By 2030, smartphones will be predictive, emotionally aware life hubs - shaping how your customer and subscriber base interacts with entertainment, mobility, health, and the home. For you, this impacts strategy, investment, partnerships - growth. As AI, connectivity, and user‑centric design converge, competition based on hardware alone is falling short. The real differentiator is who can orchestrate seamless ecosystems around the smartphone. Our latest insights explore what this shift means - and why the next phase of growth will belong to brands that think beyond the device. #ConnectedEcosystems #GrowthThroughInsight
- GfK - An NIQ CompanySince 16 Apr 2026
Your customers start their day with their smartphone, move through their commute with it, monitor their health - and wind down with it at night. AI‑enabled smartphones are increasingly coordinating these moments, creating expectations for continuity, personalization, and emotional intelligence by default. For you, this raises a strategic challenge: growth will depend on who defines the experience layer, not just who manufactures the device. #ConnectedEcosystems #GrowthThroughInsight

Typology, Amouage, Glowbar, Rejuran. Four names that explain more about where Beauty is moving than most 2026 strategy decks have caught. A live conversation with Consumer Edge and The New Consumer on the shifts moving through the Beauty consumer right now, what the consumer spending data reveals, and what corporate strategy, insights, marketing, and finance teams should do about it. The Beauty consumer is restructuring underneath the category. Survey and panel research are too slow to catch what’s actually moving. Spending data shows the picture in real time, and the picture is changing fast. In this webinar, Michael Gunther and Dan Frommer walk through the headline findings of the CE Health & Beauty White Paper, including share shifts at brands like Typology, Amouage, Glowbar, and Rejuran, and what corporate strategy, insights, marketing, analytics, and finance teams should do about it. Key Takeaways The DTC slowdown is uneven. Where Beauty spend is moving as DTC softens, and which multi-brand retailers are pulling ahead. The clinical pivot. Where growth is concentrating in Beauty Products, and what’s pulling spend out of legacy mass and trend-led makeup. Generational rotation. How a younger cohort is reshaping the prestige tier and rewriting which names matter. The pro services channel shift. How spend is rebalancing across medspa, facial spa, and adjacent pro services, and which age cohort is unexpectedly accelerating. Clean Beauty matures. What happens to a category once retail channels absorb the brands, and what the next phase will resemble.

The Beauty consumer isn't just spending less. They're spending differently, and most internal research is too slow to catch where they're going next. - GableSince 16 Jun 2026
The most expensive question in a regulated bank is five words long: where did this field come from? It usually arrives from compliance or risk, triggered by an audit or a regulatory inquiry. On paper it sounds trivial. In practice it stops your roadmap. To answer it honestly, you pull your most senior engineers off what they were building and put them on archaeology. They trace a single value backwards through services, read through git history, and interview whoever still remembers how the pipeline worked two years ago. This is not an afternoon of work. It runs for weeks and burns hundreds of hours of your most expensive people. And here is what makes it worse. The moment they finish, the map is already wrong, because the code kept changing while they documented it. Then it happens again next quarter. Different field, different examiner, and last quarter's map is already useless. Why is such a simple question so expensive to answer? Because the answer does not live where everyone looks for it. It is not in the warehouse and it is not in the catalog. A regulated value is computed in application code, in a service, in a transformation that shipped three releases ago. The catalog can tell you where the data sits. It cannot tell you the logic that produced it, which is the only thing the examiner actually cares about. The teams that have stopped paying this tax did one thing. They moved lineage into the build. When field-level lineage is captured from the source code as part of CI, every release already carries its inputs and its transformation history. The next time someone asks where a field came from, it is a lookup, not a project. If your engineers are rebuilding lineage by hand every audit cycle, that is the most expensive work on your team that nobody ever put on a roadmap.

Your agents have digested most of your company's data. What they haven't touched yet is the partner ecosystem sitting right next to it. Adobe wired that same kind of data into a 5,000-person sales team, read-only, permissioned, no engineering lift required. Crossbeam MCP does the same for yours: your ecosystem, grabbed and wired directly into the agents your team already runs. Book a demo 👇

This is the story of a 38-year-old business school professor who outbounded his way to become the COO of a $2B company, became CEO 5 years later, then grew it more than 4x during his tenure. Gary Loveman is a PhD economist and was teaching at Harvard Business School in the 90s when he saw an interesting potential test case in Harrah's Entertainment for his ideas on how to identify high-value customers and ensure their loyalty. So he sent a letter to then-Harrah's CEO Phil Satre with some recommendations for the company. A few months later, he found himself with an offer to become Harrah's COO. He wanted to use data and scientific thinking to find the company's biggest levers for growth, so he set out launching the grandaddy of modern Vegas reward schemes: Harrah's "Total Gold" loyalty program. With the reams of customer data that "Total Gold" collected, Loveman and team realized that slots-heavy "AEPs" (for "avid experienced players") were the biggest profit center for Harrah's, not the stereotypical "high roller" many casinos were focused on at that time. Armed with that insight, Harrah's ran "hundreds of tests to see which incentives induced people to stay at the company’s hotels and to what degree. The results revealed that some, such as retail-store discounts, didn’t affect hotel bookings and could be eliminated. Moreover, if the money spent on them was reallocated to effective incentives, such as deeper room discounts, Harrah’s could boost both responsiveness and profits." By 2004, annual revenues were up to $4.6B (from $2B in 1998) and Loveman won his first of four consecutive "Best CEO in Gaming" awards. In 2005, the foundation Loveman had built on experimentation and data-driven strategy paved the way for their single largest expansion: acquiring Caesar's Entertainment for a whopping $10.4B. His instructions to the team? "There are only three ways to get fired here: theft, sexual harassment, and running an experiment without a control group." I first came across Gary's story in Stefan Thomke's "Experimentation Works", which I've been revisiting lately as it approaches it's fifth anniversary. You can ready Thomke and Loveman's co-authored article in HBR "Act Like a Scientist" - where the quotation about "hundreds of tests" comes from - here: https://lnkd.in/e2PU6P_G The pullquote in my image below is from an interview that Michael Schrage conducted with Loveman in 2011: https://lnkd.in/eckR5KtE
