What can visual inspection reveal about manufacturing quality? Consistent inspection starts with an understanding of the product, its container, and the defects that may arise during manufacturing. In our latest article, we explore the AMClarity approach: risk assessment, tailored defect kits, microscopic characterization, and operator qualification. The article includes photographs of defect preparation and measurement, and considers how inspection data can guide process improvement. Read the article for a closer look at the process. #Anemocyte #AMCForward #BiotechInnovation

🧬 Overcoming the Immunogenicity Barrier One of the breakthroughs that made modern mRNA therapeutics possible was the use of modified nucleosides such as pseudouridine (Ψ) and N1-methylpseudouridine. Early synthetic mRNA molecules were often recognized by the innate immune system as foreign material. This could trigger inflammatory responses, accelerate RNA degradation and limit protein expression. Replacing standard uridine with modified nucleosides helped address these limitations in several ways: ✅ Reduced innate immune recognition Modified nucleosides can decrease activation of RNA-sensing pathways, helping the mRNA remain available for translation. ✅ Improved protein expression Greater molecular stability and more efficient interaction with the translation machinery can support higher and more consistent protein production. ✅ Longer functional persistence Increased resistance to cellular degradation can extend the duration of protein expression without the need to increase the administered dose. A small molecular modification helped transform synthetic mRNA into a practical platform for vaccines and a growing range of therapeutic applications. Anemocyte supports custom mRNA development and manufacturing with different nucleoside modification options, alongside a portfolio of off-the-shelf mRNA products. 👉 Explore our mRNA capabilities and available solutions: https://lnkd.in/d7kP9NyN #Anemocyte #AMCForward #BiotechInnovation #mRNA

🧬 Optimizing Lentiviral Vector Production: Why 3rd-Generation Plasmids Matter In lentiviral vector manufacturing, plasmid system design has a direct impact on safety, scalability and process performance. Third-generation lentiviral systems distribute the viral components across four plasmids, adding an extra layer of separation compared with earlier configurations. This architecture is widely used in research and clinical development because it supports a more controlled manufacturing strategy. Key advantages include: ✅ Enhanced safety profile Separating the rev gene onto an independent plasmid and using a Tat-independent 5′ LTR architecture helps reduce the risk of generating replication-competent lentivirus. ✅ High Scalability A well-designed plasmid system can support efficient transient transfection and consistent functional titers across development stages. ✅ Regulatory Compliance Using appropriate starting materials early helps simplify technology transfer and supports the transition from research to clinical manufacturing. Reliable plasmids are essential to keeping lentiviral vector programs on schedule. 👉 Explore Anemocyte’s off-the-shelf lentiviral plasmids and check availability: https://lnkd.in/dZ29k74k #Anemocyte #AMCForward #BiotechInnovation #Plasmids #LentiviralVectors #GeneTherapy
