The opening of private markets to a wider investor base presents a major new opportunity in our industry. It is a structural market shift we approach carefully, but one in which we are well positioned to succeed. For most of our industry's history, private markets have been the preserve of institutions: pension funds, insurers and sovereign wealth funds. Now, that’s changing, with product innovation and regulatory progress making private markets more accessible to a wider investor base. The capital that could flow in as a result is substantial. At Ardian, we’ve been building to this since 2020, when we launched our dedicated Private Wealth Solutions initiative. Today, it represents more than 10% of our AUM and nearly 15% of the capital we raised in 2025. Our Ardian Access product family, launched in 2023 and raising around $2 billion in the last six months, is proof that the right products, distributed through the right channels, can unlock this opportunity at scale. When Dominique Senequier and I took time to reflect on Ardian’s performance in 2025, we didn’t start with numbers. We started with how we’ve built this firm. Over more than 30 years, Ardian has grown organically, brick by brick, without a single acquisition. In an industry often shaped by consolidation, this path remains a deliberate choice and a true differentiator. That discipline is rooted in a culture and an investment philosophy we have never compromised: conservative, careful, and focused on creating sustainable value for all stakeholders. It’s this consistency that has allowed Ardian to cross important milestones, including surpassing $200 billion in assets under management at the end of last year. In a world shaped by geopolitical uncertainty, AI-driven transformation, and a complex liquidity environment, I believe Ardian’s diversified and disciplined approach has never been more relevant. Across Infrastructure, Buyout, Secondaries and Private Credit, our long-term strategy continues to deliver attractive outcomes for our LPs.

I've been meeting with a lot of VSaaS leaders who started with a simple payments add-on. It was an easy first step to complete their offering and bring in extra revenue. But now, many are running into the same issues: • Customers want more features • Adoption is low • Usage is dropping • Revenue isn’t growing When your platform reaches a certain scale, basic payments just aren’t enough. Your customers expect a 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 that helps them collect faster, grow their own business, and stay loyal to yours. Your customers won’t wait for you to catch up—someone else will give them what they want. One of the most rewarding and fun parts of my job is that I get the chance to meet with really smart people who are experts in their field. With our push to go beyond simple embedded payments into a full suite of Embedded AR, I keep hearing the same themes from those smart people who are building the next wave of Vertical SaaS solutions: 👉 In EdTech it’s about giving students and parents a way to manage the complex world of tuition, fees, financial aid, due dates and scheduled payments 👉 For the GovTech teams, citizens need an easy way to manage taxes, permits, utilities and fees – fully integrated with their core citizen services. 👉 And for the PropTech innovators, they want to turn a simple utility for collecting HOA fees, rent and ancillary charges into a compelling self-service tool for residents and a robust revenue management platform for property owners. The common thread? They’ve outgrown their payments provider. What they want isn’t just payment acceptance. They want a partner who can deliver more - more receivables functionality, deeper industry experience, stronger support, a richer experience for both the end user and the provider. That’s exactly what we’ve created and who we are - and I’m energized by the opportunity to accelerate growth for both our clients and their customers.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗜 𝗵𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗔𝗧𝗠 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲𝘀? At risk of dating myself, not every professional options trader out there has access to the live and accurate portfolio greeks and execution algorithms they need to automatically achieve an optimal delta. At Allasso, we believe in enabling humans in the markets. Below, we compare and combine classic delta-hedging strategies that can be applied by the rest of us. We test our hedge strategies in Brent oil against a short, front month ATM straddle that rolls on a monthly basis. We assume execution at settlement prices, using the actual underlying future. We run this using Allasso’s low-level, iterative Python backtester, Pulse. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗮 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗜 𝗵𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲? We’re testing four different measurements of delta: -Black Scholes Delta, settlement IV -Quickdelta, settlement IV -Black Scholes Delta, reduced settlement IV -Quickdelta, reduced settlement IV -Black Scholes Delta, historical mean settlement IV -Quickdelta, historical mean settlement IV 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗜 𝗵𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲? We are testing calendar- and delta-limit-based rebalancing of the hedge position -Daily and weekly hedge frequency -Delta limit for options delta 𝗡𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰 Allasso Pulse is a low-level Python coding environment that users can access via hosted workspaces. It puts no limits on the trading logic and gives full access to market data (i.e., implied vols) and strategy state (i.e., delta) throughout the backtest. Any combination of “what” and “when” can be tested. 𝗛𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁—𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀? In 𝗙𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝟭, the mean values are simply the arithmetic average of the previous 5 observations, which includes the previous straddle deltas. The implied-volatility-reduced ones are based on the last observed implied volatility, minus a 15% haircut. 𝗘𝘆𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 Let’s look at delta-based methods in 𝗙𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝟮. Weekly denotes every 5th business day after entry or previous re-hedge. Conditional means whenever the options delta exceeds +- 15% of the initial trade size. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀, 𝘃𝗼𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 From the ranking of deltas and frequencies, we would expect to see the best hedge performance from daily hedging of mean-based deltas (𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝟯). 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗽𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗮 Sifting through all results, it's clear that hedging a rolling average window of delta works the best. 𝗙𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝟰 shows this in the context of unhedged and standard daily hedge, and not vol-normalised. Even without live greeks and automatic execution, the results are far from bad. 50,000 orders. 50,000 payments. One deposit lands in your account. That is what Nathan Garing described in Episode 3. The money comes back batched. One deposit from Shopify. One from Klarna. One from Afterpay. One from PayPal. Each one bundling thousands of orders net of fees, chargebacks and refunds. Matching that back by hand would take twenty or thirty people. A full day. Every day. "A single booking has many different flows." Uwe van Rensburg in Episode 2 walking through what happens after the click. Modifications. Cancellations. Extensions. Post-trip events. Disputes. Claims. The kind of thing most ERPs treat as exceptions. In a marketplace at 100,000 bookings a year, the exceptions are the norm. A booking is not a transaction. It is a tree. The architecture either tracks the tree, or it doesn't. Every dealer group I worked with had an acquisition checklist. Almost none had an accounting processes chapter. So, the back office became the part of the merger nobody planned for, and the gaps weren’t discovered until the first month-end when two sets of books had to become one. It doesn’t have to go that way. Bringing a new rooftop’s financials onto the same footing as the rest of the group can be a known, repeatable step instead of a fire drill. If there’s another deal in your pipeline, or you're working through the aftermath of a recent one, read on. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/gbfBhCUN

The fastest-growing groups are not the ones with the easiest acquisitions. They're the ones that turned “merge the back office” from a heroic effort into a routine one. Ten years running accounting for a 35-rooftop group taught me the difference isn’t talent or effort. It’s whether a new store’s financial data can be brought onto the group’s standard quickly, or whether someone has to rebuild it by hand every single time. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gvr3nuH3

A realidade?

There has been a lot of discussion about large, established VC funds moving away from the traditional model (rollups, buyouts, secondaries etc). I personally think it’s inevitable that there will be movement here, but that doesn’t mean the power law rules for funds like 7percent do not still apply. We have and will continue to focus on the moonshot opportunities. AI is hungry. Datacenters are incredibly energy intensive today. The hyper scale datacenters designed to meet the extreme computing and storage needs of companies like Google, Amazon, and Microsoft use up to 200MW, enough to power 150,000 homes. For years, I’ve heard a persistent belief that core banking migrations fail because the technology isn’t up to the task. The evidence tells a different story. In our latest 10x Banking survey, we asked leaders in the midst of migration, or who have successfully delivered these programmes, what really determines success. The answer was clear and consistent with what I’ve seen in my own banking career. It’s not the technology. It’s executive alignment and delivery capability. When leadership is aligned and the organisation executes with discipline, even the most complex transformations become achievable and repeatable. That’s why we’ve published How to Migrate to a 4th-Generation Core Banking Platform. It’s a practical guide for executives: the migration approaches to consider and the critical questions to get right. The cost of standing still is now outpacing the risk of change. For those ready to move from debate to delivery, this is where to start. Read the report: https://bit.ly/42v5RmM

If you were skydiving, would you check your parachute before or after you jump? This is a photo of me on my first skydive adventure on my 20th birthday (yes, I have skydived multiple times........... 2 😎) Too many pre-retirees wait until they're already at the door before they decide to pack the parachute. That allows fear and the "what ifs" to take over the mind. Plan and prepare well in advance so you can "jump" into retirement with confidence. And think of me as your tandem instructor.
