Ok this one's fun to share. Revive is on Qualified Remodeler's 2026 Top 500 list 🎉 We're sitting at #119! While our job goes far beyond the remodel — we plan and manage the whole renovation for homeowners, who pay nothing until it's complete. We still landed on a list next to some of the biggest home improvement companies in the country. Huge congrats to the whole team on this one. Proud of what we've built and even more excited for what's next!

🥂 This is a special milestone for our team. Revive has been named the 2026 Overall Home Improvement Company of the Year by PropTech Breakthrough! It's an honor, but more importantly, it's a reflection of the people who have made this possible. To our team, thank you for showing up every day with a genuine commitment to helping homeowners. To our agent partners, thank you for trusting us to be an extension of your business and your client experience. And to every homeowner who has chosen Revive, thank you for putting your trust in us during one of the biggest financial decisions of your life. Since day one, our mission has been simple: help homeowners make smarter decisions and unlock the full potential of their homes. Every product we've built, every renovation we've completed, and every partnership we've formed has been in pursuit of that goal. We're grateful for the recognition, but even more grateful for the opportunity to keep building. Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey. The future starts at home.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 A question I was asked recently: with hybrid now part of how we work, does location still matter as much? I’d argue it matters more. If people are coming into the office fewer days each week, those days need to be worth the commute. CBRE’s latest Australian occupier survey backs that up: 83% of occupiers still prioritise location, while 77% point to better amenity and services when considering a move. That’s something I think about a lot as an operator. The office is no longer just somewhere you go because you have to. The building, transport, food, amenity and everything around it all form part of the experience. It’s one reason I’m particularly excited about our new Industrious location at 1 Elizabeth Street, Martin Place, opening in October. For me, the workplaces that win will be the ones people actually choose to come into. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐭. #industriousapac #industrious #cbre #coworking #workspace #networking

👉 Læs artiklen her: https://lnkd.in/daE2WSnQ

When I spoke with Paul Essery on The Tech Business Podcast, we talked about some of the challenges the industry faces, one being the misconception of auction. In almost every other category, auction is seen as a good thing, and a way to maximise value. Think of classic cars or fine art! But in the property sector, it is still a bit of a dirty word and widely misunderstood. We know from experience that auction can maximise value and we have seen it across our own portfolio. At iamproperty, we are challenging those misconceptions because in today’s market, auction isn’t a last resort, it’s the smarter way forward. It delivers security, speed and transparency for buyers, sellers and the sector alike. #housebuying #auctions #iamproperty

🔗 Læs hele indlægget her: https://lnkd.in/dyWjcxuK #Byggeri #Digitalisering #Fremtid

The dust is settling on what’s been a momentous week for the UK’s residential property market. The government’s proposed reforms to the homebuying process have sparked major debate with many agreeing it’s a step in the right direction. But while reform is welcome, the sector needs action now to rebuild confidence, remove friction. Ben and I have been saying for a long time that the UK home buying process is broken, read our joint letter on what we think needs to be done make the market fit for the future.

Hi In modular construction, it is tempting to think that the system will solve the building. An ideal process: Define the placement and massing → define the modules → configure the windows and roof → configure the technical systems → done. Not so fast. Manufaktuuri Kindergarten has been a good reminder that this is only half true. A modular system can reduce complexity. It can give the project a clear structural logic. It can make many decisions more repeatable. But it does not remove the need for architectural judgement. A kindergarten is not just a collection of modules. It is a very specific environment for children, teachers, parents, maintenance staff, and the city around it. The site matters. The context matters. The client preferences matter. The relationship between group rooms and outdoor space matters. Daylight, acoustics, fire safety, kitchens, technical rooms, circulation, and everyday use all matter. This is where the role of the architect becomes more important, not less. For me, the lesson is simple: We should not use modular systems to automate architecture. We should use them to give architects better starting points, clearer constraints, and more time for the decisions that actually shape quality. This is also how I increasingly see our Modular Designer. Not as an automatic building generator, but as a structured design framework for reusable buildings. The aim is not to serialise the building. The aim is to serialise the parts of the process that should not be reinvented every time — so that each project can still respond properly to its site, users, and purpose. In modular construction, MEP is often where the clean logic of the building system becomes complicated. This image is from the BIM model of Manufaktuuri kindergarten, designed using the 3Cycle modular timber system. It shows something that is easy to underestimate: pipes, ducts, cables, shafts, and service zones form their own spatial system inside the building. For me, the interesting question is not only how to coordinate MEP in BIM. The more fundamental question is: How do we find good routes for technical systems in the first place? In modular buildings, routing is constrained by many things at once: • structural frames and beams • module boundaries • ceiling build-ups • shaft locations • wet-room clusters • gradients and bend radii • fire and acoustic zones • factory assembly logic • maintenance access • future disassembly and reuse One approach is to define fixed service corridors and strict routing rules - an expert system based on rules-of-thumb. Another is to use graph-based pathfinding, where the building becomes a network of possible routes and constraints. But I keep coming back to my earlier PhD work on multiagent systems. What if pipes, ducts, and cables were treated as agents searching for optimal paths through a constrained modular building environment? Each mobile agent would have its own goal: connect point A to point B, avoid structural conflicts, minimise length, respect slopes, reduce crossings, stay accessible, and avoid zones that compromise future disassembly. The question then becomes less about drawing MEP routes manually, and more about defining the environment, constraints, penalties, and behaviours that allow good routes to emerge. This could be especially relevant for modular construction, where the building system already has repeatable logic. So I am curious to learn from engineers, BIM specialists, computational designers, and modular builders: Do you deploy algorithmic thinking when routing for pipes, ducts, and cables? If yes, then what kind of? Do you see more potential in rule-based routing, graph search, agent-based methods, BIM automation, or simply better predefined service zones? And where does this become useful in practice, early concept design, BIM coordination, factory production, or all of the above?

I've gone from taking photos of toilets to talking about them on stage; the session I'm talking on is called 'The £10million Toilet Roll' and it looks at how the most overlooked corner of the workplace quietly costs firms a fortune, and what happens when you finally give people a way to report the small stuff before it becomes the big stuff. All puns intended. If you're leading workplace or FM in or for a law firm and tired of finding out about issues the hard way, come say hello. Imagine if you had a technology that allowed you to work 40% more than your competitors. That’s exactly why John Pierpont Morgan financed Thomas Edison’s company and made sure that Morgan himself was the first to enjoy electricity. Morgan, a wealthy banker, was the first private resident to enjoy electricity back in the 1880s. He had it installed in his Madison Avenue brownstone mansion in 1882. At the time, many were afraid to get electricity in their homes (but only the rich could afford it). People were terrified that the lightbulbs would explode or the wires would spontaneously catch fire! It was seen as a silly gimmick, not a practical household amenity. But Morgan disagreed. Along with the New York Times building, JP Morgan’s offices downtown were among the first to be lit up, along with just a few other customers. Morgan took advantage and worked through the night for years after, securing his spot as one of the richest men in the world. Interestingly, JP Morgan the company is building a new skyscraper at 270 Park Avenue that will be the city’s first all-electric tower when it’s completed next year.

One thing people who live in mild climates probably don’t understand: Why do so many buildings in cold cities have windows open when it’s freezing outside?! The answer has to do with the technology installed in those buildings. Most buildings in the world (including brand new buildings!) operate on technology that literally was designed in the 1970s. This technology has no idea what the temperature is inside of the building, or how the building has responded to heat in the past, or even what the weather will be like one hour from now. The result is buildings are running on timers that have to be programmed to WAY overshoot. This means buildings blast way too much heat and tenants have to open their windows to balance out the boiling indoors temperatures. Of course, this is ridiculously inefficient since the building keeps generating excess heat that immediately escapes out the window. If only buildings had a smarter way to monitor energy output and balance it to create a comfortable temperature while cutting down waste (coincidentally, we do this at Runwise!)

Over the past decade, Guesty has helped 20,000+ short-term rental operators scale from chaos to clarity. And one thing has become obvious: Operators don’t fail because of lack of demand. They fail because of owner churn, operational chaos, or missed revenue. To help more teams avoid that fate, we compiled insights from 700+ operators into one diagnostic: → The 2025 STR Pulse Report It’s a breakdown of what’s really working for top-performing property managers across categories like: 1. If your estate agency website is slow, clunky, or hard to use, you’re losing instructions. And that's before a prospect even calls. Long gone are the days when your agency website was just a digital brochure. Now it’s your most important branch. The best agents I see make their website work harder in four ways: 1. They optimise for mobile – over 60% of visitors arrive on their phone. If your site doesn’t load fast and look sharp on mobile, you’ll annoy potential customers. 2. They capture leads clearly – make valuation tools, enquiry forms, and registrations easy to find and simple to use. 3. They think beyond Google – AI platforms and voice search mean customers often land directly on deep pages. Every page must build trust and encourage action. 4. They join up their systems – a good website integrates with your lead management, your CRM or marketing tools so nothing falls through the cracks. Your physical branch has fixed hours. Your website works 24/7. Treat it like the branch it really is, the one that never closes.
