Most kit manufacturers qualify a second Microplate Supplier only after the first one lets them down. I understand why. In an ELISA kit, the plate is a validated raw material. Changing it means revalidating every kit that uses it, so most teams stay with one supplier for years. The problem shows up when that supplier has a bad month. A lot ships late. A code gets discontinued. A formulation changes without anyone asking. At that point you are qualifying an alternative under pressure, with a release date moving and no time to do it properly. The kit manufacturers we talk to are starting this work earlier. They pick a second source while nothing is urgent, test it on their own timeline, and keep it ready. That's the conversation I'd like to have: not "switch today", but "be ready if you need to".

Understanding “which vaccine option would I use” and how vaccines are developed and manufactured adds an important dimension to veterinary education. We welcomed veterinary students nearing the completion of their training to BIOVAC for a seminar exploring the challenges of biological manufacturing, veterinary vaccine development, and broader trends in vaccinology. Visits to several production departments connected these discussions with the processes behind the products. For us, sharing our knowledge is part of supporting the next generation of veterinarians. Bringing students closer to vaccine research and production helps connect their academic training with the scientific expertise and practical considerations that shape veterinary preventive medicine.

That’s why we integrate 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 as a strategic part of our R&D activities, driving the development of more effective, sustainable, and science-based agricultural solutions. Metagenomics allows us to deeply and accurately study the 𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 -from soils to plant tissues- without the need to isolate or culture microorganisms. This opens a unique window into the microbial world interacting with crops, helping us to: 🌱 Identify 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 that support plant health. 🦠 Characterize 𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬 in our products (such as 𝘉𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘶𝘴 ) and validate their persistence and functionality under field conditions. 🧬 Develop more 𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, based on real ecosystem data from agricultural systems. 📊 Monitor the 𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 in real time with molecular-level precision. Our advanced bioinformatics tools generate comprehensive reports on microbial diversity, enabling our agronomists to assess soil and plant health and provide more 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 for sustainable nutrition and biostimulation strategies. This approach also provides a powerful tool for 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 the performance of biofertilizers and biostimulants in crop systems.
