𝗘𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗱𝗴𝗲-𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝗰𝗵 𝗸𝗲𝗶𝗻 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱. ❓ Was beschäftigt diesen Menschen? ❓ Welchen konkreten Bedarf gibt es? ❓ Wie relevant ist die Chance? ❓ Was wurde vereinbart? ❓ Was passiert als Nächstes?

If you’re the hero of your company, you’re also the biggest problem. The business can only grow as far as your personal capacity allows. As CEOs, we're wired to jump in, fix it, save the day, and look strong. It feels good. It feels responsible. It feels like leadership. But it's actually ego and can create the biggest bottleneck in the business: you. Here’s the truth no one told me early on: A company built around a hero can only grow to the limits of that hero. Those limits show up fast. The shift happened when I finally stopped asking, “How do I solve this?” and forced myself to ask, “Who’s the right person to OWN this?” That question changed everything. A few uncomfortable lessons I now give every CEO I coach: + If you can’t delegate, it’s not a “skill gap.” It’s a trust problem. + If you keep jumping in, you’re not “helping." You’re stealing growth from your team. + If you think nobody can do it as well as you can… you’re proving why you’re stuck. Hero leadership feels good in the moment and destroys scale in the long run. Want a scalable company? Stop trying to be the smartest, busiest, hardest-working person in the room. Start building leaders. Start handing over ownership. Start building a team of A-players that can function without you. The day you stop being the hero is the day your company finally grows up. That’s when the business takes off, and when you do too. That’s how you #MakeBIGHappen.

Most CEOs are training harder for a race than they are for their own brain. New research from Dr. Christin Glorioso, MD PHD is a wake-up call: You can boost cognitive performance and reduce dementia risk with five minutes of running or fifteen minutes of fast walking a day. Leaders who build real cardiorespiratory fitness see up to a 40% reduction in dementia risk. The data gets even more interesting: + HIIT can help increase hippocampal volume—the part of the brain responsible for memory and learning. + Resistance training improves executive function—planning, focus, decision-making. + Mind-body practices like tai chi outperform traditional exercise in some studies for cognitive protection. It doesn’t take extreme effort. It takes consistency. Every CEO I coach who treats exercise as a non-negotiable shows up sharper—better decisions, better energy, better leadership. So here’s the question that matters: If a simple daily habit can strengthen your brain and your leadership… why wouldn’t you do it? Check out the full article in the comments.

Twijfel sluipt in besluitvorming. You just closed Q1. Ask yourself (or your Sales team) these 2 questions: 1. When we lose, why do we lose? 2. How did we arrive at that answer? It's never been easier to take call transcripts, dump them into AI, and analyze the patterns. But, when Drew Giovannoli and I conducted the buyer research for our 2026 Buyer Truths study, 65% of mid-market and enterprise B2B buyers said they withheld the real reason the losing vendor lost the deal. So, while AI makes it easier to analyze what buyers TOLD us, more often than not, it's not the full truth. Want to see the reasons why buyers ended up sticking with status quo? What made them cut a vendor? And, the ranking of what mattered most in their final decision? How do you handle buyer push back? Discount? Only 17% of buyers stayed with their existing vendor because of price. In our Buyer Truths report of 172 software buyers in 2026: 51% stayed with their existing vendor because of implementation effort. 15% stayed due to personal credibility risk OR political resistance. Discounting as a gut reaction to buyer push back is lazy and costing you deals. Check out this episode of Buyer Truths with Becky Abraham and Jen Allen-Knuth to learn a whole lot more. The Met Gala 2026 didn’t have a winner. It had a distribution vs conversion imbalance. If you only looked at feeds, this looked like a massive success: ⌙ Beyoncé dominated cross-platform visibility ⌙ Bad Bunny drove global velocity (US + LATAM + Europe) ⌙ K-pop amplification layers expanded reach into Asia within minutes TikTok clips → Instagram carousels → X commentary → YouTube breakdowns The system worked exactly as designed. But when you move one layer deeper (into behavior) the pattern breaks. Search didn’t follow the spectacle. It concentrated. ▪️ What actually moved Spikes clustered around names, not products. ⌙ <30% of top viral looks progressed from engagement → search ⌙ <10% show signals of intent (based on historical red carpet benchmarks + early patterns) Most content peaked at visual consumption, not action ▪️ Who actually won 1️⃣ Cultural Scale Beyoncé Bad Bunny They drove reach, velocity, and platform spread. But this layer is top-of-funnel only. 2️⃣ Behavioral Movement Sabrina Carpenter Rihanna These moments pushed users off-platform. That’s where value actually starts compounding. 3️⃣ Perception Control Balmain (congrats Bruna) Dior Saint Laurent They defined the aesthetic of the night. But there’s a disconnect: ⌙ High editorial dominance ⌙ Low measurable demand signal 4️⃣ Conversion Efficiency Chopard Cartier Tiffany & Co. (well done Hector, Nathalie, Andrea, and team) Fenty Beauty (Nanette congrats) These categories outperform for one reason: They sit closer to realistic ownership ⌙ Jewelry = identifiable + aspirational + searchable ⌙ Beauty = replicable + immediate In every red carpet dataset I’ve looked at, these categories have the highest intent efficiency per impression ▪️ EMV tells the same story if you look at it correctly Estimated distribution ⌙ 40–45% → Talent ⌙ 25–30% → Designers ⌙ 15–20% → Media ⌙ 10–15% → Brands + creators That’s not balanced. That’s a top-heavy attention model. Which explains why demand doesn’t cascade. ▪️ Platform behavior amplified the imbalance TikTok accelerated exposure Instagram locked in prestige X compressed reactions YouTube extended narrative ▪️ The structural issue The Met Gala is optimized for: ⌙ spectacle ⌙ originality ⌙ cultural signaling Demand is driven by: ⌙ recognition ⌙ repeatability ⌙ accessibility Those two systems are drifting further apart. 💡 Non-obvious takeaway The highest-performing looks of the night weren’t the most viral. They were the ones that reduced the distance between admiration and ownership That distance is where conversion lives. And most of the carpet is moving in the opposite direction. For brands, this is the real opportunity. ⌙ Not to win the night. ⌙ But to design the bridge between: being seen → being searched → being bought Most teams are still optimizing for the first step. That’s why moments like this look massive but behave small.

You just bought Claude Code. You will NOT ship faster. 🔥 AI can 10x your coding throughput. AI can 10x your integration speed. And you will still miss every deadline. Here's the formula nobody talks about: Output = Throughput(Constraint) × Throughput(Coding) × Throughput(Integration) You just turbocharged factors 2 and 3. Factor 1 — your architects, your requirements, your ONE bottleneck — you left it exactly as it was. 80% of companies are unknowingly destroying 54% of their potential output by overloading that constraint. We've been measuring it since 2016. So congratulations: you now have a Ferrari engine bolted to a bicycle frame. The companies that will actually win with AI are not the ones buying the best tools. They're the ones that first find their constraint — then protect it. That's not a technology problem. That's a management problem. Most executives don't want to hear that. "Are you solving the constraint — or just the code?"

My latest piece for ServiceNow Workflow talks about how AI represents the next revolution for management. The core argument is that AI isn't just the next software cycle. The gap between AI adopters and AI pacesetters isn't about spending, or even which models you have access to. It's about institutional readiness - whether you've architected your organization for AI, or just layered AI onto the fragmented systems you already had. Day 1: CFO resigns. Day 14: You’ve missed your close. Day 30: The board’s asking questions. That’s how fast things unravel when finance leadership disappears in a portco. Every day is critical when no one’s watching burn, the forecast is stale, and the board assumes you’ve lost control. High-performing PE firms don’t wait for it to happen. They bring in interim CFOs who’ve seen it all before, and can restore order from day one. BluWave, LP introduces you to exact-fit, PE-grade CFOs in an average of 1.2 days. The kind who cut close time in half and rebuild forecasting under pressure. So one gap doesn’t derail your entire quarter. Read more about where interim CFOs can step in: https://lnkd.in/ew_y_KvK
- BluWave, LPRecorded 11 Sept 2026
The biggest mistake PE firms make when hiring an interim CFO? Chasing the lowest rate instead of the right fit. It almost never works out. Because when the forecast is late, diligence questions start piling up, and the board’s getting anxious… A proven operator creates value that goes beyond their rate. Exponentially. PE firms need a special breed of interim CFO who’s: ✅ Lived the PE pace and knows how to lead under pressure ✅ Navigated exits, restructurings, and all the chaos in between ✅ Built trust fast with sponsors and portco leadership ✅ Available yesterday (but realistically, within a few days) The wrong CFO opens portcos up to risk and all types of missteps. And those missteps can bleed money FAST. The right one shortens the path to value, starting the moment they step foot in the office. We put together the 20 most critical factors to vet in an interim CFO before you go all-in. Get the full list → https://lnkd.in/eCMJdcFF

So it’s happened to me a few times in my life where I thought, “This is the next big thing in technology, but there’s no book about it.” And each time, I ended up writing the first bestseller. This feels like one of those times. Today, Joseph M. Bradley and I are launching "You to the Power of Two: Redefining Human Potential in the Age of Identic AI." The book explores a profound shift already underway: AI is evolving from a set of tools to active participants in our lives - digital extensions of ourselves that can think, learn, decide, and act on our behalf. We call it "Identic AI." We wrote this book because Identic AI will transform work, learning, creativity, health, democracy and our very concept of identity. Big opportunities, big challenges, and a lot to unpack. But the most important question remains: Who owns our digital selves, and how do we ensure humans stay in charge? We believe this is one of the big conversations of our time, and we’re eager to build some real momentum around it. If the topic resonates, I’d be grateful if you’d consider ordering a copy (or a few… the holiday season is just around the corner!): https://a.co/d/if9oSoE Please share a short review or a selfie with the book once it arrives, and I will make a big deal of it online! Thanks for being part of this journey. The age of Identic AI is here, and together we can shape it for the better!

Alsof daarmee alles gezegd is.

A rent freeze is meant to protect the people who need housing most. It usually does the opposite. Here's why. A cap doesn't create a single new apartment, and it doesn't reduce demand either. List an apartment in Berlin and a hundred people still show up. All a cap changes is how the landlord picks one of them. When the price can't decide, something else does: the safest name on the application. The doctor couple gets the apartment. The supermarket cashier doesn't. So the tenant the cap was written for is often the one who ends up without the apartment. Berlin already tested this. The 2020 rent cap was struck down by the constitutional court a year later, but not before the supply of rental listings collapsed. Studies put the drop somewhere between a quarter and a half. Fewer apartments, harder to find, handed to whoever looked safest on paper. The uncomfortable truth is that affordable housing cannot be legislated into existence. It requires more supply. And supply will only expand when the economics make sense. Either because rents rise to sustainable levels or because construction costs fall as excessive regulation is rolled back. When the East German market opened to investors in the late 90s, so much got built that rents actually fell. In Leipzig, even in the early 2010s, you could rent a fully renovated apartment for €4.50 per square meter. A cap can freeze a number for a while. It can't build the next apartment. Only investment does that. If the goal is genuinely affordable housing, the only lever that works is building more of it.

Jetzt musst du an jedem Tag abliefern.
