💙 VQV 🚀

Honored to win "Best Analytics Tool" at With Intelligence / S&P Global's Hedge Fund Services Awards. This reflects the relentless focus of our exceptional team and the brilliant clients who push us every day. Arcana exists to build the technology vision that most investors have in their heads when they enter the industry. At their best, investors do this because there is something beautiful about pursuing truth and synthesizing everything in the world that matters. The full vision is still far from complete. But it is coming faster than many realize, and we view ourselves as constantly at day one of building toward that reality. Reach out at arcana.io if you’d like to learn more.

PCI compliance has been pretty boring for most of my career. That's a feature, not a bug. I'm realizing more and more that this is absolutely NOT the experience for everyone. And apparently, some people are still answering 300+ question SAQs. 😬 I was reading through our case study with Ansa and one number jumped out at me: 95%. That's how much they reduced their PCI scope by using Basis Theory as their cardholder data environment. Their SAQ-D went from 300+ potential questions to answering just four through Basis Theory. Four. 🍀 But here's the part I actually find most interesting as a payments person... They didn't have to trade control for simplicity. One of the easiest ways to make PCI someone else's problem has always been to hand your payment credentials to a processor. And it works! Until you want another processor. Or your enterprise customers already have their own PSP relationships. Or you simply want the freedom to make a different decision later. Ansa gets the boring PCI experience while still maintaining the flexibility to work with whatever processors their customers need. That's the combination I love. ♥️ Compliance shouldn't be your payments strategy. It should be boring infrastructure that lets you get back to your payments strategy. Pretty cool example of that here 👇 https://lnkd.in/g7ctnEPc #payments #PCI #fintech

"Integration takes 15 minutes." It's true. Fast to integrate is the floor these days. What nobody puts on a landing page is what happens after, and that's exactly where the real project begins. Vaults are here to help unlock advanced payment decisioning. Part of that unlock needs to be supporting your payment strategy on more than just a code level. An integration in 15 minutes is meaningless if you have to rip your stack out and replace it after six months because you weren't getting the support you expected. So instead of telling you how quickly you can integrate to Basis Theory or how developer-friendly we are, I want to run through a few considerations that are vault-adjacent. None of them are actually about Basis Theory. Do you want to own orchestration in-house, or use an orchestration platform? No wrong answer, and honestly a combination of the two can make sense depending on your markets. Maybe bring on a second PSP and start small with light failover logic you handle directly. For hyper-local connections and APMs, maybe look at adding an orchestrator, because you can't be bothered to connect to a Mongolian PSP as a US-based company. Do you get the data you need back? Gateways and orchestration platforms tend to normalize responses on the way back. Nothing inherently wrong with that, as long as you're getting everything you need, and that's harder to verify when you only interact with a single point. Are you building your own source of truth where you need raw data, or is normalization fine for your payment strategy? How detailed does your logic need to be? More a question of what are you actually trying to solve. Are you optimizing for auth rates or interchange? What does your failover strategy look like? How are you handling declines, whether that's 3DS as a recovery mechanism or offering an APM when a card payment fails? Do you have recurring traffic, how are you handling retries, and is that recurring volume portable between PSPs or locked into a third-party engine? What does changing your payment stack actually look like? When you use a vault, you meaningfully change the way you interact with PSPs for customer-initiated transactions. Typically you're moving from a hosted field to a server-to-server flow where the card data gets injected in transit. Do your preferred PSPs support that flow? How many other services can you run agnostic of the PSP, and do your PSPs support them, whether that's an external MPI for 3DS or an endpoint to update a stored credential so you can cascade account updates from your vault down to your PSPs? 15 minute integration. Cool. Nobody cares. The important thing is whether your vault provider is capable of having these conversations with you and providing meaningful guidance. Plenty more to consider. Drop a comment and share some knowledge.

A constatação final é clara: países que prosperam fazem escolhas explícitas. Países que empobrecem aceitam truques contínuos. A economia brasileira está presa entre esses dois caminhos. A ilusão funcionou enquanto a renda parecia estável. Agora que a renda disponível caiu, o truque perdeu validade. A classe média sabe fazer conta. E, como mostra o estudo, a conta não fecha.

This week Julie Slapp and I are opening up an important conversation about the big fears people have of retirement. And there’s a few of them… The fear of not having enough to retire. The fear of giving up work and being purposeless, and the fear of spending their hard-earned and saved superannuation. Fact is, fear usually exists in places where you don’t properly understand how things work. And we chase fear away by building a better understanding of how modern retirement works - explaining how to work out how much is enough, how finding purpose and fulfilment works, and how to build your income for retirement. A big thanks to AMP Super, our podcast sponsor this month, for driving this conversation on fear - it’s an important one. So many pre-retirees and retirees feel the fear - it’s time we talked more about it, and helped people work through it. 🎧To listen just search for Prime Time with Bec Wilson! #Ad AMP Super is issued by N. We're navigating a period of extraordinary change, and the forces reshaping economies are also transforming the future of finance. Five trends stand out: the cementing of a multipolar world; rapid technological transformation of financial infrastructure; the changing role of banks; demographic change and rising wealth participation; and the accelerating energy transition. Together, they're changing client needs as well as how capital flows, how businesses grow, and how economies compete. They're also intensifying competition for critical resources, infrastructure, and investment. At Standard Chartered, we've spent decades building a network, capabilities, and expertise designed for a more interconnected, digital, and increasingly fragmented world. Those choices position us well to support our clients – and help drive sustainable growth over the long term. Whenever I’m in Singapore, I’m struck by how this city-state combines long-term ambition with disciplined preparation and then moves with real pace. Those strengths make Singapore not just a gateway to Asia, but also a critical hub in a wider super-connector network, linking Asia, Africa, and the Middle East with each other and with the rest of the world. That connectivity matters for our clients. It allows us to bring together capital, ideas, and opportunities across the world’s most dynamic markets; helping businesses manage risk, navigate change, and keep moving forward. Singapore shows what is possible when connectivity and a clear sense of direction come together. With Formula 1®heading back to Singapore, and Standard Chartered as one of their official partners, I’m looking forward to catching up with our clients at the track to hear what they have planned, and how we can support them along the way. I take this opportunity to thank our brand team, who translated the preparation, teamwork, precise execution, and pace of the sport (and indeed, Singapore) into our latest global brand campaign that launched this month. #NowIsYourTime #SCMoveYouAhead

You know that feeling when you’re in the hospital and all you can think about is getting out? It doesn’t matter why you’re there. Most of us just want to be discharged so we can go home, settle into our own space and actually heal. A hospital can treat what’s in front of you, but the real recovery often happens in the places where you feel safe enough to rest. But “home” isn’t the same reality for everyone. For some, being discharged means heading back to the street, to a shelter bed that isn’t guaranteed tomorrow or to a place where rest just isn’t possible. That’s how people get caught in a cycle of returning to the emergency department, not because the care wasn’t good, but because nothing around them has changed. The Navigator Program at St. Michael’s steps in at that moment. It is community care in action. A navigator meets someone in the middle of their medical crisis and asks the questions that shape what happens next: Where are you sleeping tonight? Do you have income coming in? What needs attention so you’re not right back here next week? Then they stay connected long enough to help those answers turn into real support. A safe place to sleep. A specialist appointment. Help with paperwork. A path toward housing. Steady contact that keeps someone from slipping through the cracks. What I appreciate most about this program is that it treats people as whole human beings whose health is shaped by the conditions they’re living in. And it’s a reminder that recovery isn’t only about what happens in the emergency department. It’s about whether someone has the stability, safety and support they need once they walk out the door. Great to join the 2025 Financial Times Global Banking Summit last week, where I joined Hemlata Narasimhan from Elavon Europe , and Sally H. from The Banker , for a discussion on the growth and impact of Embedded Finance on the Banking and Fintech landscape across North America and Europe. Embedded Finance is growing at a 25% CAGR and has been enabled through growth of gig economy, earned wage access and vertically integrated SaaS platforms powered through API integrations. It’s not only driving seamless payments experience across consumer applications but has become a strategic channel offered by banks to service their Corporate and Institutional clients with embedded ERP payment solutions. The next wave of innovation in embedded finance will be hyper personalized driven in part by the rapid innovation in smarter, faster #payments occurring globally. Before starting Curie, I was a CPA. I thought I understood taxes. Then I met sales tax. According to Numeral, Curie’s deodorant is taxable, but it gets complicated very quickly depending on where and how we sell. In Los Angeles, Curie’s deodorant is taxable as tangible personal property, but determining the final rate means accounting for California’s statewide rate plus applicable local and district taxes. And California isn’t alone in getting specific. Texas specifically lists antiperspirants as an example of an exempt OTC product, but only if it carries an FDA-compliant drug facts panel. And then if you are selling wholesale, there is an entirely different playbook, resale certificates, etc. Same aisle. Potentially, very different tax rules. We switched to Numeral a few years back, and it’s been a breath of fresh air. And that’s coming from someone who’d know. Numeral handles it all, from filings and new registrations to resale certificates, and they’ve got an entire team of tax researchers and former auditors on staff. Numeral sponsored this post, but only after we switched, paid, and onboarded, and we've had an amazing experience. ✨ https://www.numeral.com/

Cohort forecasting with customer segments is on the biggest unlocks in forecasting accuracy for your online sales channels I mentioned this briefly on an Intuit webinar last week - but in this video im showing you how in Iris Finance you can use customer segmentation to gain enhanced accuracy in your financial plan. One example is segmenting on product. Different products retain customers at totally different clips - a good use case for AI to pour over your data and figure out. This matters not just for sales planning but also for inventory planning. You can't just assume that all of your customers are going to come back at the same rate, when in reality they have different spending patterns and are coming in on different products. With Iris, the workflow is simple. We help you identify which types of segments actually have true predictive power, and then we build cohort models based on those segments that flow through your revenue model, and then downstream to your inventory planning process. The result is better accuracy in repeat revenue forecasting. Having high confidence levels in your repeat revenue forecast is what allows you scale your CAC target without compromising EBITDA margins. Over time, as you get more and more customers - you can tolerate higher CACs as the repeat customers start to contribute more and more gross profit to the business. Doing this exercise across DTC, Amazon, & TikTok Shop not only helps you steer your business with more confidence, but along the way you will identify which products create the most LTV, which marketing campaigns are worth doubling down on, and which are worth ditching. If this sounds like something your brand could benefit from - hit my DMs!

We just launched Iris MCP 🚀 Everyone is building AI agents, but they break as soon as they touch finance tasks Why? Finance & operational data is ESPESICALLY messy & siloed - and messy data means more hallucinations and less reliable agents For example, If you're connecting Claude to Quickbooks & Amazon, those two systems will show different numbers for revenue, meaning your agent can't answer a question as simple as 'what were our sales last month" - let alone build any analysis or modeling. Iris MCP gives agents secure, governed access to clean, normalized, agent friendly structured data from 1000s of sources: - ERPs, Accounting ledgers, & AP systems - Amazon/Shopify - Ad accounts, SMS, & email - Retailers - Bank Accts / Credit Cars - Subscription platforms and more. One central & USABLE AI optimized data store for all your data is how you build agents that will actually drive value in your business. My favorite things customers have built so far that are not iris-native yet: - Cash level monitoring agent - Inventory level monitoring agent - Revenue reconciliation agent Good data is your advantage. Shoot me a DM if you want to connect to iris MCP

Given unprecedented changes underway in the global economy, today was a good day to welcome over 5,000 clients and business partners from around the world to HSBC's Global Investment Summit 2026, featuring a series of luminary speakers including former Fed Chief Janet Yellen, author Malcom Gladwell and Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin. I had the personal honour of moderating the opening panel with the CEOs of two iconic Asian companies: Kuok Hui Kwong of hotel chain Shangri-La and Lincoln Pan of Jardine Matheson. Have you ever heard of Hamilton Lane? 🔎📚 No? That’s not surprising. In the retail investment world, they’re still relatively unknown. But in the institutional world, they’re a powerhouse. ✨📈 Hamilton Lane has focused exclusively on private markets for over 30 years and today oversees more than $1 trillion in assets under management and supervision. Their investments span companies many people know, including Databricks, Uber, Nestlé Health, Monday.com, Italo Treno. 💡📊 And the performance shows it: The Hamilton Lane Private Markets Access ELTIF delivered +13.8% net return in 2025 and +1.18% in January 2026, bringing the since-inception return to about 15% in less than a year. ✨🥂 Historically, private markets were accessible mostly to institutional investors. That’s exactly why we partnered with Hamilton Lane. Through NAO, investors can access this Hamilton Lane fund and gain exposure to institutional-quality private markets. ⚡️🚀 Exciting times as private markets become more accessible.
