound connection to BAND and shows up in the room like any other participant. The planner @ mentions it, it makes the change, and runs the tests against your workspace; then it @ mentions a reviewer with the result. Every tool execution event stays visible in the room. Only the agent that needs the repo ever touches the repo. Docker built the place where agents can run safely. We built the layer that lets them work together from wherever they run. Thank you to the Docker team for building this with us!

Tims Cookies vokser over 50 % i år.

Understanding bird collision risk at offshore wind farms is within reach I´m excited to share the results of a year-long study at our Hollandse Kust Zuid offshore wind farm, trialing a new technology solution for monitoring collisions offshore. 📹 In this study, sixteen thermal cameras were installed on one turbine, twelve cameras monitoring the airspace below the rotor for falling objects and four cameras monitoring activity in the rotor swept area operating 24 hours a day. 📊 Wildlife Imaging Systems having developed the solution building on previous experience in the US, extracted and categorized tracks from the video images using computer vision and machine learning. Researchers from Wageningen University & Research scrutinised the data and assessed the overall performance of the technology. The results show the technology works very well under offshore conditions and is able to document bird collisions day and night and across a wide set of weather conditions. Why is this important? Every year, millions of passerines cross the North Sea during their spring and autumn migrations leading to concerns about collisions with offshore wind farms. Until now, estimates of offshore bird collisions have by and large been guesswork, and with this study, we are showing a way to move from assumptions to evidence-based insights. The better we understand when and under what circumstances collisions happen, the more realistic assessments we can make for future wind farms and the better mitigation measures we can adopt, securing a nature-inclusive expansion of offshore wind. 🌍 This research is part of Vattenfalls voluntary and long-running environmental R&D programme aiming to improve the evidence base on the impacts of wind farms and how these might be most efficiently mitigated. ▶️ Watch the short video below to learn more about the study and don't hesitate to reach out. A sandboxed agent can do excellent work in a box nobody else can talk to. Docker Sandboxes builds the box, and builds it well. Each agent gets its own microVM, with its own kernel, filesystem, Docker daemon, and network. You can hand it your repository without handing it your machine. This week Docker, Inc and Oleg Šelajev published a walkthrough of how that agent gets someone to talk to: the official BAND kit for Docker Sandboxes. The agent opens an outbound connection to BAND and joins a room, where people and other agents can mention it, hand it work, and watch its tool calls as they happen. Nothing reaches into the sandbox. The real API keys stay on the host, and the agent only ever sees placeholders. This means that a hosted planner and a hosted research agent can share a room with the agent fixing tests on your laptop. Only the one that needs the local workspace sits in the sandbox, and the people in the room see all of it. Isolation decides where an agent is allowed to work. Collaboration decides who it works with. Thank you Oleg and the Docker team for the walkthrough: https://lnkd.in/dPundA5C

Man kunne selvfølgelig foreslå, at virksomheden bare kræver hurtigere betaling. Men det her bliver cirkuspenge. I TEKNIQ vil vi have længere momsfrister.

How many customers does your company have? It sounds easy. But ask marketing, sales, finance and operations separately, and you might get very different answers. Each one is defensible, because each department is counting something slightly different. That becomes a big problem when AI enters the picture. People know that a certain CRM field is outdated, that “site” means something different to finance than it does to operations, or that the reliable customer information actually lives somewhere else. AI doesn’t automatically know any of this. It works with the context and data we give it. That was the thread of my talk yesterday at CRM Szaknap in Budapest. While everyone uses AI on their own, it’s single-player mode and private context is enough. Once it becomes an organisational tool, it turns into a board game, and everyone at the table needs the same rules. For customer data, that rulebook is the CRM. Thank you to BusinessEvents for having us again, and to everyone who stayed for the conversations afterwards.
