Long before fame and flashing lights, artists find their voice in spaces like this: intimate venues built with care for creators and community alike. The Argo, a new 700-cap venue opening in Milwaukee, is one of those spaces: artist-first, locally rooted, and designed for connection on and off the stage. In my latest newsletter, I spoke with co-founder Andrew Coate about what it takes to build the future of live music from the ground up. 🎸 Read it here ⬇️
- Cyberdrone Drone ShowsSince 30 Apr 2026
Cyberdrone Drone Shows made #Eurovision shine. But what the audience saw for 17 minutes was built on months of groundwork: local teams, offices, drones, logistics, permissions, coordination, and control. When you’re in the region, you don’t need to adapt to complexity, you just manage it. And for projects at this scale, that matters.
- Cyberdrone Drone ShowsSince 2 May 2026
Cyberdrone Drone Shows brought #Eurovision into the sky above Vienna. 3,000 drones forming the Eurovision symbol over Schönbrunn Palace. A city-scale moment that was seen far beyond the venue.

New Genre Bending, Hyper-Charged, Post Punk, Mind-Arena Energy-Music Score Work with ProdCo and BigTime Creative Shop for Riyadh Season starring KSI, Speed, and Mr Beast. ‘Try Not To Enjoy It’ is directed by Gibson Hazard (the hyper charged visual alchemist behind projects for Drake, The Weeknd, and Travis Scott) this one’s pure adrenaline that never lets up The score needed to convey the escalations in competition, while playing to the contrasts between the highest levels of elegant, gentlemanly competition and extreme, adrenaline-inducing mind arena sprints. And also needed to lean into the humor in a cool way The score swings from prime-time sports face-off energy into new no waves of proto post-punk, then smashes through thx 80s synthwave territory into tension scored skewed Nolan-esque, wrong-prize-Oscar-meme story within a story theatrics. A Cy Dune-coded punk spirit layered with orchestral Oscar fanfare at the end before the back flip reality rug pull Elegant vs unhinged Cinematic chaos, big energy, humor that plays it straight but ridiculous, and music that feels like three genres colliding in slow motion. Hazard’s frame demands a soundtrack that is both architecture and explosion The music lives in that tension. Music, SFX, VO Record & Mix by Consortium. Nature Valley // “We Make Nature Delicious" created by The Martin Agency and directed by Ulf Johansson (Smith and Jones Films, LA & London). A neurotic woodland fable about envy, longing, and granola bars. These animals have it all, nuts, berries, fish, friendship, but one look at a Nature Valley Crunchy Bar and the whole forest comes undone. We handled music, sound design, VO record, and mix on this campaign, building a full sonic world for these slightly unhinged woodland creatures. Musically, the goal was to channel their jealousy and yearning without losing the humor or heart. We explored everything from Morricone-inspired tension and Desplat meets Tennessee Ernie Ford woodland army marches to old-Hollywood nature waltzes and vintage ballads of heartbreak. Ultimately, the magic landed in an unexpected place, a warm, nostalgic, orchestrated soul palette that felt both cinematic and emotionally ridiculous in the best way. The kind of sound that draws you in with warmth and makes you empathize with a raccoon’s existential crisis. We recorded hyper-detailed macro SFX (real leaf crunches, claw scratches, bar snaps, and crumble textures) and built out warm lush environments to elicit a tactile sense of the forest and the food. Everything is mixed with precision and absurd sincerity, grounding the comedy in the sound of “too real.” VO was treated like a film performance, rich, cinematic, naturalistic and slightly melancholy, mixed warm to give the animals’ neurotic delivery a kind of strange human warmth. An entire sonic ecosystem of music, SFX, VO, and mix crafted to make you feel for some existentially confused puppets who just want some tasty snacks. At Calxa, we’ve spent over a decade helping Not-for-Profits and small businesses take control of their budgeting and cashflow forecasting and we know just how powerful the right tech stack can be. Here’s the tech stack we built that keep our own finance operations running smoothly and helped us scale: Mayday – Simplifies our intercompany recharges and keeps month end consistent. Airwallex – Makes international payments effortless, from Ukraine to Switzerland, with great approval workflows and virtual cards. Calxa – Our own software for consolidated reporting and 3-way forecasting across group accounts. WHMCS – Manages our subscriptions reliably (even if it’s not the prettiest!) — now fully integrated with Xero thanks to our team. Xero – The glue that holds it all together at the general ledger level. I shared the full story with CFO Techstack about how we built Calxa’s internal tech stack and how these tools help us scale — you can read it here: https://lnkd.in/gdSZ2-AE CFO Techstack Mayday

At TWIYO, we work with start-ups and scale-ups to help them navigate complex financial challenges and unlock their full potential. When it comes to building scalable finance functions, here’s the tech stack we typically recommend for early-stage businesses: Xero The glue that holds everything together at the general ledger level. Mayday: Automates intercompany processes; we’ve helped several clients select Mayday and the efficiency gains are significant. Employment Hero: Our go-to for payroll; it’s worth the early investment for long-term scalability. Fathom: Powerful for reporting and consolidations, with customisable dashboards and forecasting. Hubdoc: A simple, effective first step into automated data capture and AP for early-stage businesses. I shared the full story, including why these tools make such a difference for startups, in my How I Stacked It feature on CFO Techstack: https://lnkd.in/g4g6x8Xa One other thing I'll add is that getting comfortable and really good with a base set of tools is really important. Changing for only small or aesthetic benefits doesn't always outweigh mastery, especially when doing it at scale.

Today’s a big one for our team. We’ve just launched Nexgate, our new platform designed to help our partners make better decisions, faster. Dealerships have more information available to them than ever before. But turning that information into confident decisions quickly isn't always easy. Our team has built Nexgate to solve exactly this, bringing sourcing, inventory, pricing, customer engagement and insights all into one connected platform. The goal isn't more information. It's knowing the next best move. I'm incredibly proud of the team behind this launch and excited about what's ahead for our dealer and OEM partners. We've got a strong product roadmap ahead and plenty more to come. This is an important milestone, but it's only the start of what we're building with Nexgate. https://www.nexgate.ai/ carsales for Business #Nexgate #carsalesforbusiness

So what's the best Instagram metric to track? Hint: it's not comments. I hope you’re already focusing your IG content strategy on Reels and Carousels, but more specifically, maxing out WATCH TIME for Reels while optimizing for SAVES on Carousels. That's what Caliber's pushing right now—they're the media company behind this 36-page social media report with new analytics thinking, content prioritization strategies and 30+ examples of trending content formats (you're gonna wanna download the whole thing, link at the end of this post). The Watch Time + Saves focus makes a lotta sense when you think about it. The Instagram algorithm's doing its best to figure out what's actually valuable to scrollers. If someone watches a full Reel? That's probably valuable. If someone slaps the save button on a Carousel? That means it's so good they wanna come back to it later. Go grab that report right over here, it's got a bunch of content examples my millennial self hadn't seen yet: https://bit.ly/4nVhnA1

There’s something different about talking to founders; the passion is personal. It’s bigger than the bottom line; it’s the why. Last week I sat down with Jess Devenport co founder of Paintillio who along with her partner Lyssa Kayra Lyssa took a hand-drawn experiment at one event and turned it into something repeatable without losing the bespoke feel. For anyone who hasn’t seen it: Paintillio turns a photo or brand image into a collaborative paint-by-number mural guests build tile by tile. Think 400–600 tiles at registration, a steady stream of micro-interactions, and a finished piece that lives on after the show. What stood out to me was their approach, simple, thoughtful, and tested through real interactions. They paid attention to how people engaged, refined what worked, and kept the heart of it intact. And the roots matter; women-owned, built in BC, and connected to local artists and community projects. Like the Vancouver Mural Festival 2024 Street Party, winner of Best Event for a Community-Based Non-Profit at the 2025 Canadian Event Awards There’s intention behind everything they do, and you can feel it in the way people participate. #eventplanners : If you’ve worked with Paintillio, I'd love to hear how you incorporated this awesome experience into your event #events #eventprofs

The 4 BIGGEST trends in social media right now… FYI, this is all proven. Direct from Caliber’s new report, The Drop. 1. Saves are the new flex (I’ve been trying to tell you!) - On TikTok and IG, saves are the quiet signal that your content is valuable enough to revisit. - The report shows how saves correlate to wider reach. 2. Watch time beats views - YouTube and Reels are rewarding accounts who hold attention, not just win the click. - Average view duration is the new CTR. 3. Audience specific feeds >>> - Each feed has two jobs - Content for non-followers (views) & content for fans (saves + shares). - The report breaks down how to design for both. ☝️that’s a bar. I love this point. 4. Format > frequency - Industry deep dives, “if you like X” recs, lo-fi nostalgia. - Fashion brands are proving that format choice matters more than posting every day. When I was a Social Lead for Ralph Lauren, I would build these reports for work. They already did the work. If you run social and want your 2026 plan to get you a raise, grab The Drop. The upcoming midterms will be unlike any in recent history. The outcomes will shape domestic policy, international relations, and global perception of U.S. democracy. News organizations around the world are already mobilizing to cover what will be a high-stakes, high-scrutiny moment. At Broadcast Management Group, Inc., we have spent more than two decades producing election-cycle programming, town halls, convention coverage, Election Day and night broadcasts, and inaugurations for domestic and international broadcasters alike. One thing is clear: trusted production partners have never been more critical. As planning ramps up, the same questions surface every cycle: - Which states will be most influential? - Which candidates will resonate most with audiences? - What formats best serve the story? - How do we cover multiple cities consistently? - How do we support live programming under intense timelines and scrutiny? These are not theoretical questions. They are operational ones. We saw this firsthand while supporting Al Jazeera Network’s U.S. election town hall series. Over four weeks, the production moved city to city—Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, and Dearborn. Each stop required the same look, the same technical standards, and the same reliability, even as venues, crews, and local conditions changed weekly. That meant touring a custom-built set, managing lighting and video production, supporting live translation, and coordinating hundreds of crew members across multiple markets. To viewers, every broadcast felt identical. Same series. Different city. That is a realistic snapshot of what election coverage demands. The challenge is rarely about producing one show. The real test is whether you can: - Replicate a show across cities - Scale crews and infrastructure quickly - Maintain consistency under pressure - Adapt workflows without starting from scratch This is where centralized production models, REMI workflows, and experienced production management matter not as buzzwords, but as operational necessities. Election cycles compress timelines and raise the stakes. There is no margin for learning curves when the audience and the world is watching. As midterm planning accelerates, the question is not just who can produce the show, but who can carry it across markets, formats, and weeks without friction. That is the difference between a one-off production and an operation built for moments like these. See our Al Jazeera Case Study in the comments below👇

Získat a udržet pozornost publika.

There’s a noticeable shift happening at Black Hat MEA this year, not just in who’s attending, but how they’re showing up. • We’re seeing more global brands moving decisively into the Saudi Cybersecurity market. • More announcements planned. • More intent from buyers. • And a stronger push for visibility, not just presence. This isn’t about being seen for the sake of it. It’s about being recognized in the right rooms, by the right people. With brands like Fortinet, Google Cloud Security, and Trend Micro, and many more already confirmed, it’s clear the tone for 2025 is being set by the market leaders. If this shift resonates with how your team is thinking about visibility and market engagement, it’s something worth keeping an eye on. 🚀 Satellite to VOIP: The Biggest Shift in Broadcast You’re Not Talking About Yet The rise of REMI didn’t just change how we produce live content—it changed how we move signals. When the pandemic hit, remote production exploded overnight. At Broadcast Management Group, Inc., we had already been building decentralized REMI workflows, but suddenly the demand for high-quality, low-latency IP transport went through the roof. And that pressure created innovation: 🔹 Connectivity improved 🔹 Latency dropped 🔹 Security hardened 🔹 New hardware/software ecosystems emerged What started as a REMI revolution has evolved into something bigger: a full-scale shift away from satellite and toward secure, resilient, broadcast-grade VoIP transmission—even for Tier-1 productions that were once done only on-site. And the impact has been massive: ✅ Lower carbon footprint ✅ Access to top creative/technical talent anywhere ✅ Reduced travel + operational cost ✅ Greater redundancy and resilience But here’s the real story… The shift is accelerating—fast. Today, major networks are moving their full-time transmission paths from satellite to IP. We’re talking: • 24/7 playout • Master control • Facility-to-facility connectivity • Global live transmission • Full remote operations This isn’t a future trend. It’s happening right now. At BMG, we see it every day: • Thousands of hours of live REMI programming through our DC NOC • Client facilities tied into our BMG Cloud Control Center™ via secure VOIP • Fully managed IP-based master control + global transmissions This is the new broadcast backbone. Whether you're a network, OTT/FAST channel, RSM, or enterprise brand, IP opens the door to more flexibility, lower cost, and higher quality—if you have the right infrastructure and the right partner. I'm curious to hear from my community: Are you already moving away from satellite? What’s been your biggest challenge—or biggest win—in shifting to IP transmission? Drop your thoughts below. 👇
