When AI starts making judgments in finance, who’s really in control? The model or the governance? That’s the question I’ll be exploring next week at the SAP Transformation Excellence Summit. AI is already reconciling, flagging, and adjusting processes faster than any human review can keep up with. Yet our governance models still assume control sits with people, not the system itself. In my session, The GenAI Intelligence: Achieving Autonomous Financial Integrity with Datricks, I’ll share how financial assurance is evolving when oversight becomes embedded, not external. 📆 November 4, 2025 | 🕛 12:05–12:30 PM And if you’re joining in person, make sure to stop by our booth. Our team will be showing what autonomous integrity looks like in practice… and something a little different: a live mentalism experience with Yohan Ben, exploring how perception, pattern recognition, and intuition play into the way we make decisions, in finance and beyond. Seeing what others miss isn’t just the goal of a good mentalist. It’s the foundation of good governance. #FinancialIntegrity #AIinFinance #Governance #RiskManagement #SAPTESummit

#crif #teamwork #TogetherToTheNextLevel

Your most expensive lending line item isn't data. It's the engineering time spent stitching data together. I see it constantly. A small lender has two or three people who can touch code. A real chunk of their week goes to maintaining vendor integrations that break or drift. Every provider returns data in its own shape. Somebody has to normalize it before it's usable. That work never ships a feature or funds a loan. It's pure overhead. The narrow resellers don't help here. They hand you a raw report and leave the formatting to you. CRS returns data pre-formatted for your exact use case, so there's nothing to normalize. Credit, identity, fraud, commercial data, and monitoring arrive through one integration in one consistent format. Your team spends its time underwriting, not translating. Our compliance team supports the FCRA side so you don't staff for it. For lean teams, that's usually the whole pitch. Happy to walk through it.

When I tell people about the Compound dashboard, these three features always get me amped up. Our advisors (and their clients) share in the excitement because all of these features (1) make their lives much easier and (2) really set us apart. 1️⃣ Our equity compensation tool Our dashboard makes it easy to see your company equity right next to the rest of your balance sheet. We pull in details across ISOs, NSOs, RSUs, and private stock holdings so clients can view everything in one place — from grant dates and vesting schedules to strike prices and tax implications. That way, our advisors can guide clients through key decisions like when to exercise, how to manage AMT exposure, and how equity fits into their broader financial plan. 2️⃣ Our net worth tracker What it says on the tin. Clients can see how their net worth changes day to day. We factor in public and private investments, real estate, company equity, crypto, 401ks, and more. 3️⃣ Our document vault The vault holds our client’s important financial documents, tax returns, statements, etc — right where they manage their personal finances. Plus, you can tag by assets or ownership, so forms are easy to find when you need them. All of these features make it easier for clients to know what they have at any point in time and give our advisors the context they need to make smart, personalized recommendations.

Today’s a special day at Compound. We keep on compounding — now managing more than $4 billion in AUM. When we merged Compound and Alternativ Wealth in September 2023, we had $1B under management. At the time, that felt huge. Less than two years later, we’re at $4B (that's 269% growth!). Along the way, we’ve welcomed new advisors across the country, served thousands of clients, and expanded what our platform can do — from tax filing to a dashboard now used by over 10,000 people. The growth is exciting, but for me, this milestone is about momentum. It’s proof that a model built on modern tools and personal relationships can actually scale. Proud of this team. Grateful to the advisors and clients who’ve joined us. And excited for what’s next. See how we did it: https://lnkd.in/ezKTQmH7
- Text-onlyI talk to a lot of business owners who know succession is absolutely critical for them in the next few years, they want to make it a priority, but for one reason or another keep putting it off. Here's what I've learned working with folks in similar situations: there's never a perfect time from a business perspective. You're always going to have some initiative in progress, some customer issue, some operational workflow you want to improve. In these situations, we recommend getting started with small steps, which typically means understanding your options. This is especially true if you are interested in employee ownership, because if you get an offer from a third party buyer next week, you're going to be in a pinch to quickly understand how an employee ownership sale would compare. The way I think about it is this: planning gives you more information and more options, and you're never in a worse position because you have more information about your options.Common TrustRecorded 14 Sept 2026
- Text-onlyOne of the things on my mind recently -- what if one of the best strategies to surviving economic uncertainty isn't cutting costs, but sharing ownership with your workforce? The numbers tell a compelling story: - Employee owned firms were 3.2x more likely to retain staff through the pandemic - Productivity increased by 4-5% at employee owned firms after adoption - Leaders at employee owned firms report voluntary quit rates of their employees at roughly 1/3 of the national average But here's what fascinates me most: it's not just about the financial structure. An older research paper showed that the most participative employee-owned companies grew 8-11% faster than expected, while those without genuine participation showed declining performance. That data is somewhat dated at this point and I haven't found refreshed research on this question (if you know where it is, please point me in the right direction! Mark Hand maybe you know?), but this suggests ownership that is not paired with engagement is just another benefits package. True employee ownership requires legal structuring, financial structuring and cultural adoption— and a transition from employee ownership as an ownership model to employee ownership as an operating model.Common TrustRecorded 14 Sept 2026

In the vertical SaaS era, technology was categorized by domain -- fintech, legal tech, tax tech. In the AI era, technology drives outcomes across domains. At Crux, we're building at the intersection of these domains. We embed legal, financial, and tax expertise into collaborative workflow software available to everyone transacting on Crux. That allows for more deals and less toil for everyone involved. Law firms are key partners in building this new model. AI isn’t here to replace lawyers—it’s here to redefine what lawyers can do. The next era of legal work is measured in leverage, not headcount. When technology handles the drudgery, lawyers finally get paid for the high-impact judgment only they provide. That’s evolution, not disruption. Read more about our approach here 👇

- Cross RiverRecorded 14 Sept 2026
What an exciting day! I’ve had a lot of proud moments in my 17 years at Cross River — Today stands out as one of those moments. We’ve officially launched stablecoin payments, a milestone that has been years in the making. It is more than a new product; it is a major step toward the future of finance — where blockchain and traditional banking finally coalesce, seamlessly. When we started Cross River, our vision was simple: build differentiated technology that empowers innovation while staying grounded in trust and responsibility. That same vision has guided us to this moment — when the very foundation of finance is being reinvented. Stablecoins and blockchain are breaking down barriers, creating real-time connectivity, and unlocking opportunities we couldn’t have imagined a decade ago. What the world needs now is a bridge that connects the speed and transparency of blockchain with the reliability and compliance of trusted and responsible banking. Our new stablecoin infrastructure is that bridge. It unites both worlds, enabling real-time value movement across platforms and networks — all backed by the stability and oversight of a regulated financial institution. This launch represents years of learning, building, and pushing the limits of innovation within the confine of a rigid environment. The future of finance is already here. And we’re proud to help build it — at full speed, responsibly. 👉 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eUtN-S6d

It’s been a busy few weeks at Cinven, so it feels like a good moment to reflect on our recent activity. At SuperReturn in Berlin we met with many of our valued Limited Partners, and Cinven Partners Alexandra Hess, Dr. Michael Weber and Eleanor Mountain shared their insights on stage. Next, we headed off to Venice for our annual Investment Team offsite, which is always a great chance to get together to address the key opportunities and challenges we see ahead. AI is central to how we invest, from evaluating opportunities to driving value across our portfolio, so this year's offsite was AI-focused, bringing together thought-leaders from the industry, from Cinven's AI specialists to industry experts, including Cinven portfolio company, Artefact, Benedict Evans and Bain & Company. On the investment side, we were pleased to announce that Vitamin Well Group is combining with EMPWR, a leading nutrition bar manufacturer, an exciting next step in Vitamin Well's growth. Our Portfolio team hosted a series of events, including our Procurement team hosting a US portfolio summit and our AI specialist team hosting portfolio sessions; and our Sustainability team published our latest Sustainability Report. Colleagues across our offices also celebrated Pride and took part in industry events. Jorge Quemada Saenz-Badillos and I are particularly proud of our recognition in France, where Cinven was named winner of the Large Cap Investment Fund Award at the Private Equity Magazine Grand Prix. A real highlight! To those taking a break this summer, we hope you get to recharge properly.

I used to think there was a clear $ threshold where people shift from preferring self-serve to wanting to speak to an actual person. I’m not so sure anymore, and here’s why. Deal size used to predict when sales got involved. Now even a free trial could require a security and compliance review. At the same time, some buyers are comfortable spending thousands of dollars per month without ever talking to someone (yay, PLG). I worked with one portco where a customer spent >$100k all through self-serve. Anecdotally, this is happening even more with AI products. Well, we finally have data on this via my friends at Cleverbridge (full disclosure, I’m a #cleverbridgepartner). They just surveyed 608 software sellers and 551 software buyers. What the data says: > 4% would only be comfortable with self-serve purchases <$1k > 20% would be comfortable with $1-$5k purchases > 24% would be comfortable with $5-$25k purchases > 36% would be comfortable with $25-$100k purchases > 17% would go above $100k (🤯) The appetite for self-serve* is real. B2B buyers are just consumers at work. Many of us (👋) want fast, frictionless, and available 24x7. There’s a bunch more data in the full report around revenue mix by channel, efficiency, and buyer preferences. Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/gkzAWSrV *PS, this isn’t just about new purchases. Self-serve can be great for routine renewals and simple upgrades. #sponsoredpost
