Tekoälytoteutukset ovat yhtä hyviä tai huonoja kuin niiden käytössä oleva data. Lisäksi tekoäly tarvitsee ymmärrystä mitä data tarkoittaa. Esimerkiksi tekoäly voi antaa luotettavalta kuulostavan vastauksen ja silti johtaa liiketoimintaa harhaan. Jos ”aktiivinen asiakas” tarkoittaa yhdessä järjestelmässä viimeisen 12 kuukauden aikana ostanutta ja toisessa voimassa olevan sopimuksen omaavaa asiakasta, kumpaa määritelmää tekoälyn pitäisi käyttää? Tämä on yksi tekoälyn skaalaamisen keskeisistä haasteista: pelkkä pääsy dataan ei riitä. Tekoälyn pitää myös ymmärtää, mitä data liiketoiminnan kontekstissa tarkoittaa. Microsoftin Fabric IQ rakentaa tähän yhteistä perustaa. Sen tavoitteena on tuoda organisaation käsitteet, suhteet ja määrittelyt yhteiseen semanttiseen kerrokseen, jota niin raportointi, analytiikka kuin tekoälyagentit voivat hyödyntää. Hyöty ei ole vain yhdenmukaisemmissa vastauksissa. Kun liiketoiminnan kieli on määritelty kerran, myös uusien AI-ratkaisujen rakentaminen ja skaalaaminen helpottuu. Mutta teknologia ei tee kaikkea puolestamme. Yhtä tärkeä kysymys kuuluu: kuka yrityksessä omistaa määritelmän sille, mitä ”asiakas”, ”kate” tai ”liikevaihto” tarkoittaa? VMware, 90% wollen weg? Ende Oktober 2027 endet der allgemeine Support für vSphere 8, für das es noch Dauerlizenzen gab. Weiter geht's nur im Abo. Wer auf vSphere 9 umsteigen will, muss entweder VMware vSphere Foundation oder den umfassenden Private-Cloud-Stack VMware Cloud Foundation abonnieren. Eine Umfrage unter VMware-Kunden zeigt: 90 Prozent der befragten IT-Entscheider prüfen, VMware und Broadcom wegen zu hoher Lizenzkosten den Rücken zu kehren. heise online schreibt dazu: "Mit 48 Prozent plant fast die Hälfte der befragten Nutzer von VMware-Dauerlizenzen derzeit nicht, ihre VMware-Ressourcen auf ein solches Abo umzustellen." Die Alternative: hybrid? 60 Prozent der Befragten erwägen, VMware-ESXi-Hypervisoren mit anderen Virtualisierern zu kombinieren. Die Kosten stehen im Fokus. Der Schwerpunkt bei der künftigen Virtualisierungsstrategie ist eindeutig: 73 Prozent der Befragten nannten die Minimierung der Kosten. Geringere Kosten und geringere Abhängigkeit Hier bieten sich Open-Source-basierte Alternativen als Lösung an. So reduziert man nicht nur die Abhängigkeit von einem Anbieter, sondern kann auch im KVM-Ökosystem nach passenden Lösungen suchen und auch einfacher wechseln. AI har snabbt blivit en självklar del av systemmodernisering. Men bara för att en leverantör använder AI betyder det inte att resultatet blir bättre. Alla systemleverantörer använder ju AI idag, vi också, så det säger inte så mycket i sig. Det som faktiskt spelar roll är allt som finns runt omkring. AI har gjort det enklare att skriva kod, men inte enklare att skriva rätt kod. Och i ett moderniseringsprojekt är det just det som avgör om det nya systemet blir värt pengarna, eller om det bara blir nästa legacy. I praktiken handlar det om sånt som kanske låter lite tråkigt, men som avgör väldigt mycket. Hur man analyserar den gamla koden. Hur utvecklare granskar det AI:n skriver innan det går till produktion. Hur man stämmer av affärslogiken med verksamheten innan något byggs om. Och hur AI blir en del av teamet i stället för något som körs vid sidan av. För myndigheter, kommuner och regioner handlar det också om hur känslig data skyddas när AI används. Det finns alltså inga genvägar här. Så när ni ska välja leverantör, fråga inte bara om de använder AI. Fråga hur. Fråga vem som granskar det AI:n gör och vad som händer när den har fel. Och fråga hur de säkerställer spårbarhet, alltså att det går att följa vad som har gjorts, varför och av vem. Står ni inför en upphandling är det just de frågorna som hör hemma i underlaget. My daughter is currently looking for a princess in an unfinished castle. We are at Neuschwanstein. From the outside it looks complete. Inside, stairs stop and rooms were never built. She still expects the princess behind the next door. I did not have the heart to tell her the princess is probably still waiting for the architect. I see the same pattern with AI. A system is announced, demoed, and shown to the board. The facade is impressive. The connections that would let people actually use it are still missing. Context lives in people’s heads. Ownership is unclear. The model answers anyway, with the confidence of someone who has never seen the missing stair. The clear move is to name the gaps before the model is allowed to speak. What was never built, who owns it, and where a person still has to step in. Otherwise the explanation only arrives after someone has already trusted the answer, which is an expensive way to discover that the tower was a sketch.

On 1st October 2026, DevOn will officially become emagine. For me, this is an important moment in a journey I am genuinely proud of. I started here at DevOn as a tech architect in 2011, moved into delivery/account leadership, and eventually took responsibility for growing technology businesses across Europe and India. One thing we consistently challenged along the way was how software was built, as well as the traditional outsourcing model that treated software engineering primarily as a cost-optimisation or volume game. We wanted to build something different. High-quality, business-value-focused teams combining deep technology expertise, European culture and proximity with the scale, flexibility and talent of India. I believe that combination is increasingly what businesses need today. For me, that is DevOn: great people, entrepreneurial spirit, technical excellence, continuous learning & above all, the culture & ambition to make things happen. And personally, the journey has taught me something equally important: stay committed, keep going when things get difficult, be open and transparent, and never give up on what you believe is worth building. Not every step has been easy, but the willingness to keep learning, keep improving and keep moving forward has made all the difference. And as we become emagine, that DNA comes with us. The ownership, energy, curiosity and willingness to challenge the status quo. The engineering mindset. The passion for technology, AI and innovation. What lies ahead? A much bigger playground. It is a place where I have had the opportunity to learn, grow and work closely with colleagues, friends and customers. What has always made DevOn special to me is the freedom and encouragement to explore new ideas, experiment with new technologies and turn those ideas into something meaningful. Not just for ourselves, but for the wider community and, most importantly, for our customers. That culture has always pushed me to stay curious, keep learning and look for new ways to create impact through technology. As we become emagine, I believe that is something important to carry forward is continued investing in learnings, staying close to emerging technologies and industry trends, and translating that knowledge into solutions that create real value for customers. At the same time, becoming part of emagine opens up many new possibilities. With a broader international customer base and a wider range of capabilities, I see a strong opportunity to create even more value from Bangalore, India. There is an incredible pool of talent here, and I strongly believe in what this ecosystem can offer. Souveränität mit NixOS. Die Niederlande bauen souveränen Behördendesktop. heise online berichtet: In acht Kommunen wird der neue Desktop bereits getestet. DAWO die Behördenarbeitsumgebung als modularer Baukasten Der auf Basis von austauschbaren Modulen konzipierte "Digitaal Autonome Werkomgeving Overheid" (kurz DAWO) bildet eine vollständige Behördenarbeitsumgebung ab. Vom Betriebssystem über Cloudinfrastruktur, Kommunikation, KI und kollaboratives Arbeiten. NixOS aus den Niederlanden als Betriebssystem "Beim Client-Betriebssystem experimentierte das Projekt zunächst mit openSUSE und Fedora, bevor es sich für NixOS entschied. Den Code veröffentlicht es über eine Forgejo-Instanz des Ministeriums und über Codeberg." MijnBureau mit bekannten Komponenten. MijnBureau die selbst betriebene Arbeitsplatz-Suite, enthält die von OpenDESK (ZenDIS) und La Suite (Frankreich) bekannten Komponenten u.a. Nextcloud für Dateien, Collabora für Office-Funktionen, Element für Kommunikation und OpenProject für Projektmanagement. US-Sanktionen gaben den Ausschlag. "Microsoft kappte das E-Mail-Konto des damaligen Chefanklägers Karim Khan. Das zeigte, dass der Zugang zu zentralen digitalen Werkzeugen von politischen Entscheidungen der US-Regierung abhängen kann. Dieses Risiko will die niederländische Regierung offenbar nicht länger eingehen." NixOS ein OS mit besonderem Konzept Für NixOS sprach nicht nur der Sitz der Foundation in den Niederlanden, sondern auch die Unabhängigkeit von kommerziellen Anbietern und die deklarative Konfiguration für reproduzierbare Deployments über eine große Anzahl an Arbeitsplätzen hinweg. So kann digitale Souveränität mit Open Source funktionieren. Die Niederlande zeigt wie man von bestehenden offenen Lösungen und dem Know-how profitieren kann und selbst mit NixOS für den Desktop den europäischen Baukasten für digitale Souveränität um einen wichtigen Baustein erweitern. Die größte Falle in S/4HANA-Projekten? Der Glaube, dass alles rein gehört. Wenn man versucht, jedes kleine Problem in SAP zu lösen, wird das Projekt oft zum Endlos-Marathon. Am Ende ist das System voll, teuer und anfällig. Mit Clean Core funktioniert es anders. Ein guter Systemarchitekt weiß ganz genau, wann etwas NICHT in SAP gehört. Manche Dinge laufen elegant außerhalb von SAP: Echtzeit-Lokalisierung, Kanban-Automation, IoT-Sensoren zur Produktion. Das funktioniert schneller, günstiger und einfacher extern. Ein Beispiel aus einem echten Projekt: Wir haben einen Kanban-Button. Wenn die Kiste mit Teilen leer ist, drückt man den Knopf und das System meldet an SAP, SAP bucht um. Die Box wird nachgefüllt. Bis die zweite leer ist, ist die erste wieder da. Hätte man das in SAP machen können? Technisch ja. Dann sitzt man aber Wochen am Konzept, programmiert Custom-Code und darf sich später über Upgrades und Wartung ärgern. Mit einem fertigen System außerhalb von SAP? Ungefähr zwei Wochen und man weiß genau, wo jedes Teil rumliegt. Nicht alles in SAP zu packen bedeutet: Man spart Zeit. Man spart Geld. Man vermeidet technische Schulden. Aber man muss rechtzeitig die Entscheidung treffen: „Das machen wir nicht in SAP, sondern das läuft nebenher. Wie entscheidet ihr? Was gehört für euch in SAP und was bewusst nicht? Agencies expect full ownership from the freelancer, but end up getting only 35% of the work And the problem is not the freelancer – it’s the nature of the project. 1 person is not enough to cover the job of at least 4 people: - QA, - PM, - Designer, - Developer The chart below shows that ideally agencies should cover 3 of 20 things and rely on an outsourcing partner for the remaining 17 Most freelancers really cover just 6 of those 17 – that’s 35% of what agencies expect Of course, good freelancers will cover a bit more, but it’s still about 50% You’ll need more than 1 freelancer to cover everything, and it’s better to think about this before the project starts For most agencies the choice is: a. Do more work themselves (design, PM, QA) b. Hire more freelancers (designer, QA, PM) c. Get a white-label partner Otherwise you'll joing the "Unhappy with outsourcing club" Which one is your agency – a, b or c?

Kolik času ve firmách pořád padne na práci, kterou možná už nemusí dělat člověk? Hledání informací, práce s daty, příprava podkladů nebo běžné úkoly v systému. Jednotlivě pár minut sem, pár minut tam. Ve větší firmě už ale stojí za to začít počítat. A právě tohle je pro mě zajímavější debata kolem AI než další seznam funkcí, které umí. 22. října se proto na našem webináři podíváme na SAP Joule hlavně prakticky. Ukážeme konkrétní možnosti a scénáře využití v SAP prostředí a přidáme i zkušenosti z našeho PoC pro ČD Cargo. La scelta di un fornitore EDI raramente dipende solo dalla tecnologia. Molte aziende iniziano confrontando funzionalità, costi o tipologie di integrazione. Tuttavia, l'esperienza dimostra che, nel lungo periodo, sono spesso altri fattori a determinare il successo di un progetto. Un progetto EDI non termina con il go-live. Nel tempo cambiano i processi, si aggiungono nuovi partner commerciali, evolvono le normative e diventano necessari nuovi formati o nuove integrazioni. Per questo, nella scelta di un fornitore, vale la pena porsi anche altre domande: ➔ Il fornitore comprende davvero i miei processi aziendali? ➔ Posso contare su un interlocutore che conosca già la mia azienda? ➔ Quanto rapidamente riesce a supportarmi quando cambiano le esigenze? ➔ Come vengono gestiti nuovi partner commerciali o nuovi formati? ➔ Il supporto termina con l'avvio della soluzione o continua anche nel tempo? Un partner EDI affidabile non offre soltanto un collegamento funzionante, aiuta a costruire processi digitali stabili, flessibili e pronti ad adattarsi ai cambiamenti futuri. La tecnologia è fondamentale. Ma spesso è la qualità della collaborazione che fa davvero la differenza.

Nobody notices IT when things go right. When onboarding is smooth, HR gets the credit. When security holds up, the CISO gets the credit. When a laptop arrives on time, configured, delivered to the right address, in the right country, before day one…No one says anything. That’s the paradox of IT. If everything works, it becomes invisible. But the second something breaks, IT is the first call. And behind the scenes, the reality is often messy: 🌍 Devices across 10 countries 🤝 5 different vendors to coordinate 💻 300+ assets to track 📊 Spreadsheets full of serial numbers, delivery dates, returns, repairs and invoices ⏱️ And everything expected to be ready before day oneday. That’s not a tooling problem only. It’s an operational burden. And IT managers deserve better than another Excel file, another manual process, or another vendor to coordinate. They need a platform that does the heavy lifting. So they can spend less time chasing laptops. Ledelse bliver ofte talt om i store ord. Men i praksis oplever jeg, at den udfolder sig i det nære. I opfølgningen. I tilgængeligheden. I evnen til at stå ved sine valg – også når de ikke er populære. Det svære ligger ikke i de store ord. Det ligger netop i tiden til det nære og det er en prioritering, der aktivt skal gøres.

Autonomous Operations hoitaa sovittua pilvi- ja infraoperointia 24/7. Se tunnistaa tapahtuman, selvittää tilanteen, valitsee sovitun toimintamallin ja toteuttaa toimenpiteen. 2️⃣ Mikä osa on tekoälyä? Tekoäly tulkitsee tilanteen, arvioi riskin ja suunnittelee korjauksen. Automaatio toteuttaa ja sen jälkeen tekoäly tarkistaa lopputuloksen. Asiakas päättää, mitä saa tehdä itsenäisesti ja mihin tarvitaan hyväksyntä. 3️⃣ Mitä alustoja ja ympäristöjä tuette? AWS, Azure, GCP ja VMware. 4️⃣ Onko konkreettisia asiakasesimerkkejä? Yhden globaalin yrityksen 31 pilvitilistä löytyi viikossa 352 000 dollarin vuotuiset säästömahdollisuudet – pelkillä lukuoikeuksilla. Samalla löytyi internetiin avoin tuotantotietokanta sekä varmuuskopioita, jotka raportoivat onnistumisesta, vaikka palautuspisteitä ei ollut yhtään. 5️⃣ Mistä 30 % säästö tulee? Operointipalvelun hinnasta. Vertaamme samaa ympäristöä, palvelulaajuutta ja SLA nykyisen toimittajan hintaan. Laskutus perustuu hallittaviin resursseihin, ja hinta laskee autonomian kasvaessa. Der bliver talt meget om, hvor meget AI kan. Måske skulle vi også tale lidt om, hvad den ikke kan. For når systemerne bliver bedre til at levere svar, bliver evnen til at vurdere kvaliteten af dem kun vigtigere. Det kræver nye kompetencer. Men måske kræver det også, at vi i højere grad gør brug af de medarbejdere, der gennem mange år har opbygget erfaring, faglig dømmekraft og kritisk sans. Teknologi kan hjælpe os med tempo. Ansvar for resultatet kan vi ikke automatisere.

The AI policy went live in March. The good ideas still live in a notebook named “do not share”. That is the follow-up I keep getting after writing about culture and AI in banks. Not a debate about models. A quiet admission that people already built something, and they will not put it on the shared drive. I understand why. For years the next programme meant more controls and fewer seats. Empathy research now says the same thing in survey language. If you experience your leaders as being on your side, AI feels like control over the work. If you do not, it feels like a test you can fail by being visible. So the interesting question on 7 October is not “did we communicate the strategy.” It is whether last week’s best process still has a filename the company is not allowed to see. If the answer is yes, you do not have an adoption problem. You have a contract problem. And no agent will fix that.
