Came across a really interesting situation recently - a business that had grown 20-25% in a quarter while cutting their paid performance spend by roughly the same amount 😳 On the face of it that was incredible, but the honest answer from the team was "we're not really sure what drove it." Could be the upper funnel activity they'd started a few months earlier, could be seasonality, could be improved brand equity, could be better creative etc ⁉️ The problem with not knowing is that you can't replicate it. You don't know whether to double down on the brand investment or whether it was just a good quarter. You don't know if cutting performance spend was a smart move or if was just lucky timing. And when the board asks what drove the growth, someone has to give a reason...! Even when noone really knows. More dashboards don't solve this. What can solve it is a measurement framework that can separate baseline brand growth, media contribution, seasonality and pricing changes, and tell you what moved the number. That's our whole thing! What is the role of a Marketing Science consultancy like Day1data? I’ve been thinking about this quite a lot as we go into the depths of H2. For me, it is not about making decisions for you. It is about helping your team make better decisions, collaboratively and consistently. Marketing measurement will never be perfect. No model is 100% accurate, no test is completely robust, and no single methodology gives you the full answer. But that does not mean you should guess - a good Marketing Science consultancy helps you: • reduce wasted ad spend • scale investment with greater confidence • bring evidence into marketing strategy • create a continuous cycle of measurement, learning and improvement The value is not just producing another model or presenting another set of insights. It is making sure those insights are understood, acted on and embedded into how the business operates. Because the best analysis/insights are worthless if nobody uses it. That's why the consultancy element matters 🤓 #facts If you want to learn more, book a time to chat: https://lnkd.in/eBde9EmH

🚀 Big news at Deployteq! One year ago, I joined Deployteq because something big was being built… And now it’s here: the Deployteq CDP – designed to make your data work faster and smarter. 💙 All your customer data finally in one place → enabling real-time, personalised campaigns that drive real results. It all starts with a clear use case. Yesterday, I presented one: 📊 A Next Best Offer model, with seasonal, transactional and website data ➡️ Using the data across three journeys/ campaigns ⚡ Resulting in higher conversion rates — and more turnover. 💡 Now I’m curious: what would your first data use case be? #Deployteq #CDP #MarketingAutomation #DataDriven

Some of the highest ROI in marketing sits where we don’t measure it properly. → The upsell after a first purchase → The win-back offer before churn → The loyalty message that turns one visit into three These touchpoints aren’t flashy. But when done right, they deliver outsized returns. And here’s the thing - they’re only possible when your customer data is unified and your campaigns are automated. That’s where the long-term value lives. And that’s where marketing proves its impact.

6% waste. That’s the average we find in client campaign files. (That’s a LOT of trash!) Most marketers don’t realize how much bad data quietly eats into their campaign ROI. It’s often missed, and it adds up fast. At DDG, we find that waste — and the savings cover the service itself. So here’s a question: Are you confident your next campaign list is truly clean? If not, we’ll run a free data audit and show you exactly what you could be saving. You've heard of Design Thinking. It's a process developed by the Stanford University Design School addressing the intersection of art, science, and engineering to meet human needs. So how do we leverage this philosophy in business? Here are some thoughts.

The hidden benefits of targeting net new shoppers: what marketers often miss. Marketers of the biggest brands in the world already know that every year in the UK, 500,000 brand new shoppers are created – it’s the biggest migration of humans in the UK each year. These new shoppers are created on the day that they move out of their parents’ home and into university digs. Suddenly, the onus is on them to buy everything that was previously bought by mum or dad in the family home, which causes a flurry of new purchase decisions. These first days of university life are a key time for brands to influence purchasing decisions that could turn into lifetime shopping habits. But there is a secondary benefit that marketers often miss, and this happens when those 500,000 teenagers go back to their family home for the holidays and ask why mum and dad haven’t got X, Y or Z brand in the fridge. At Dig In, we work with brands to deliver physical products into the hands of 500,000 students via our university sampling, as well as digital reach via email, mobile, CTV, OOH and display. 💬 Let me know if you’d like to know more? #GenZMarketing #Marketing #RetailMedia

Today is a BIG day for us at Digioh. We were named Klaviyo Technology Partner of the Year Americas 2025 at K:BOS 🎉 This is one of the most significant awards I’ve ever been a part of receiving in my career. Partnerships are at the core of everything we do at Digioh—how we go to market across content, product, partner marketing, events, enablement—and how we think about product innovation to deliver value for customers. I’ve always believed marketing with partners is the ultimate 1+1=3, especially when the better-together story is this strong. And nothing in my career has felt as powerful as what we’ve built with our friends at Klaviyo to support their mission of being the only CRM built for B2C. Together we share 550+ mutual customers like Dollar Shave Club, ThirdLove, and Andie, powering identity-driven personalization across web, email, SMS, and push. From personalized product quizzes and pop-ups to Digioh’s proprietary Owned Identification Suite, we enhance the Klaviyo platform with data-rich touchpoints that fuel segmentation, flows, and revenue. And the results speak for themselves 👇 - 300%+ higher conversion rates - 2x faster list growth - 10–20% click-through rates on Klaviyo flows powered by Digioh data - 13% average incremental revenue lift This award is proof of the measurable impact our integration delivers and the smarter customer experiences we’re building—together. Great partnerships like this don’t happen without great people behind the scenes. Huge thanks to our friends at Klaviyo and to the entire Digioh team for pushing this partnership forward from product to success — there are too many to name but y'all know who you are! It takes a village, and I couldn’t be more bullish on where we’re headed and the value we’re delivering to mutual customers. LFG! 👏

I love when data makes us laugh and think. At DDG, we run a fun little challenge each month: find the worst fake names hiding in our clients’ campaign files. The (Rated PG) winners in October? 👉 D. Ouchebag 👉 Crap Ola 👉 Mrs. A Wife 👉 Miguel’s Babe 👉 Evil Wench 👉 ...and many more I can't post on LinkedIn Yes, they were real. And yes, our clients were horrified they’d been spending budget on them. It’s a funny reminder that behind every dataset is real money — and sometimes fake people. If you want to uncover how much waste might be hiding in your own lists, I'll spot you a free data audit. DM me or sign up here: https://bit.ly/4oBACiX You’ll get real savings… and maybe a laugh or two. #DataQuality #MarketingData #MarketingHumor #DataDrivenMarketing

AI isn’t replacing marketers. It’s replacing average ones. The ones who rely on surface-level metrics. Who don’t question data. Who expect automation to think for them. The best marketers are learning how to feed AI, not fear it. Because the future of performance isn’t “set and forget.” It’s “train and interpret.” The winners are the ones who combine machine efficiency with human intuition. AI can optimise, but it can’t understand your customer. That’s still our job. #AI #PerformanceMarketing #DigitalStrategy #Leadership

I’ve done ad reporting to clients in so many ways over the years… - Google Sheets (manual, tedious, easily breaks) - Looker Studio (powerful, but the setup is a pain) - google Data Studio - Custom-built dashboards (expensive & time-consuming) But the one tool I keep coming back to is DashThis. 1️⃣ Super Simple Setup Connect all your data (LinkedIn Ads, Google, organic, etc.) in a few clicks. No messing around with API connections or third-party connectors. 2️⃣ Beautiful, Branded Dashboards in Minutes Set up a polished, client-ready dashboard in under 20 minutes. Save it as a template and instantly replicate it for new clients. 3️⃣ Way More Affordable Than You Think Looker Studio is free—but if you need more than 3 data sources, you’ll need Supermetrics ($159+ per account). Give it a go for your clients, here is a free trial link: https://shorturl.at/wrIrC ---- p.s. If you are struggling with making LinkedIn ads work for you, I am doing free audits at the moment. Marketers: here’s how to find half a million brand-new shoppers in your category. Clearly, persuading somebody who has never bought toilet roll to buy your brand of toilet roll is far easier than persuading someone who buys your competitor’s to switch. The biggest migration of humans in the UK happens every September, when 500,000 students leave their family homes to embark on university life. Virtually every category is new to somebody who has just moved out of their parents’ home for the first time! At Dig In, we work with some of the biggest brands in the world to help them build a 12-month relationship with half a million new shoppers that lasts a lifetime. Not only does it help your brand, but it shuts out competitor brands from accessing this valuable audience. We deliver your physical brand samples into the dorms of university students - directly into their bedrooms - from their first day at university and right the way through the year. The journey starts with a welcome bag on their very first day and continues with digital comms via email, CTV, OOH, Display, and Mobile. 💬 Drop me a connection request note if you would like to learn more about putting your brand into the hands of half a million brand-new shoppers. Most tools compare brands as a whole. But brands compete by category. I was constantly frustrated with competitive data from tools like Semrush or SimilarWeb. Good for trends, but not enough insights to really understand a specific market. I wanted research data that matched our exact focus, combined with business insights and consistent over time. So we built a structure that starts from the seed we define: the brands, categories and products we actually care about. The data comes directly from the Google API and is organized by clear rules. The result is a view of real consumer search intent by category, brand, and funnel stage, consistent month after month and easy to interpret. #marketresearch #searchdata #climbinsearch #digitalclimbers

When we rebuilt our marketing tech stack this past year, Digioh was the first pillar of that change to build around. To give a customer a personalized omni-channel experience, you have to start by identifying them. In the spring, we have 8 different fabrications of polos that fall under 4 different groups, and on top of that, we have pockets on some and no pockets on the other. We wanted to get a guided shopping experience to help simplify this process for customers. The Digioh quiz did just that. With the success of the quiz, we added on the Digioh Identification Suite. It gives us the ability to actually see how many customers we’re identifying on the site, and it gives us the ability to curate personalized experiences for the customers we do identify. Free-shipping banners change by loyalty tier. Pop-ups adapt based on email or SMS status. Product recommendations reflect what each visitor actually cares about. We do all of this with Digioh products and Klaviyo segments to target customers. This process is how we were able to personalize every touchpoint and make it easier to tailor the experience of returning customers and encourage them to come back. Since making that change this year, Criquet has seen a 172% lift in conversions and a 97x ROI. The raw numbers here don’t cover the experience I’ve personally had working with the team at Digioh. The support team helps teach you the product, not just completing requests for you. They are always willing to try something new if we ask. Every single person at every level of the company is kind and incredibly knowledgeable. I’m really proud of this partnership and looking forward to building more with the team at Digioh Check out the full feature on what we've done here: https://lnkd.in/gitNPSEH

LinkedIn paid for my kids’ private school. No joke. LinkedIn — literally funds everything in my life! I know that sounds pretentious and "bougie", but it's true. It paid for my kids’ private school (they got the gift of dyslexia from my genes... and the public school system was not equipped to help them) thankfully, LinkedIn marketing works! LinkedIn will even pay for their university. This platform takes care of my wife, my kids, and my extended family. I even took my extended family on an all-paid-for trip this year. No investors. No debt. No grants. No viral moment. No “overnight success.” Just a solid, cash-flowing business built on three things: 1) Consistent short-form content posted on LinkedIn 2) Boosting that content with LinkedIn ads. 3) Drive them to DMs, ladder to long-form content which drives -> sales! That’s it. I practice what I preach. (Unlike many other fake marketing gurus). That formula built my business. And it’s helped over 250 other founders do the same. Now, of course, the devil is in the details. It’s not hard to build but it’s nuanced. I'm feeling super generous, so I am making my online course 100% free. I have 93 hours of training, SOPs, and swipe files all in this course. Nothing is held back. LinkedIn is a goldmine for b2B businesses. If you want access to my course, then: 1) Like this post 2) Send me DM with the word: course PS - ensure you have connected with me first.

Patagonia never needed slogans. It built an empire on values everyone else tried to rent. Activism sits in its supply chain, not its hashtags. That’s brand power done right 👍
