Does every stage of RNA development need the same level of analytical resolution? Probably not. In our latest discussion on RNA manufacturing, Ashish Dhir, Mark Dickman and Francis Combes explore why a tiered approach to analytics could help teams balance speed, cost and analytical depth. For 5′ cap analysis, rapid or semi-quantitative methods can support process development, while higher-resolution approaches such as LC-MS can provide deeper characterisation later in development. The same trade-offs appear in residual DNA control. qPCR and ddPCR offer powerful detection capabilities, while DNase treatment introduces its own process considerations, from enzyme removal to performance under IVT conditions. The recurring question throughout the conversation: How can we generate analytical data quickly enough to improve the manufacturing process, without compromising the depth of information needed later? 🎧 Explore the full discussion: https://lnkd.in/eqNkdbyY

🧬The MYTHIC trial This Phase 1/1b, multi-center, open-label, dose-escalation study is currently being executed in biomarker-selected patients (CCNE1 amplification or deleterious FBXW7/PPP2R1A alterations), reflecting a shared biology of heightened replication stress and checkpoint dependency. (NCT04855656) Module 4 of the study is designed to evaluate safety and tolerability, define MTD and RP2D, characterize PK and pharmacodynamics, and assess preliminary anti-tumor activity for lunresertib in combination with zedoresertib. As presented at AACR 2026, early data readouts from MYTHIC suggest synthetic lethality between lunresertib and zedoresertib, with consistent tumor regressions observed. Strong signals of activity were observed with the combination, particularly in patients with platinum resistant or refractory ovarian cancer. 👇 Read more about lunresertib and the MYTHIC trial https://lnkd.in/dUeS9ztr https://lnkd.in/dfAtKP2M #DNADamageResponse #DDR #PKMYT1 #WEE1 #Oncology #ClinicalTrial #Debiopharm

When kidney filters are damaged, a protein called albumin leaks into the urine. This leakage signals widespread inflammation that can damage the heart and brain, increasing the risk of heart attack and stroke. Through Detect the SOS, we're working with partners to make sure this signal doesn't go unnoticed. A simple urine test can help detect this warning sign early. The urine albumin-to-creatinine ratio (uACR) test is a quick, simple way to identify this risk, especially for people living with type 2 diabetes or high blood pressure. 🎥 Watch Dr Neerja Balachander, Vice President for US Clinical Development Medical Affairs, Cardiovascular-Renal-Metabolism at Boehringer Ingelheim, discuss the importance of uACR testing at the Foreign Policy Health Forum. #DetectTheSOS #uACR #HeartHealth #KidneyHealth #GlobalHealth #UNGA81

We hear a version of the same question in almost every customer conversation and RFP: can we use generative AI in research workflows, and if so, how do we make sure the outputs pass regulatory scrutiny? The concern is legitimate. A peer-reviewed study published in JMIR Publications Mental Health in November 2025 found that nearly 20% of citations generated by GPT-4o in simulated literature reviews were fabricated, rising to 29% in less familiar or specialized topics. ISPOR—The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research 's ELEVATE-GenAI framework, published in Value in Health in November 2025, sets out what HEOR teams need to document when LLMs play a substantive role in their evidence. It is already referenced in NiCE 's position statement on AI in HTA submissions, and CDA and G-BA are following suit. Organizations submitting HEOR evidence to these bodies will increasingly be expected to document AI use against its 10 domains. Every extraction must be traceable to its source document. Model version and update governance must be documented. Outputs must be reproducible from the same document, prompt, and model version. Confidence levels must be communicated. All AI activity must be logged. General-purpose LLMs used through a chat interface cannot meet these requirements. Their outputs are non-deterministic by design, and training data provenance is opaque. The variability and inference beyond the source that make them useful for open-ended tasks are the same properties that make them indefensible in a regulatory submission. This is a problem specific to general-purpose LLMs. Deterministic AI has been part of systematic review workflows for years, including our own. DistillerSR's Smart Evidence Extraction (SEE) was purpose-built for regulated evidence environments. Every extraction is source-cited, every model version is traceable, and every AI suggestion requires a human decision that is logged to the audit record. Customer data is never used to train third-party models. Our new white paper maps SEE against all 10 ELEVATE-GenAI domains and explains what that means in practice for teams preparing HTA submissions. Read the white paper: https://lnkd.in/gsWtnn8M
