J'ai décroché mon plus gros contrat (+30k) grâce à Formula NOW.

Took on a grease services company earlier this year. Family business, 50+ years old, never ran ads. 6 months later: 👇 229 leads $72 cost per lead 284% growth from month one to month six. We built the tracking, ran Google and Meta ads, but the boring truth? Most of it was just grinding through the details - negative keywords, geographic targeting, sorting out their call tracking system... No magic formula. Just consistent work and fixing what wasn't working. Case study link below if you want the full breakdown. https://lnkd.in/emtfDMYy

I flew to Scotland in October with a gun in my hand and a full inbox in my head. I came back a different person. Pitlochry in autumn is something else. Mist sitting low over the Highlands. The kind of silence that makes you realise how loud your normal life actually is. We were hunting mixed game. Pheasant. Grouse. The occasional surprise. And within the first hour, I made every rookie mistake possible. I moved too fast. I rushed my shot. I was thinking three steps ahead instead of being present in the one moment that actually mattered. I missed. Every. Single. Time. Then our ghillie said something I haven't stopped thinking about since. "The game doesn't come to the impatient. You don't chase it. You position yourself well, you read the conditions, and you wait for the right moment. Then you move with complete conviction." I stood there in the Scottish hills at 8am, mud on my boots, and felt like I'd just been handed a masterclass in business. Because how many times have we rushed a pitch before the client was ready? Launched a campaign before the creative was right? Pushed for the close when the timing was completely off? The best opportunities I've had in business — the best clients, the best results — never came from chasing. They came from positioning well, reading the moment, and moving decisively when the time was right. Patience isn't passive. It's one of the most active, disciplined things you can practise. Pitlochry taught me that. So did missing a lot of pheasants and partridges. What's the best lesson you've taken from somewhere completely outside of work? 👇 #Leadership #BusinessMindset #Entrepreneurship #PersonalGrowth #Marketing #ExterMedia #Scotland #Pitlochry

Most brands can't afford to stay faceless anymore. Social media used to be about announcements. But somewhere along the way, it became about trust, and audiences started caring much less about faceless brands. Instead, everyone started wanting to hear from the people making the big decisions. CEOs and founders became their company's most trusted voice. That trend has never reversed. If anything, it's become the expectation. Customers, employees, investors, and future hires all want to hear directly from leadership. And sure, a few brands are strong enough to be the voice themselves. Lamborghini, Arc'teryx, and Tesla still command attention on their names alone. But most companies don't have that kind of pull, and for them, the leader is a much more efficient way to earn trust. That idea - that people trust people over brands - has been the through line between every company I've built. My first, StoryBox, ran on the belief that brand advertising will never earn trust like a human. Now, Executive Presence is that same belief, evolved. Last year, we tested it against 33 million impressions from executives, and the data backed it up. One of my favorite examples - a post written by a leader reaches 5x more people than anything they reshare. If there's one thing social media has done over the last 15 years, it's brought leaders closer and closer to the people they serve.

Marketing measurement is going through a historic reset. The attribution software market is set to quadruple from $3B → $13B and it’s not by accident. If you want to understand why modern marketing feels harder and why budgets are under more scrutiny than ever, it all starts here. Here are 5 reasons driving this massive shift: 1. Privacy changes broke the playbook When Apple introduced App Tracking Transparency (ATT), it broke the traditional performance marketing playbook. Brands lost the ability to reliably connect clicks to purchases, forcing them to adopt privacy-resilient ways to measure impact. 2. Buyer journeys are messier than ever The "last-click" era worked when the journey was simple. Today, a buyer might hear about you on a podcast, see you on Instagram, get a friend’s recommendation, and finally Google you weeks later. Tools like GA4 weren’t built for this chaotic, multi-touch world. The result? Marketers dramatically under or over-credit channels, creating misaligned budgets and wasted spend. Without proper attribution, brands end up flying blind, guessing which touchpoints really drive conversions. 3. ROI pressure is higher than ever In an era where CFOs scrutinize every line item, marketers are under intense pressure to show direct ROI from their programs. Strong attribution can help transform marketing from a perceived cost center into a strategic growth engine which is critical if you want to keep budgets (and your seat at the table). 4. Multi-channel is the new normal Modern marketing isn’t about one channel; it’s about creating an ecosystem of touchpoints across paid, organic, influencer, events, and more. Attribution software like Fairing helps brands understand how these channels work together (and which combinations actually drive revenue. 5. Advanced modeling is going mainstream Approaches like marketing mix modeling (MMM), once reserved for big-budget consumer brands, are now becoming accessible and essential for growth-stage companies too. Why? They provide a macro-level view of channel effectiveness without relying on user-level tracking, which is increasingly restricted. Teams are getting savvier, moving beyond platform metrics to understand true incremental lift. So what does this mean? You can’t win today’s attention war with guesswork. You also can’t rely on outdated models or vanity metrics anymore. It’s about building a measurement strategy that’s as modern and dynamic as your buyers. One that helps you confidently defend budgets, prioritize channels, and prove real impact. Adapt or watch your marketing dollars (and budget) disappear. How confident are you with your current measurement stack?

Not all customer acquisition channels are created equal. Marketers often obsess over conversion rates and CAC, but what about AOV?? Using Fairing's post-purchase survey data, we analyzed 30 marketing channels to see which ones attract customers who spend more. Here are the results: ✅ Premium customer channels: - AI Assistants (ChatGPT, etc.): +10% Higher AOV - Subscription Boxes: +10% Higher AOV (is this surprising to anyone else?) 🟡 The baseline: - Word of Mouth, Google Search, TV, and Radio all hover right around the average. They are reliable, but not bringing in premium spenders. 🔻 The "Bargain Hunters" channels: - Facebook & TikTok: -3% Lower AOV - Email/SMS: -4% Lower AOV - Pinterest & Outdoor Ads: -5% to -6% Lower AOV TLDR: Some of your highest-volume channels (like popular social media platforms) might be attracting lower-value first-time buyers. Meanwhile, niche or high-intent channels are quietly delivering more profitable customers. TAKEAWAY → Don't treat all conversions equally: A 10% higher AOV can have a massive impact on your margins and LTV. → Rethink your budget allocation: Your most "efficient" channel by CAC might not be your most profitable. The real magic happens when you look at both the quantity and quality of your customers. The difference between a –4% and a +10% AOV channel might look small on paper, but at scale it’s the difference between breaking even and building a profit engine. P.S. Are you seeing similar results in your marketing channels?

If someone is on the fence about trying fatjoe. I tell them this: Go to Trustpilot, ShopperApproved and Google Reviews, and filter to the worst reviews. We have 1000+ 5 star reviews across all major platforms, but I invite you to judge us from the worst experiences users have had and how we’ve resolved them. If you’re still willing to give us a try, buy just 1-2 items (backlinks, content, citations or whatever you’re interested in). We have zero contracts, or commitment, or min order. You can just buy online without speaking to a soul. Also try a competitor or two at the same time if it’s convenient. Assess speed, quality, value for money, customer support and of course how well the process fits into your workflow. If you like the experience, place bigger orders as regular as you want. Again, never any contracts or commitments. We’ll remain in the “dating phase” for life. If you don’t like the experience, email [email protected] and we’ll refund with zero questions asked - within 12-24 hours, and no hard feelings whatsoever.

Liquid Death sells... water. But they became a $1.4B brand by making water death metal. The product? Anyone could make it. The secret? The ads. Here’s how they did it — and how your ads can do the same 👇 In the beginning, Liquid Death was just water in a can in a crowded category: Bubly, AHA, Perrier, La Croix. All selling water, hydration, health, recyclability. So how did Liquid Death break through? They flipped the script. Instead of “healthy + refreshing,” they sold: - Death-metal branding - Skulls and flames - Taglines like “Murder Your Thirst” - Ads that felt more like Jackass than Perrier They were edgy, fun, and impossible to ignore. The results? Fans wore the merch Bars stocked it like beer Celebs sipped it on podcasts And all of the sudden "death metal water" has a $1.4 B valuation. The lesson: Your product probably doesn’t have to change as much as you think. BUT your message probably does. Liquid Death didn’t win because they had “better” water. They won because their ads and messaging conveyed something that people thought was fun and that they wanted to share! However, for most small businesses and brand, ads are daunting. —They feel expensive... Hiring an agency or testing media spend is hard if your pockets aren't deep. —They feel slow. Weeks of A/B testing just to find the message that resonates with one of your audiences. (See expensive again!) —And for a lot of small business: Risky! You may not have all the data you want to know exactly who you are trying to resonate with! That’s why finding your Liquid Death moment can feel impossible. That’s where Extuitive comes in. ⚡️ Extuitive helps you: ✅ Generate ad copy, images, videos, and pricing instantly ✅ Validate every variation with AI consumers modelled on 100K real buyers ✅ Analyze TikTok, Reddit, Amazon signals to surface winning angles ✅ Launch smarter ads in 2 minutes vs. 2 weeks All without wasting a dollar on test ads. The results? 🚀 Ads that resonate 📈 Higher engagement + CTR 💰 ~1000× cheaper than traditional consumer panels ✅ Data-backed confidence before you launch You don’t have to guess your next angle. You just have to check before you launch. Your next big win isn’t reinventing the wheel. It’s finding the right message. 👉 https://www.extuitive.com Smarter ads. Faster launches. Better ROI.

Users are flocking away from the blue bird — but where to next? We've received a lot of questions from folks navigating their next steps after Twitter/X has gone from town hall to minefield. Here are some thoughts on what to consider for your social media strategy: https://lnkd.in/gNwWspW4 Personally, I am spending more time on LinkedIn. My wife and I started Catseye Pest Control with nothing but each other and the refusal to quit. I built it crawling through attics and crawlspaces after spending a year in a wheelchair. Not because of luck because of grit, discipline, and showing up every single day. This wasn't built in perfect conditions. It was built through pain, pressure, discomfort, and the obsession to create something bigger than ourselves. If you want to build something real, understand this: success comes from sacrifice, resilience, work ethic, and showing up on the hard days. I shared the full story at Catseye Pest Control 40th anniversary. I wasn't planning to get this personal but I think the hard stuff is worth saying out loud. If you're going through something hard right now, I hope this helps.

$24,072.87 in deposits in 1 week. $351,428 next month. Lucky Bet was the first company to use our brand new "Reactivation Agent." As a test we used the agent to message 2740 of their users that hadn't bet for over 6 months. As you can see, they did pretty good. They just TRIPPLED their spend with us so they can hit up 40,000 users next month. They'll make $351,428 next month if the conversion doesn't improve. Want to try the Reactivation Agent? So we're human, we are always going to be searching for answers, and for that matter, so are machines. Opinions change, research develops, and the world goes on. Where opinions live and affect outcomes is another story. That is always evolving. So protect your brand with good outputs of service and products, but be wise about making everyone know who needs to know. Who needs to know? Well, that is what I'm talking about today.

This week, I want to talk about a word that I think describes marketing right now better than almost anything else. That word is paradox. A paradox is when two things seem like they should not both be true, but they are. And if you are a business owner or a marketing decision-maker right now, you are probably feeling this everywhere. AI is making marketing faster, but strategy matters more than ever. We have more data, but it is harder to see the full picture. We can create more content, but people are craving real human trust. Search is happening everywhere, but that does not mean your business needs to be everywhere. Automation can save time, but too much automation can make people feel unseen. And marketing tools are promising clarity, while sometimes creating even more confusion. That is the reality of modern marketing. It is not linear because people are not linear. So today, we are talking about the paradoxes of marketing in the age of AI, why they exist, and what business owners should do about them.

I want people to know what it truly takes to pull through adversity and build something that lasts. I didn’t start with money, comfort, or an easy path. I started with nothing but a willingness to work, sacrifice, and keep going when quitting would have been easier. The home service business I’ve built is becoming more than a company, it’s becoming a legacy. But that legacy wasn’t created by clocking out at 5 o’clock, avoiding long weekends, or choosing convenience over commitment. It was built in the field. It was built through late nights, early mornings, missed moments, hard lessons, and the kind of pain most people never see. It came from crawling, scratching, and fighting my way forward when there was no guarantee it would work. I believe anyone who wants a sustained career, a real business, or a lasting impact has to understand sacrifice. Success requires more than talent. It requires endurance. It requires humility. It requires being willing to do what others won’t do, especially when no one is watching. My hope now is to inspire and mentor upcoming entrepreneurs who have that same hunger. People who are willing to go through the hard parts, not run from them. Because if you can endure the pain, stay committed to the process, and keep showing up when it’s difficult, you can build something that not only changes your life, but outlives you. That’s the kind of legacy I’m building. And that’s the kind of mindset I want to pass on.
