The benefits of a clear hero. While many pack assets can be the sum of their parts when it comes to distinctiveness, some have the benefits of a clear hero. Mr Clean is one such brand, with a real hero in the character. He alone accounts for 70% of packaging distinctiveness! Having such a hero on-pack allows great flexibility. The brand can launch new extensions more easily or even shift away from its core blue colour when introducing new scents, without losing distinctiveness. Once Mr Clean is front and centre, that is pretty much enough. Equally important, it allows the brand to tweak individual SKUs to improve on-shelf category navigation. Character assets are some of the best at this; the likes of M&M’s and The Laughing Cow can attest to this. But there are also other ways in, whether that is through icons/elements (Heinz, Hendrick’s), pattern/structure (Crosta Mollica), a disruptive feature (Angostura Bitters, Maker's Mark) or shape (Toblerone, Kikkoman) Read more at the link 👇

Your customers have never all looked the same. So why does the ideal customer in your head look like one person? When owners describe who they want to reach, the same variables come up every time: age, gender, location, job title. Job title in particular. I see a fixation on it. The problem is that job titles are made up. Two people with the same title do completely different work. Two people doing the same work carry different titles. What someone does online says more. The sites they spend time on. The searches they run. The way they carry themselves in their role. We have close to infinite data to target with now. Targeting by who someone is throws most of it away. Targeting by what they do uses it. If your marketing still starts with a job title, there is a sharper way to go about it.

The competitor beating you on most deals is not a company. It is the status quo. Doing nothing. Staying the course. Doing what we have always done, because it feels safe. Psychologists have shown people perceive the risk of changing as far greater than the risk of staying put. So when a prospect goes quiet, they usually have not chosen a rival. They have chosen to change nothing. Yet as business owners we convince ourselves the true competition is the other firms pitching for the same work. That is rarely what decides the deal. The question worth spending time on: how does your offer beat doing nothing? Position against inertia, not against competitors. When you focus on who you are truly competing against, more of the deals that get down to the line land your way.

A card showed up at our office last week. Nothing we've done this quarter matters more. Six months ago, our COO, Steven Marder, joined the team. It was his first full-time role since losing his 12-year-old son, Brandon, to brain cancer. We knew as a team that we wanted a lasting way to honor Brandon. Not a one-time donation, but something woven into the everyday work. The answer came during our sales conversations. Clients kept asking how we handle our street interview waivers and whether we pay people to sign them. The standard playbook says to hand out a $5 Starbucks or Amex gift card. But we looked at each other and thought why feed another massive corporation? Why not take those exact same funds and put a real purpose behind them? That’s how The BranD Initiative was born, named for Brandon, and at the same time created a simple, replicable formula for doing and being good in the world that we could later bring to our brand clients. Now for every media waiver signed on the street, StreetTalk automatically donates $2 to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Last week we got a note from the Foundation thanking us for our first 2 months of contributions. $2,000 in month one. We're just getting started. As we grow, we want to give the brands we work with the option to leverage our giving “Y for every X” formula, and help scale the impact and permanence. If we'd waited until we were "big enough" to think about giving back, this never would have happened. You don't need to be big to do your part. Thank you, Brandon. If you would like to directly donate, please use the link below. and if you would like to participate in magnifying this incredible initiative, please reach out here: [email protected] https://lnkd.in/gb653-fz

People asked how StreetTalk, which launched 8 months ago, secured a 5-minute segment on The TODAY Show last week. The story of how it went down is not what you’d expect: 1: I began to mentor a new colleague at a former company 10 years ago. 2: He opened his own agency 3 years later. We remained in touch. Always took his calls, with pleasure. 3: In November 2025, I joined Josh Suggs ( Street interview Ads ) and Luke Thorburg, MBA's 203 Media as CEO, immediately led a rebrand to StreetTalk and changed our model with a vision of leading the Authenticity Age of Advertising. I shared the update with my network. 4: Mentee of the past, now accomplished agency owner begins firing off referrals to me from his client base, without being asked or incentivized. 5: One introduction was to Jill Martin's team. They were interested in leveraging StreetTalk to promote their licensed New York sports team apparel. We were starting to build The StreetTalk Show and wanted to have Jill as a guest. We invited her on the show, and offered a complimentary package of Street Interview ads. 6: Turns out, Jill is a guest correspondent on The TODAY Show. She went back to the studio, and encouraged her colleagues to check us out. 7: We received an inbound inquiry from a Producer, scheduled a call, and answered her questions. A few weeks later, we were shooting The TODAY Show. There was no PR involved. No Claude Skill. No shortcuts. Some may refer to my approach as “the long game”, but that insinuates I was angling for a winning outcome. The reality is I was simply being considerate, and happened to benefit from the laws outlined in the book The Go Giver by Bob Burg and John David Mann. Give without the expectation of reciprocity. Patience is a competitive advantage most people can’t tolerate.

LinkedIn has become one of the most important channels in B2B. Most people know that by now. But far from everyone is actually showing up. A big part of it is just time. It takes time to think, to write, to stay consistent. And when you’re running a company or leading a team, that’s usually the first thing that gets pushed. You know you should do it, but it's far down your list of priorities. At the same time, the effect is real. When you show up over time, people start to recognize you. They’ve seen your name before, maybe read something you wrote, maybe just noticed you a few times in their feed. So when you reach out, you’re not starting from zero anymore. There’s already some level of context. But it’s not just about outreach. It’s also about being there when it matters. When someone is starting to think about a problem you solve, or considering different options, you already exist in their mind. Not because you pushed for it, but because you’ve been showing up consistently. That builds trust. And over time, it creates a sense of expertise that makes it easier for someone to choose to work with you. That’s really what we’ve built with Authority Builder and Precision Connect. We help you show up consistently with content that is actually relevant for you and your audience, while at the same time expanding your network with the people you want to reach. It happens in parallel, which is what makes it work. Your visibility grows, and your network grows with it. So when you reach out, it doesn’t feel cold. And when someone is considering a solution like yours, you’re already in the back of their mind. And that changes the conversation. Happy to walk you through how this works in practice. Algoritmus a sledující: Nezajímavé, chceme meme s pejskem. Chcete dostat post k co nejvíce lidem do DMs? £228,000 invoiced and received from LinkedIn inbound, by a recruitment founder who still works entirely on her own. 10 days ago I received an email from a client we started working with 12 months ago, Magdalena Kinging, founder of Mekion Consulting. She is exclusively retained in the SaaS community, and when she started working with us she had 10,000 LinkedIn connections and almost nothing coming from any of them. She was already brilliant at the job, but like most founders, the people who should have been hearing from her weren't. A year of consistent effort has led to 60% of her business now coming inbound from LinkedIn (the other 40% is existing clients and referrals), from Series A SaaS founders in the UK, San Francisco and New York. But the bit I love the most isn't the number, it's what has changed before she even gets in the room. In her words, "my new client conversations now start with founders already knowing who I am." That's the business most boutique agency founders I speak to actually want, known by name in their niche, with clients coming to them, and still the one in front of every client. It's a fundamentally better way to work for most of us who experience it. She didn't hire anyone to get there and she didn't send more messages, we just focused on getting her in front of the people who already knew her and then grew the right network around them. If you are reviewing your diary for the week this morning, have a look at how many of your upcoming client meetings are with someone who already knew your name before you reached out.. PS. Well done Magdalena King - I am so proud of you!

I’m 135 ads away from my 5,000th launch on AdManage.ai, so here’s what a year of using it has actually been like. Before, launching ads was mostly admin. Same video uploaded three times for three placements, copy-pasted across twenty ads, a nervous check that it all landed in the right ad account. Now I build in batches, both placements at once, creative pulled straight from Drive, ad sets duplicated instead of rebuilt. Launching is the quick part of my day. Last 30 days: 690 ads, which puts me in the top 4% of 10,000+ users. Things break sometimes. When they do, I post in a shared Slack channel, and a fix usually lands within days. That counts for more than any feature. Shoutout to the AdManage.ai team. See you at 5,000.

If I could send one message to myself a year ago, it would be simple. Start using AdManage.ai I heard the name everywhere. Media buyer communities. LinkedIn. Conversations with peers. I still delayed it. Today at Hume Health, I manage 10 ad accounts across 5 Meta, 1 TikTok, 1 Google, 1 Snap, 1 Twitter and 1 AppLovin. There is no way I would go back to managing this manually. Everything now runs through one platform: Bulk ad launching across every channel at once Automation rules monitoring budgets and performance 24/7 Every comment from every platform in one place Unified analytics across all 10 accounts AdScan for competitor ad intelligence A native MCP server that has completely changed how I work with Claude The proprietary AdManage MCP has been a game changer. I can literally give Claude an ad links and have it ready to launch across all platforms through AdManage within seconds. That kind of workflow completely changes what one media buyer can get done. Over 7+ years and $80Mn+ in managed spend, I have learned what strong ad operations look like. This is it. My takeaway is simple. When every serious media buyer you know recommends the same tool, stop waiting and try it.

When the cost of production collapses, demand grows. But what happens when the cost of distribution collapses? At babylovegrowth.ai, we’re reducing the cost of SEO distribution from $2,000/month with an agency to just $99/month. Lower production costs make new products and markets viable. Lower distribution costs make it profitable to reach customers who were previously too expensive to acquire. Both unlock new demand. The supply of digital products can grow exponentially. Human attention cannot. As valuable products become easier to create, more businesses will compete for the same finite attention.

Most B2B companies are scared to invest in marketing. They're traditionally very relationships and sales driven. So they build big sales teams and tiny marketing teams, then wonder why marketing isn't building pipeline. Then they judge marketing on the same short-term KPIs as sales. Quarterly lead targets. That pushes the team into short-term tactics, while the biggest thing marketing can do takes longer and is harder to measure: building a brand buyers trust. On top of that, everyone scrutinizes the work. Because everyone has an opinion on marketing, right? I've seen CFOs, CEOs and salespeople all give their opinion. "I don't love this color." "Shouldn't we be on TikTok?" The result is a watered-down consensus. not very effective. So if you want marketing to work in a sales-driven business: → Invest in marketing the way you invest in sales. → Hire the best marketers (or agency) you can → Judge marketing on a longer timeline than sales → Let the experts do their work

Most campaigns send shoppers to a category page. I tried something different. LinkedIn is full of bold claims and thought leadership. And if we’re being honest, most of it is there to sell something. I’m no different. I run marketing at iPaper, and yes, I’d like you to look at our product. But instead of spinning stories, I’d rather just show you. EventyrSport turned 30 and celebrated with 30 products at up to 50% off. I turned that campaign into a digital catalog in iPaper Horizon, one that tells a story and guides shoppers instead of only pushing offers. The goal is to build buying intent instead of just catching it. Here’s what we’ve seen with our customers: - More time spent on site - Lower bounce rates in paid campaigns - Bigger baskets, because people see more products Turns out I had some bold claims after all. 😎

Hier die von Google bestätigten Ergebnisse: +298% Umsatzwert (YoY, 2024/2025) +20% höherer Return on Ad Spend -8,1% Cost per Action Florian, Co-Founder von bedrop, fasst es so zusammen: „Demand Gen has taken our multichannel performance strategy to a whole new level. We've learned that when you provide the right signals, Google rewards you."

In 30 days, we sold out our entire stock for my brand, Neat, after doing a proper launch. And after studying 100+ of the biggest product launches out there, I found that almost every one that flopped made the same mistake… They showed people the product for the very first time on the day they could buy it. Meanwhile, Harry's collected 100,000+ email signups in a single week before their razors ever went on sale, and 77% of them came from people referring their friends. With a drop, your product just randomly shows up on your store one day, so you only make sales slowly over the next few weeks. But with a proper launch, people already know it's coming, and you can do a whole month of revenue before the first week is even over. So I put together a video breaking down the 4 strategies behind every great launch I studied that sold out, so you can do the same with your next product. Here's what's inside: 1/ How Robinhood got 1 million signups before anyone could even trade on the app 2/ The 3 offers I tested at the same time for my own launch, and the one that won 3/ How to get people buying on launch day even if you don't have an email list yet 4/ What took Neat's conversion rate from 0.6% to 3.8% after launch day Full youtube video link in the comments
