BIG news: Finanzguru went live with 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿, powered by finperks. By us! We are the rewards engine behind it, reaching their 3+ million users 🤯🚀 I have wanted this one on the board for a while. What a ride it's been really, I have no words Finanzguru is one of Germany's biggest finance super apps. When Benjamin Michel and Alexander Michel told me they wanted to turn everyday spending into loyalty points, we knew where to hit the target on the nail. A user opens Finanzguru, picks a brand, buys a voucher, and the points build up on top till cash out. Easy, No codes, No searching. And the catalogue isn't filler, its the places people already spend every week on groceries, fashion, travel, entertainment. Points clear in real time the second someone crosses €5, and Finanzguru Plus doubles them on every voucher. Groceries, travel, fashion are things people buy every week without thinking twice. Tie points to that, pay out building up on the spot, and the app becomes part of how you already spend. The Plus doubling gives regular buyers a reason to upgrade, and a reason to spend more once they have. That's what we mean by building a rewards engine, and not a coupon 💜 For the 2026 World Cup, Finanzguru ran a prediction game with €250,000 in prizes, and dropped the rewards engine straight into it. Sparbooster points sat in the prize pool next to cash and signed Toni Kroos merch, with boosted double-digit cashback on selected brands for the tournament. That is what you get when rewards are infrastructure and not a fixed feature. A big moment lands, you build the campaign on top, and the engine bends to fit it. No brand-by-brand negotiation and approvals. No supplier contracts to juggle. They plugged into finperks and had a full catalogue they can push to their users from day 1 👌 A huge thank you to the founders, I've been a fan of what you've built for years, and working closely with you on this launch only confirmed why: I rarely see a team this customer-first and recognize exactly what their customers are missing out. Of course, a massive thank you to the growing finperks team. Launches like this happen because you go the extra mile every single day, quietly and consistently. Proud to build this with you. I don't think enough people realize what's happening with stablecoins. Last year, stablecoins processed around $33T in transaction volume, compared to roughly $25.5T across Visa and Mastercard combined. Still, that doesn't mean stablecoins will replace Visa or Mastercard. In fact, I think they'll coexist. Visa and Mastercard are already building products and investing (a lot) in stablecoins, because they understand these rails unlock something fundamentally different: internet-native dollars that move 24/7, settle globally, and can be embedded directly into software. And this is probably just the beginning. Chainalysis projects adjusted stablecoin volume could reach $1.5 quadrillion annually by 2035 under an accelerated adoption scenario. Whether that exact number is reached or not isn't the point. The direction is. The rails are here. Now the race is about distribution. I shared more thoughts on where this is heading in my latest Forbes article. Link in the comments.

Here's a reality check for DTC founders: You're crushing your sales goals, but your cash position is still a mystery. You're stuck piecing together spreadsheets at midnight, trying to figure out if you can afford that next inventory order. At least you're not alone in this. While your P&L might look solid, your real-time cash position feels like a black box. Making decisions based on outdated numbers or gut feel isn't just stressful – it's dangerous for your business. Speaking of which, check out this founder's story, Hayley Segar from onewith Swim. She nails exactly what it feels like to transition from outdated tools to having crystal-clear cash visibility. If you're tired of the cash flow guessing game, let's talk - DM or through here >> https://lnkd.in/dQmEc8My Your growth decisions deserve better data.

>>Let me guess: You can pull up your P&L in seconds, but do you actually trust what those numbers are telling you? >>Do you know where your money is really going? >>Are your margins actually improving? >>Why does profitability feel so... unpredictable? Look, as a DTC founder, you need more than just numbers in a spreadsheet. You need to spot trends before they become problems. You need to see opportunities before your competition does. That’s one of the things Taylor Holiday here shines a light on - I’m sure the experiences he describes hit close to home. He talks about transforming those confusing numbers into actionable insights. This isn’t a sponsored post. I just wanted to write about a tool that’s made a real difference for our clients when it comes to managing company spending. At ConnectCPA LLP, we have a tech stack of tools we lean on pretty heavily and every once in a while, one of them stands out. Float is one of those. When we’re helping our clients, we hear the same pain points over and over: reimbursements, missing receipts, one company card that everyone shares, finance teams chasing people down, etc. Float has helped clean that up. And it’s helped improve our internal processes too. We’ve rolled it out with many clients, and the feedback has been really positive. For one client, it meant no more fronting thousands on personal cards. Now, every department head had their own card and expenses were tracked automatically. And now with Float Business Accounts, there’s a whole other layer: CAD and USD in one place, fair FX, instant transfers, and interest on balances. That’s huge for Canadian companies working cross-border. I put some more thoughts (and a client story) into a blog post here: https://lnkd.in/gstsa8TK Aside from the blog post though, this is just a genuine shout-out to one of the tools in our stack that’s helped clients streamline their finance function.

When Float asked me, “What’s the worst advice you got when starting your business in Canada?” I didn’t have to think twice. The worst advice I ever received was to play it safe. In reality, there’s no “safe” way to build something meaningful in Canada’s business landscape, especially in security. Playing it safe usually means staying invisible. Building Blackmark Protection Inc. meant betting on bold ideas, taking calculated risks, and leading with purpose even when the timing, funding, or infrastructure weren’t perfect. That same mindset extends to how we run our business today. Partnering with Float has helped us move faster and stay focused on the opportunities that matter, instead of getting stuck in the weeds with financial admin. With Float’s Corporate Cards and Expense Management Platform, we’ve been able to streamline expenses, simplify reporting, pay vendors faster and get real-time visibility into spending. Float has made managing our business finances so much smoother, freeing up time and headspace to keep building and scaling. Proud to be supported by a built-for-Canada business finance solution while growing a Canadian company of my own.

The Question That Divided over 100 Finance Professionals If you could only do one type of cash flow forecast for the rest of your career - short-term (13 weeks) or long-range (12-24 months) - which would you choose? 90% said long-range according to a poll by Fractional Finance Forum But in this CFO Huddle episode, we admitted something uncomfortable: while we prefer strategic planning, the 13-week forecast is what actually saves businesses. With Elliott Gaspar, Stacey Borrow and Ciaran O'Donnell, we tackled the forecasting choices that make or break your impact as a fractional CFO. What we explored: → Why you can be loss-making many times, but only run out of cash once → The red flags hiding in forecasts that look perfectly fine → How to maintain accuracy when you're only with clients a few days a month → The £1.2M VAT bill that nobody saw coming One principle stood out: cash flow forecasting isn't about perfect prediction. It's about seeing problems early enough to solve them. Watch "13 Weeks to Save a Business" - join the Cash Flow Intelligence Hub (powered by Float Cash Flow Forecasting) - link in the comments. Everyone thinks they have visibility until they need it. Lending teams generate application data, risk assessments, compliance checks, and operational activity across a dozen systems. On the surface, it looks like clarity. In reality, visibility comes from how well those pieces work together in real time. Every month-end reminds us of this. Leadership needs a precise picture of portfolio health, and teams push to assemble it from scattered systems. By then, conditions have already evolved, and the opportunity to respond proactively has passed. At finspectra, we designed Prizm, powered by Lending Intelligence, to give lenders the operational clarity today’s environment demands. — Unified Portfolio Visibility brings every account, stage, and product into one view. — Policy-Aware Automation keeps decisions consistent and audit-ready without manual effort. — Configurable, real-time analytics let teams adjust based on what’s happening now, not last quarter. With these capabilities working together, visibility becomes part of everyday execution. And the lenders who move ahead are the ones who treat it as a capability, not a checkpoint.
- finspectraRecorded 19 Sept 2026
Only a third of lenders have moved past repeat loan errors. The rest are still treating recurring errors like maintenance tasks instead of architecture problems. Every day without fixing that foundation means the next quarter starts with this quarter's mess. And the gap between early movers and everyone else? It widens with every reporting cycle. Lenders with intelligent control treat audits as a formality. Everyone else scrambles to get ready. The difference shows up in the infrastructure. Live rule engines close audits before they open. When controls update across the platform, exceptions stop recurring. What used to be quarterly reconciliations becomes continuous validation. finspectra's Lending Intelligence solves this by stopping decay at the source. Prizm embeds audit integrity into daily processes instead of quarter-end scrambles: 1. Live rules enforce policy as transactions happen, not after 2. Variance tracking catches exceptions before they compound 3. Credit scoring models update continuously with new data 4. Risk profiles generate instantly when conditions change 5. Portfolio exposures are monitored as they evolve, not quarterly Precision compounds just like delay does... and honestly, most lenders are still compounding the wrong one.

We connect over 100,000 financial data feeds across North America. I’ve watched dozens of institutions debate whether to build data connectivity in-house or partner. I tell them all the same thing: You have to choose your DNA. A company cannot effectively operate as a financial institution and a tech company simultaneously. The operational cultures actively fight against each other. Financial companies optimizes for balance sheets. They focus on managing risk, adjudicating loan books, and optimize for yield and basis points. Fintechs optimize for the stack. We focus on observability, API documentation, and Services Level Agreements. You can certainly have an IT department that understands these principles. However, you cannot make it the core culture that drives executive level decision-making. There is a simple test for this. The CEO of a major bank likely does not know the exact uptime SLA of their web portal this week. Nor should they. That’s not an important metric for their core business. I know the specific SLA of every endpoint we manage. I check it daily because that reliability is our core business model. When you build data connectivity in-house, it inevitably becomes a secondary priority. It has to compete for resources against the core banking products that drive revenue. When you partner, you align yourself with a team whose primary business objective is to build and deploy a strong financial infrastructure. If your leadership team doesn't obsess over API latency at 8:00 AM on a Saturday, you most likely shouldn't be the one building the API.

After 4 years building Celeri, we joined Esusu last year. Here's what that means for fraud prevention in multifamily. When we started, fraud was exploding. Existing tools cost more and still relied on manual review. That meant subjective decisions, inconsistent outcomes, and always being a step behind as fraud patterns changed. We were early to apply AI to this problem, automating metadata and structural analysis at a depth manual review couldn't match. Now we're part of something bigger. Esusu has rent payment data on millions of renters. They've built the largest rent reporting network in the country. And we’re building toward something the industry has never had: a complete, verified financial identity. Esusu Identity Services is bringing forensic document analysis and global identity verification into that ecosystem. One platform. One source of truth. For operators, it means stopping fraud before move-in and building toward a future where applicant trust isn't guesswork. Here’s a real-world example of SSN fraud we caught with our new 𝗦𝗦𝗡 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 feature that a standard screening would have approved. On the surface, this applicant looked fine and would have passed a traditional ID verification. Under the hood, we uncovered that: • This 𝗦𝗦𝗡 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝗱 to this individual by the SSA • The same 𝗦𝗦𝗡 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝟯 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 • This applicant has used 𝟳 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗦𝗡𝘀 in prior financial applications • Our data network even surfaced their 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗦𝗦𝗡 • Their 𝗗𝗢𝗕 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 the SSN issuance date • They used a 𝗩𝗼𝗜𝗣 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 • Across the wider ecosystem, this person had used 𝟯𝟬+ 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀, 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 in prior financial applications This is a 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗱𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿: creating and maintaining multiple synthetic profiles under their own name and building credit history on those profiles, allowing them to pass traditional credit checks while masking their true history. One of our customers went from 7 to 50 licenses in four years. Without us ever picking up the phone to upsell. N+P Group is an international recycling and raw materials group. Offices in the Netherlands and the UK, 45 legal entities, more than 500 employees. Chris Hoyle, their Group Financial Controller, started using Exsion for his own monthly reports. After that, it spread on its own. His colleagues saw what he was doing. Consolidation across 14 entities in a single Excel report. Cash flow forecasts he refreshed with one click. Tonnage and margin per contract, operational and financial data combined. They wanted the same thing. That is the pattern I see most often. Not a big rollout from the top down, but one controller who starts and colleagues who follow. Because they see it works. Chris said something that stuck with me. At a previous employer, he implemented Business Central without Exsion. Looking back, he calls that a major mistake. The first six months went into downloading and stitching reports together. That is exactly why I am building this company. Not to be the biggest, but to build the tool that controllers actually want to work with. And if the tool is good enough, it sells itself. 50 licenses later, I can say that with confidence. #BusinessCentral #FinancialReporting #ExcelReporting

Yhä useammin kyse on kumppanuudesta kokonaisvaltaisessa varallisuudenhoidossa. Mitä varallisuudella on tarkoitus mahdollistaa? 👉Kiinnostaako aihe? I think a lot of companies are quietly wasting their most expensive finance people. The best finance teams I know have the space to do the work that actually matters, because they are not buried in spreadsheets to get to it. For most of my career I watched finance treated as the team that reports the past. Close the month, explain the variance, produce the deck, start again. Smart people are stuck doing work a system should be doing for them. I did not start Farseer to make that reporting a little faster. I started it to give those people their time back, so they can do the part only they can do. Decide where the money goes next. That is the real return. Not the hours saved on reconciliation, although there are plenty of those. It is what a finance team does once those hours are free. The scenarios they run. The questions they answer for the CEO before the CEO thinks to ask them. If you are considering Farseer to shave time off your team's day-to-day, you are aiming too low. I am biased, obviously. But if you have already been looking at Farseer, the honest way to judge whether that shift is real for your team is to see it working on your own numbers. If you want that, I am happy to set it up with the team. No slideware, no pressure. Just the platform and your model. https://lnkd.in/eEDhBwis

AI isn't replacing CFO judgment. It's removing the friction that slows it down. The real competitive advantage isn't having more data. It's turning analysis into confident decisions before the opportunity disappears. The most effective finance teams are no longer using AI simply to produce reports faster. They're using it to challenge assumptions, test multiple scenarios, understand trade-offs and evaluate the financial impact of decisions while there's still time to act. Of course, faster answers only matter if you can trust them. That starts with connected, governed financial data and complete visibility into how conclusions are reached. I recently explored this topic with The Financial Revolutionist, discussing why finance leaders should stop treating AI as a reporting tool and start using it as a strategic decision-making partner, without sacrificing oversight. Have a read and let me know what you think. https://lnkd.in/eZEM64YY

Dobra platforma z czasem przestaje być „systemem IT".

The most valuable document in a bank isn't the deck you send the client. It's the marked-up draft you throw away on the way there. Everyone says the last mile for AI is judgment. And everyone's fix is the same one we've heard for 30 years: capture your institutional knowledge, which always just means index your documents and search them. But a finished document is the output of judgment with the judgment removed. You can search every deck a firm ever shipped and learn nothing about how it actually decides. The judgment is in the diff. The edits between the first draft and the final one, where a senior person's taste and relationships become concrete changes to the work. Almost every firm in finance and law throws that signal away, every single day. I wrote about what it would mean to keep it, and why the system that does is the next thing after the system of record. We're building it at Farsight, for financial services first. The System of Judgment. Link in comments.
