🎁 Holiday campaigns drive volume, but which channels bring customers back? Quick Fairing pro tip 👇 1️⃣ Enable LTV Analytics (included in every plan, Shopify-only) 2️⃣ Set your range: Nov–Dec 2024 → Present 3️⃣ Compare 1st order revenue vs. lifetime revenue & LTV You’ll instantly see which channels from last year drove long-term value, not just a holiday spike. If you’re pushing ROAS this season thinking you’ll “make it up later,” check last year’s data first. Your LTV report might tell a different story.

You can’t run incrementality tests on every channel, and host-read podcasts are one of them. So how do you prove they work? This is where post-purchase survey (PPS) signals come in. When you measure impact through PPS, you uncover clarity dashboards can only dream of. Take this example 👇 As podcast ad spend rises, so does the share of customers saying they heard about us from podcasts. That near-perfect sync, shown here as 7-day moving averages, proves two things: 🎯 Post-purchase surveys work. They capture real signal from podcast campaigns — not noise. 🎙️ Podcast ads drive measurable impact. Traditional analytics miss upper-funnel influence, but PPS surfaces it directly from customers. If iOS14 made your attribution murky or your dashboards leave you guessing, here’s your reminder: just ask your customers. It’s not just a pretty correlation, it’s confidence you can act on.

Everyone wants organic social tied to business metrics, and honestly, that’s a fair ask. It’s just not a clean one, because social rarely behaves like a straight line from post to purchase, it behaves like a credibility layer that shows up later in search, referrals, email replies, event conversations, and sales calls. What you can do is build a defensible connection between organic activity and the business signals that actually move growth forward, without forcing social to act like a lead form. If you’ve got the brainpower and you want the playbook, I created this post for you. It walks through how to translate organic metrics into business outcomes, platform by platform, so you can report what’s real, diagnose what’s broken, and stop getting trapped in the wrong questions. Give it a read, and tell me which metric your leadership team fixates on like it’s the only one that matters. (If you got the pun, we can be friends)

Social media can be fun, but doing social media for business takes a level of marketing strategy that not everyone has. You can post fun dancing videos all day long, but that is not going to drive business. Let's chat about that.

I want to build the MoneySuperMarket of solar. Not a phrase I throw around lightly, and we're not there yet. But that's the direction, and I'll tell you exactly why. Right now most homeowners don't know which solar installers to trust. They search, they get bombarded, they pick whoever shouts loudest or quotes cheapest. The good installers get lost in the noise. MoneySuperMarket didn't win because it had the best products. It won because it became the name people think of first. When you want to compare, you go there. That's a brand position, not a price position. That's what I'm building for solar. The plan isn't a secret. Ads. PR. Radio. TV. Digital billboards. Video interviews with the installers on our panel, used in our ads so homeowners actually get to know the companies behind the work. When a homeowner sees those companies enough times, in enough places, trust gets built before a single call is made. And here's what that means if you're on the panel. You're not just getting enquiries. You're getting brand awareness you'd never buy on your own, attached to a name homeowners are starting to recognise. That's the whole point of capping the panel at 10. The brand we build doesn't get spread across 300 installers. It goes to the handful who got in early. We're not there yet. But that's where this is going. PS, I was supposed to be on a podcast today but i'm speaking with Max Sullivan about all things construction.

I've built a free tool for solar installers. It’s called The Solar Opportunity Map. Enter any UK postcode and you’ll see: ✅ Opportunity hotspots by postcode sector ✅ EPC distribution across the district ✅ Area insights and comparisons ✅ A report you can save and revisit It’s completely free to use, and I’d genuinely love your feedback. 👉 https://lnkd.in/eJvCFTcV

Growing a #BehavioralHealthFacility today means competing in crowded markets, paying $100–$300 per click, and protecting margins at the same time. But growth isn’t the real problem. Sustainable growth is. Reaching #FullCensus while protecting outcomes, culture, and cash flow is the balance most operators are trying to strike, and rarely talk about publicly. That tension is where most facilities get stuck. Over the past few years, we’ve been working alongside 40+ #BehavioralHealth organizations to help them build predictable, ethical growth systems that support admissions without pulling focus away from patient care. If you’re curious what that looks like in practice, send me a DM. Happy to jump on a call and compare notes. #BehavioralHealthLeaders #TreatmentCenterOwners #HealthcareExecutives #CensusGrowth

We just launched Patient Acquisition ROI & Census Growth Calculator 2.0 The benchmarks behind the calculator are informed by: → $4M+ in monthly managed media spend for SUD & MH → 75+ behavioral health CMO survey respondents → Performance data across Cost per VOB, Cost per Qualified VOB, Cost per Admission, conversion rates, length of stay & more → Anonymized, aggregated datasets and insights from strategic partners across RCM, billing, call center technology The goal is simple: give behavioral health operators a more realistic way to benchmark patient acquisition performance - and understand what their marketing investment should actually translate into in terms of qualified opportunities, admissions, census, and revenue. No benchmark is perfect.... But the more real-world data we can bring together, the better we can help operators move beyond clicks, leads and vanity metrics — and start measuring what actually matters: 1. Admissions 2. Census 3. Revenue 4. ROI. 👉 Stress-test the calculator here: https://lnkd.in/erVvaijg If you operate or market a behavioral health facility, I’d genuinely appreciate your feedback! 🙏 Do the benchmarks align with what you're seeing? What would you add or change for 3.0?

“Two weeks down to 90 seconds.” That's the shift The Times described when they moved product testing over to Electric Twin. Their previous workflow ran on an external panel with a standard two-week turnaround. They had a solid process that was widely used, but it set a hard ceiling on how fast their team could move. Now they test in the morning, iterate by lunch, and run another round before the end of the day. Speed matters. But the bigger change is what speed makes possible: More assumptions tested before resource is committed. More questions asked before a direction is decided. Fewer calls made on instinct because the data wasn't there in time. When customer feedback takes weeks, teams stop asking questions they don't have to. The research queue shapes what gets asked. Which means it shapes what gets decided. When you can get feedback in minutes, that constraint disappears.

Martin Sorrell built the largest advertising empire in history. When he speaks about what agencies need to do to survive AI, it's worth paying attention. His argument is straightforward: agencies that hold onto production as their core value proposition are already losing. AI commoditises the output. What it can't commoditise is understanding the audience. That's the gap with which most agencies haven't yet fully reckoned. The agencies we work with that are moving fastest aren't the ones debating whether AI will change their model. They've accepted it will, and they're asking a better question: what do we know about our clients' audiences that nobody else does? Proprietary audience intelligence (data and the means of understanding it) is becoming the moat, rather than headcount and process process (and that applies not only to agencies but all consumer-centric businesses). 👉 Read the full post & link to the article in the comments.

𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 #femalefounder Nuria Antolí, CEO & Founder NURAFRAMES 👓 This is the final episode in our SILMO Paris interview series, and it couldn’t have ended on a more inspiring note. I first met Nuria Antolí nearly 10 years ago, when she was still working as a brand manager at Xavier Garcia Eyewear Barcelona. ROI corporativo? Ainda esperando.

If you're not getting replies, your outreach is broken. Not your product. Not your pricing. Not your pipeline. You just don’t have attention. Here’s the only 3 things that matter: 1. Reply Rate No replies = no meetings = no sales. It doesn’t matter how good your offer is. If no one replies, you don’t exist. Getting ignored? Your messaging is off. Too complicated. Too much info. Too little pain. You’re not speaking to them. You’re just talking. First job: get a reply, any reply. You can’t fix a sales funnel that isn’t even started. 2. Booking Rate You got a reply, now what? Don’t drop the value too early. Don’t pitch in the DM. If you’re good live, you want them on the call. You need urgency. A reason to meet. Not just “let me know if you’re interested.” You want, “when can we talk this week?” 3. Close Rate You booked the call. Nice. But are you closing? Maybe they’re from the wrong country. Maybe they don’t have budget. Maybe they’re just curious. Go backwards: Are these the right people? Did they understand the offer? Was it even worth your time? We’ve had whole weeks of great replies and calls but zero closes, because we were fishing in the wrong pond. Great outreach means this: Replies from the right people Bookings with real urgency Sales from people who can buy That’s it. That’s the system. And if any part is broken, fix it fast. Sales is war. You need a working weapon.

A human is never going to win this race. Let’s not pretend. Maybe they could write a slightly better message. Maybe they could book the meeting with a bit more nuance. But they can’t do it in one second. That’s why AI wins. Not because it’s more charming. Not because it’s smarter. Because it never needs a coffee break. Because it doesn’t “circle back tomorrow.” Because it can handle 500 conversations at once. Even Microsoft and Amazon, with teams of thousands, take minutes to reply. AI does it in a second. And once it’s trained, it replies as well as any human. So ask yourself: Are your clients paying you for human touch? Or are they paying you for results, fast? Speed closes deals. Speed wins pipeline. Speed scales. Anyone selling “humans book better meetings” in 2025 is selling fairy dust.

Is branding killing advertising or saving it? I got asked this question recently. As an adverting lead within a branding agency, the irony is not lost on me. It got me thinking, and writing. In the quest for fresh ideas, branding is often sidelined. But if you remove brand codes in the name of ‘creativity', do you make the brand more relevant – or more forgettable?

Ever wondered what an award-winning Brand Advocacy program actually looks like on the inside? I mean the real thing, not the polished case study version or the headline stats pulled into a slide deck. I am talking about how it’s structured, how it scales, how decisions get made, what’s working, and what’s being refined. Next Tuesday, I’m sitting down with Jenny Borland from Beekman 1802 and Duel Tech to properly unpack the Kindness Krew, their 5X award-winning advocacy program 🔥 We are going to explore: – How they aligned advocacy to brand values without losing commercial impact – The recruitment mindset shift from “on-brand” to “brand safe + high quality” – The challenge framework that mobilises advocates into real-world moments (think Times Square launches and Ulta campaigns) – How advocacy connects to revenue, social commerce, PR and long-term loyalty What always fascinates me about Beekman 1802 is how they build everything around a single value 🫶 kindness 🫶 and this programme is no different and it drives revenue! We will be showing how they designed a system that turns customers into consistent, high-performing advocates. It’s the first time we are doing this, so it’s a rare chance to see inside a program at this level of detail. If you’re building community. If you’re trying to prove ROI from advocacy. If you’re under pressure to grow without increasing paid spend. This will be a valuable 45 minutes. 📅 Tuesday, Feb 24 ⏰ 1:00–1:45 PM EST 🎁 One live attendee will win a $100 Beekman 1802 gift card. (And yes, if you sign up, you will get the recording 😉) Link to join in the comments and if you have any questions please drop me a DM! ☺️
