Most brokers I speak to set their ad budget like this: "Let's try $3k this month and see what happens." Then at the end of the month: "We got some leads… closed a couple of deals… not sure if it was worth it." That's budgeting backwards. The sharper approach: Start with: "I want to earn $40k in commission this month." Then work backwards: At $1,000 average commission per deal → I need 40 deals At 25% close rate → I need 160 attended calls At 70% show rate → I need 229 booked calls At $100 cost per booked call → I need $22,900 ad spend ROI: 1.75x ($40k earned on $22,900 spend) Now you've got a number based on what you're trying to achieve, not what feels comfortable. And more importantly, you can see exactly where the leverage is: Improve show rate to 80% → only need 200 booked calls (saving $2,900) Improve close rate to 30% → only need 134 attended calls Drop cost per booked call to $80 → only need $18,320 spend (saving $4,580) Suddenly "optimising the funnel" isn't vague. It's math with a price tag on every improvement. We've put together a free calculator for you to figure out exactly what numbers you need to hit to make your target revenue. If you've ever said "Facebook leads never answer the phone"… this one's for you. It's rarely just the platform. It's usually a few things working against you at once: 1. The wrong objective Optimising for "traffic" or "leads" that never tie back to your CRM. Meta simply gives you what you've asked for: cheap, low-intent clicks. 2. Zero context The ad says one thing, the page says another, and your opening line is: "I'm just calling about some information you requested…" They don't connect that with the ad they scrolled past yesterday. 3. No expectation of a call If the funnel doesn't clearly say: "Pick a time and an agent will call you to walk through your options." …a random number ringing feels like spam, not service. 4. No pre-qualification Name + email + phone ≠ qualification. A few smart questions like: "Are you currently insured?" "Which type of cover are you most interested in?" "When are you looking to make a decision?" …filter out a lot of accidental clicks. When your ads: Say exactly who you are Explain exactly what happens next Let them choose a time to talk …your "Facebook leads never answer" problem tends to shrink very quickly. Want to know how much you need in ad spend to hit your desired monthly revenue goal?..We put together a free calculator 👇 https://lnkd.in/ew2GX7Ag

Randomizing survey answers is overrated. It sounds more "scientific" but it might actually make your data worse. 🤯 🤯 🤯 Most marketers and researchers randomize answer options to reduce bias, especially on mobile. The assumption: if everyone sees a different order, no single option will consistently benefit from being at the top. In theory, that makes sense. But in practice? It only works if you have enough responses to spread the bias around. We ran a Monte Carlo simulation to test this and here's what we found: - Under 200 respondents: Randomization is mostly useless. The bias doesn’t “cancel out”, it just moves around. You may even hurt data quality - 500–1,000 respondents: Now there’s some benefit. Randomization starts to balance out positional effects, but it’s still moderate. 2,000+ respondents: This is the sweet spot. At this scale, randomization becomes genuinely effective for reducing bias and improving result accuracy. TAKEAWAY Don’t assume that checking the “randomize” box is a free win. If your sample is small, you're better off refining your question design like shortening option lists, or ordering by relevance than relying on a statistical fix that hasn’t kicked in yet. Data quality is a system, not a checkbox.

🎧 Where do your customers listen to podcasts? We spent 3 hrs digging into the data and here's what we found: If your first thought is "podcast apps," you're only seeing part of the picture. While most listeners still use traditional apps, YouTube has become a podcasting giant too big to ignore. Our own benchmark analysis shows that while podcast apps account for ~65% of listeners, a massive ~35% are using YouTube. And this isn't an isolated trend. The latest industry data backs this up: → Backlinko reports that 39% of weekly U.S. podcast consumers use YouTube the most. → Edison Research found that 31% of weekly listeners name YouTube as their primary podcast service. The mix can swing widely by show, but the message is clear: a huge chunk of your audience is consuming podcast content on a video platform. Action item: If you run post-purchase surveys (like a "How Did You Hear About Us?"), split "Podcast" and "YouTube" into two distinct options. After the user selects an answer, add a "Which show?" auto-suggest follow-up question to capture the specific podcast driving discovery. If you don't, you will misattribute your marketing efforts and miscalculate your channel ROI. Your audience is everywhere. Your survey should be too.

Every industry eventually ends up with a place people trust to start their research. Hotels have Booking.com. Insurance has Compare the Market. Trades have Checkatrade. etc.... When it comes to solar, homeowners still don't really have that. Most people decide they want solar long before they decide which installer to use. The difficult part is working out who they can trust. That's one of the problems we've been trying to solve with GoSolarToday. Over the last couple of months, we've focused on building a platform that helps homeowners understand their options, compare local installers and make a more informed decision. We're now looking to welcome a small number of additional installation companies to join us on that journey. If you genuinely care about doing great work and giving homeowners an exceptional experience, we'd love to introduce more people to your business. I recorded a short video explaining what we've built, why we've taken this approach, and what we're looking for in the companies we work with. Here's some more info: https://lnkd.in/eYa9RETF I'd genuinely appreciate any feedback from people in the industry.
- Emerge DigitalRecorded 17 Sept 2026
Here's something I genuinely can't fully explain. A good portion of our solar enquiries come in on two days. Thursdays and Sundays. Not Monday motivation. Not Friday wind-down. Thursday and Sunday, consistently. My best guess? It's psychological. Sunday is when people sit at home, look at their bills, think about the year ahead and decide to sort things out. Thursday might be the midweek point where they've had time to think and want to act before the weekend. But honestly, I'm guessing. What it's taught me is that timing matters more than installers realise. If your follow-up assumes everyone enquires Monday to Friday, nine to five, you're missing people exactly when they're most ready to talk. Anyone in solar seeing the same pattern? I'd love to know if it holds up across the industry.

One of the biggest mistakes I see in behavioral health marketing is assuming that growth comes from simply increasing ad spend. The most sustainable growth strategies are channel-agnostic. They focus on lowering patient acquisition costs by strengthening the channels that already create trust. That’s why I’m incredibly proud of initiatives like our white-label Alumni Planner & platform. It’s far more than a branded notebook. It’s a strategic tool that helps treatment centers strengthen alumni relationships, generate more 5-star reviews, increase professional referrals, support long-term engagement, and ultimately create more sustainable admissions growth. When you combine strong alumni programs with referral partner development, local SEO, online reputation management, and authoritative content, you build an ecosystem where every channel reinforces the next. Less reliance on buying every lead and exposure to “Googleflation.” More momentum through trust, advocacy, and community. That’s how behavioral health organizations reduce CPA while building a stronger brand for years to come. Proud of the elev8.io team for continuing to think beyond traditional marketing and helping facilities grow smarter 💪🏻👏🚀
- elev8.ioSince 25 Aug 2026
If you’re optimizing for clicks, traffic, or even raw leads - you’re optimizing the wrong game. The only metrics that matter are: 1. Cost per VOB. 2. Cost per Qualified VOB 3. Cost per Admission. That’s the scoreboard - and if you break those down across channels (Paid Ads, SEO, Alumni, Referrals, and Business Development), you start to see the truth: → Some channels look good on paper but don’t convert and eat up most of your budget → Most are inconsistent at best and should be deprioritized from a budget standpoint → A few quietly drive the majority of your admissions and deserve more budget In summary, the job isn’t to “do more marketing” or keep raising your budgets every time your agency asks. The job is to allocate capital and effort where outcomes are predictable and profitable, i.e: ✅ Scale what produces qualified VOBs ✅ Invest where cost per admission is efficient ✅ Eliminate what doesn’t convert This is what turns marketing from a cost center into a growth engine for your facility. Not more channels. Not more spend. Just better visibility and better decisions that lead to a higher ROI. #BehavioralHealthMarketing #BehavioralHealthLeadership #PatientAcquisition

A study just appeared in Science that used Reddit's "Am I The Asshole" posts to test whether AI tells you the truth. Across 11 major models, chatbots affirmed users 49% more often than humans did, even in cases involving deception, manipulation, or illegal behaviour. One conversation was enough to make people more certain they were right and less willing to apologise. This doesn't surprise me. These AI tools are designed for the work place, coaching and encouraging us, to deliver better work. However, use them for the wrong thing and they go from assistive to detrimental. This isn't a bug as much as it is a design decision. At Electric Twin, our platform isn't designed to flatter you, it is designed to give you accurate reflections of the real world - even if everyone hates your idea. Great for understanding customers, perhaps not always great for your ego.
- Electric TwinSince 7 Sept 2026
A prediction you can't check is just an opinion with a decimal point. So the question we get asked most is a fair one. How do you know Electric Twin is accurate? We test it two ways. The first is holdout testing. Which works by taking a survey with 40 questions and holding out five of them. You build a synthetic audience from the other 35, then put those same five questions to that synthetic audience. Now compare the synthetic answers with the real ones and see how close they are. It mirrors what an insights team does every day, where the question you really care about is usually just one more question on a survey you've already run. We also tested Electric Twin against seven identical surveys across a range of methods, pre-registering our predictions before we'd seen any results. Run with Professor Michael Muthukrishna of LSE and NYU, the experiment compared Electric Twin against traditional market research methods. It turns out we were just as accurate. Have a watch of the video if you want to know more about accuracy at Electric Twin.

US growth folks, help me figure out what’s worth asking Endel’s Head of Growth on Sept 16. I’d love your input. We’re doing a live interview with Vadim Chernikov, and I want to make sure we ask the questions that actually matter to growth teams Endel creates personalized soundscapes for sleep and focus. You might know its AI Lullaby collaboration with Grimes. Vadim joined when the team was 12 people and built growth and performance marketing from scratch He scaled ad spend from $0 to $1M/month, helped bring the business to profitability, and Endel now has $15M+ ARR Next target: $2M/month in ad spend Join us Sept 16, 11am ET / 8am PT: https://lnkd.in/dtPaetmU He’s also agreed to talk about what didn’t work—which is the part I’m most interested in. We’ll dig into questions like: • What changes when you evaluate campaigns beyond installs? • How do you test hundreds of hypotheses a month without testing speed becoming the bottleneck? • What do you do when spending more on the same audience only makes acquisition more expensive? • Why didn’t bringing funnel data into one dashboard make decisions faster? • Why did using Claude shift the work from merging data to checking outputs and debugging the agent? We help teams solve this at Plurio, so I have a few questions of my own. Our system combines AI agents, 100+ marketing skills, and marketing engineers who adapt it to each business. Our client Finom uses it to analyze 500+ ads across 10+ countries in five minutes, a task that would take their team 10–15 hours. I’d like to hear what Endel tried and where they got stuck Drop your #1 question for Vadim in the comments. We’ll include the best ones in our prep The live Q&A is Sept 16, 11am ET / 8am PT P.S. Endel also has a small gift for everyone who joins :) P.P.S. Not in the US? I’d love your questions too P.P.S. Want to see what this could look like for your team? This week I launched One Mage Army with zero creatives. AI was a HUGE part of it. Do you wanna know more? Join this👇 No gameplay footage. No motion designer - mine were all buried in client work. Nothing on YouTube to RIP, nobody knows this game. Just a store page. So I gave Layer one link and one prompt. 90 minutes later I had 10 videos. Not one piece of AI in my stack told me what to do about any of that. I still did it with my own hands. Great experience! 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗲: "𝘞𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘊𝘭𝘢𝘶𝘥𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘸𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘢 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘬. 𝘐𝘵 𝘥𝘪𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘶𝘴 𝘧𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳." That's Vadim Chernikov, 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝘁 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗹. $0 → $1M/month in ad spend, profitable, $15M+ ARR. Combining data got easier. He put the time he saved straight back into checking the agent's output and debugging it. Same story with the dashboard every CMO is buying this quarter. Endel has the entire funnel in one place - product analytics, ad platform data, onboarding surveys, user research. Decisions still aren't faster. Someone still digs out every single answer manually. And then the wall you all know: push more budget into the audience that works, CPA climbs. That's not a bidding problem you fix in Ads Manager. US performance marketers: join us live with Endel's Head of Growth on September 16. Save your spot and bring your toughest questions. 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟲, 𝟱:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠 𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗧. 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗤&𝗔. Vadim is on this because he'll talk about the misses. Which is the other side of the barricade nobody is talking about.... At Endel, combining data with Claude got easier, but the team still spent time checking the output and debugging the agent. Register and bring the question you'd never ask on a conference panel with Plurio AI: https://lnkd.in/diihBGBe (Endel is bringing something for people who actually show up live, I will be there too)

#Frontier #AI just got local in #India. Today, we announced the general availability of #OpenAI #GPT-5.6 #Terra and #Luna models on #AmazonBedrock with in-country inferencing. Indian #enterprises can now access frontier intelligence processed entirely on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure within the country, giving organizations in #financial services, #healthcare, public sector, #telecom, and #startups and other industries the confidence to move #AI into production while their data stays local. https://lnkd.in/dbhd6fYb What makes this significant is the combination of #choice, #cost, and #controls. Organizations can access OpenAI models alongside a wide selection of foundation models through a single API with no infrastructure changes. With price reduction by 80% for GPT-5.6 Luna and 20% for Terra, the #models will help bring frontier intelligence to India at a dramatically lower cost. Every call benefits from the same security, governance, and compliance frameworks customers already rely on across #AWS. As we keep mentioning, India is shifting from #AI experimentation to production-scale deployment, and this launch delivers the best right model for the job every workload, the security organizations demand, and the cost efficiency to sustain it at scale. #AWS #OpenAI #AmazonBedrock #GenerativeAI #AIinIndia #CloudComputing #EnterpriseAI Jasjeet Singh Satinder Singh Purnima Sahni Mohanty Vilsha Kapoor Pramod Boga Biswajit Das Rajeev Singh Praveen Sridhar Pankaj Gupta Kiran J. 📈 Multi-Channel outreach boosted our leads engagement rate by 2.4X, here’s how … Combining email, LinkedIn, LinkedIn ads, and WhatsApp automation has transformed how we connect with leads, making our outreach both high-value and highly engaging. Here’s a quick breakdown of our approach: 1. Value-Packed Email Outreach 📧 We start with an email that provides genuine insights or a lead magnet, building credibility before we even mention services. This sets the stage by delivering value upfront. 2. Retargeting with LinkedIn Ads 🎯 Retargeting ads keep our brand visible to leads who’ve already engaged, gently reminding them of our value and maintaining steady visibility over time. 4. WhatsApp Automation for Real-Time Engagement 💬 WhatsApp automation adds a seamless, conversational layer. From delivering lead magnets to sending webinar reminders and post-call follow-ups, WhatsApp allows us to stay connected in real time while keeping interactions frictionless and personal.
