#comunicazione #pr #marketing

AI tools are a vital part of any marketing team's toolbox. But with great power, the choice is yours: use it a force multiplier to accelerate what's already good, or become immersed in a world of low-effort AI slop. I've made no secret of my take on this. Human creativity and critical thinking will remain as the differentiator between good and great marketing: the power of brand, actual strategy and deep research will always beat low-effort garbage at the speed of light. This month, our team started testing a new tool, DOJO AI. Built by marketers for marketers by my friend Duarte Garrido and his great team, I continue to be impressed with its ability to deliver genuine strategic depth. I don't say this lightly: as a guy with 20 years in the agency industry, Dojo now replaces 90% of the tasks I'd have expected a middleweight or junior digital marketing specialist to do: - Competitive research and benchmarking - Full keyword analysis, research and content plans in minutes, not days - Analysis of paid media performance, with recommendations - Content audits, brand audits and open-source sentiment analysis reports - Content outlines and keyword optimizations based on thousands of variables - Full understanding of our marketing data, ICP and GTM strategy It's like having a bright, motivated marketing grad, working 24/7. In a recent test, we asked it to draft a short piece of research-based content we'd later integrate into a larger campaign: a common first step in our editorial process. To our surprise, after only 2 minor edits, the copy it generated passed several AI detection tests, with surprisingly accurate outputs. For the first ever, we're able to move quickly and with confidence, without having to remind an enthusiastic but ultimately naive LLM not to be a corny, unauthentic pretender in the middle of an inexplicable hallucination frenzy nobody asked for. Not all AI tools are made equal. Will this replace talented, strategic marketers? Not yet. But we're getting closer.

Why you, agency owner, are the bottleneck, even with SOPs: You don’t have human accountability. Processes help, yes. But they can’t replace a person whose job is to: → Care for your clients → Make decisions → Lead communication → Keep projects moving → Step in so you don’t have to When you give a dedicated Account Manager the authority to take over, everything changes. You stop firefighting. Your team moves faster. Your clients feel supported. And you finally get the space to think and scale. If you’re stuck in the weeds, even with great systems, let’s talk through what this could look like for your agency. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gPRgqgMR

Advogado, R$ 1.838 investidos. Investimento no LK Ads: R$ 1.838 02. Leads gerados: 103 leads a R$ 17,81 cada 03. Contratos protocolados: 20 04. No LinkedIn é diferente. I think the most dangerous phrase in marketing is probably: “We think it’s working.” Not because instinct is bad. (Some of the best growth decisions are instinctive.) But because most businesses say this while spending lots and lots of money. You see it all the time with brand activity: Out-of-home, Influencers, Sponsorships, Awareness campaigns. The business can high-level feel the impact through traffic or search volume, but nobody can properly quantify the contribution, so the conversation becomes very subjective, very quickly. - Marketing typically believes in it. - Finance aren't sure of the ROI. - Leadership sits somewhere in the middle, and connects with it on an emotional level. This is what pushes brands towards marketing science (MMM and incrementality testing) to prove marketing works but also to understand which parts of it are creating the incremental growth. I personally think....why think it's working, when you can actually find out what's working and use that to guide future strategies! PS: unrelated Arsenal pic to aura farm 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆

I talk a lot about Marketing Analytics, but we’re seeing more and more demand for our Data Foundations work. The reason is because companies want to internalise their data stack, connect siloed sources and create the foundations needed to use AI properly across the business. A good example is our work with filu, a fast-growing, tech-enabled veterinary group. Their data had outgrown manual Google Sheets reporting, and they needed a more scalable foundation for decision-making. We helped build that foundation by: ⚈ Aligning teams around consistent KPIs (fully defined and documented KPI catalogue) ⚈ Syncing and joining core data sources into BigQuery ⚈ Creating a validated semantic layer ⚈ Adding automated testing so the numbers could be trusted ⚈ Unlocking automated reporting & AI capabilities See the full case study here 👉 https://lnkd.in/ezpryZ5w

Here are 11 tips that I believe can improve your account (full video in the comments) 1. Quality conversion tracking. Get that CRM data into the platform! Not only will Google have more data points to use, but these will be of higher quality. 2. Consolidation You don't need 20 campaigns and thousands of keywords *usually * . Try simplifying the account. All the keywords are broad anyway. 3. Exclusions I almost feel that currently the exclusions are more important than inclusions. Be on top of keywords at all times. Also negative keyword lists. Cross-exclusions. Especially brand and competitor terms. 4. Fast and relevant landing pages This is obvious. 5. Leveraging smart bidding If you get enough conversion volume. just do it. Use max conversions (with or without CPA). You can pretend that you can outsmart the algorithm by doing it manually. But lets be real... 6. Chill with the amount of RSAs per ad group In some cases you might even want to limit the amount of headlines you use. Think about it, you have 15 headlines and 4 descriptions - Google can make a lot of variations. But if you get 20 clicks per month from that ad, Google will never learn which combo works best. 7. Google doesn't like pinning, but we do. 5/5/5 method Headline 1-5 :Keyword related + keyword insertion Headline 6-10: USP, Use Cases Headline 11-15: CTA, Social proof 8. Don't forget device adjustments. They work also with smart bidding 9. Bid on brand or not to bid on brand? Check auction insights in each market and determine based on that. 10. ALWAYS report on brand vs non-brand Brand keyword results are not because of google ads! Something else has happened and that is why users are looking for your brand. Judging google ads performance including brand is just wrong. 11. Bonus. Location targeting Especially when we don't have enough data we tend to put all EMEA together. Be critical, does Spain, Italy or Finland really perform for you? I've seen this many times - you kind of don't notice those countries, but over a year that cost stacks up. Thanks Silvio Perez for inviting to talk on this episode of "Learning from the Pros"! I urge everyone to head to adconversion[.]com AdConversion and check their resource page (and also courses) - it is a gold mine.

LinkedIn campaign objectives can make or break your campaigns. One of the biggest levers on LinkedIn right now is the campaign objective. This single setting can completely change your performance. We started noticing this on Dreamdata’s account almost a year ago. Different markets reacted differently to the same objective, and it flipped performance on its head. So we went deep and tested every objective across every campaign and region. And this is one of those tests that confirmed it. Two Thought Leader campaigns with the same content. (One targeting EMEA, other NA). Two weeks of testing and only the objective and bidding strategy changed. Here is what we saw: • Reach objective with Max Delivery gave us good impressions, reach, clicks, and CPC. CTR was the weak spot. • Engagement objective with Manual bidding increased CTR , as well as heavily increased CPC and tanked delivery. • Engagement objective with Max Delivery flipped everything. EU had the lowest CPC, highest CTR, and the most clicks across all tests. NA didn’t respond the same way. It was hard to pick the clear winners, but we settled on the following final setup: • EU → Engagement objective with Max Delivery. (Due to high engagement, low costs. Sacrificing reach.) • NA → Reach objective with Max Delivery. (Due to reach and low costs. Sacrificing engagement rate, but getting that extra reach as bonus.) In the end, what this really showed us is how sensitive LinkedIn’s performance is to basic changes like bidding and objectives. There’s no universal “go-to-objective” anymore. You just test and compare, test and compare, until you find the one that actually works.

Shopify brands obsess over email open rates. Meanwhile WhatsApp gets 90%+ and nobody's using it. Same flows. Same discounts. Same fight for attention. Meanwhile, WhatsApp case studies are showing results email simply struggles to match: → 90% open rate for Clarins → 4.5x higher open rate than email → 7x higher conversion rate than email → 10x higher engagement vs. other channels for LuLu Hypermarket And it is not niche behavior. Meta reports that 1 billion people message a business every week across its platforms, and around 80% of online adults message a business at least once a week. Your customers are already there. Most brands just are not using WhatsApp as a real commerce channel yet. At DigiFist, we’ve worked closely with Shopify brands for years, and the same pattern kept showing up: Customers ask questions before they buy. They abandon carts. They wait for sold-out products to come back. They want order updates. They respond better when the conversation feels direct and personal. But instead of connecting those moments, most brands still treat WhatsApp as a support inbox - or ignore it entirely. So we built Galantis WhatsApp. A WhatsApp commerce platform for Shopify that helps brands with: • Abandoned cart recovery • Back-in-stock alerts • Campaign messaging • AI-assisted replies and flows • Delivery updates • Customer support, in any language The same channel your customers already check, now connected to your store and faster with AI, without losing the personal touch. There’s a free plan and you can install it directly from the Shopify App Store: https://lnkd.in/ev5fBjDS Curious whether it fits your store? Drop a comment or DM me.

There’s room for everyone in AdTech until complexity starts getting in the way of value. For years, the industry as a whole has treated fragmentation as the price of a growing ecosystem. But as media scales, the friction in our supply chain isn't just inconvenient anymore; it's holding publishers and advertisers back from real growth. We don't need another buzzword. We don't need another multi-layered ad chain taking cuts for doing nothing. We need real automation, transparent infrastructure, and direct publisher-advertiser connections. That’s exactly why we’re returning to New York City on October 14th for the 5th anniversary of the DanAds Summit. We started this journey in NYC five years ago to ask uncomfortable questions about where self-serve and advertising automation were actually headed. Today, we’re not just asking - we’re actively dismantling the legacy friction together with 170+ of the brightest publishers, advertisers, and innovators in media. Expect zero boring slide decks, zero rehearsed corporate PR talking points, and zero gatekeeping. With Rob Beeler moderating once again, we are going straight to the root of the ecosystem's biggest challenges, from AI and first-party data to CTV monetization and true campaign automation. If you’re content with the status quo, this might not be the room for you. But if you’re ready to stop talking about fixing fragmentation and actually build what comes next, I’d love to see you in NYC. Publishers and Media Owners: You attend completely free. AdTech Providers: Early bird pricing is live now through Sept 1st. Grab your spot here: https://lnkd.in/d9tWM2FN Let’s stop overcomplicating advertising and start building what actually works. See you at Midtown Loft & Terrace on the 5th avenue, Wednesday 14th October!

Happy customers/advocates are the best kind of marketing 🔥 I couldn't be more grateful to have such vocal advocates like Ronak Shah helping to spread the word about Digioh. It's been a pleasure working with Ronak and the Obvi team as we migrated their quiz from Octane AI to Digioh (and more than doubled quiz engagement/results for their store and we're only getting started!). Our goal at Digioh is not just to lead with an exceptional platform, but also exceptional service, training, and continued optimization. This is what leads to great outcomes for our customers and their buiness. 🔑 If we do those things right, we know this can lead to natural advocacy/earned media. Yesterday on this X thread, a well-known DTC marketing agency was asking for recommendations on quiz funnels. Ronak jumped in recommending Digioh and highlighted one of our best value propositions — our done-for-you onboarding. As a marketer, you can't ask for a better recommendation than this! More to come soon between Digioh x Obvi! 🤝

Bobby. Bob. Robert. James. RJ. Five names. Five mail pieces. One person. I see this all the time, and it’s quietly draining marketing budgets. Just 2% duplication in a million-piece campaign wastes more than $10K per drop. 💰 And the kicker? As marketers rush to scale AI-driven personalization, the visibility and cost of duplicate data keeps growing. I find it usually comes down to inconsistent data entry, outdated records, or merging files without a unified ID. A few things I've seen make a huge difference: ⚡ Level up from standard data hygiene (CASS, DPV, NCOA) 🧩 Run advanced dedupe and address standardization before every campaign 🔗 Match records across multiple identifiers The payoff? Cleaner data, lower costs, and higher ROI. Even small improvements add up fast. I’ve seen clients recover millions in avoidable waste, just by paying attention to the data first. Lifestage marketing, when done well, is like rocket fuel for brand sales. Throughout my career I have always looked for purchase triggers - those moments when people are ready to consider a new brand. Mostly we shop on habit, but during the various life stages such as living independently for the first time, buying a new home, getting married, or having children - we are open to considering new products and new brands for the first time. I would argue that leaving the family home for the first time is one of the most important moments for brands - going from having everything bought for you, to buying for yourself for the first time. At Dig-In, we reach 500,000 students on their very first day of university, when their senses are heightened because everything is new - the city, the digs, the people, the shops ... These giffgaff playing cards are still remembered by students I speak to years later, and helped to generate 20,000 new giffgaff customers - just one of many examples that show reaching people before shopping habits are formed is a powerful growth strategy for marketers looking for new customers. - Drop me a note on LinkedIn if you’d like to learn how you can put your brand into the hands of half a million new shoppers every year with Dig-In. You don’t need to send more emails, you need to send smarter ones. At the DDMAs this year, Just Russel shared that they reduced email volume by 85%. A lot of marketers (myself included) were surprised. It sounds really risky, right? But here’s the twist: their revenue and engagement actually shot up. Why? Because they went all in on personalisation. They learned everything about their customers' pets: diet, age, exercise levels, medical needs, and even a picture of them. They then used that info to offer tailored advice on your pet's nutrition and food needs. As a nice last touch, they even included a photo of your pet in the package 🐾 This kind of communication with your customer doesn’t feel like marketing. It feels like care. It’s a great reminder that automation is only as good as the input. When you combine smart data with thoughtful creativity, you don’t just send emails - you build relationships. And those relationships drive results.
