Viral Arthritis/Tenosynovitis is a force to be reckoned with. Caused by Avian reovirus, it strikes where it hurts - targeting the flock’s tendons and joints and making it harder for birds to stay on their feet. And this villain has more than one way in. With both horizontal and vertical transmission, it can spread through direct contact and from infected breeders to the next generation. Every flock needs a hero that can take it on. Meet VIR 119 - the telekinetic one, always one step ahead of Viral Arthritis/Tenosynovitis. A freeze-dried live vaccine - Viral Arthritis/Tenosynovitis (Reo), strain S1133 - helping protect the flock and keep it healthy and on its feet Heroism is taking action when it matters.

Understanding “which vaccine option would I use” and how vaccines are developed and manufactured adds an important dimension to veterinary education. We welcomed veterinary students nearing the completion of their training to BIOVAC for a seminar exploring the challenges of biological manufacturing, veterinary vaccine development, and broader trends in vaccinology. Visits to several production departments connected these discussions with the processes behind the products. For us, sharing our knowledge is part of supporting the next generation of veterinarians. Bringing students closer to vaccine research and production helps connect their academic training with the scientific expertise and practical considerations that shape veterinary preventive medicine.

Japan - a land of tradition, precision, and fascinating duality. On the one hand, it can feel like living in the future. On the other, centuries-old traditions and social codes remain deeply rooted in everyday life. We bring that same attention to detail and precision to everything we do, helping keep flocks safe, healthy, and thriving. Want a little taste of Japan? Head to the first comment and try making your own chicken katsu.

The future of veterinary medicine walked through our doors. Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming veterinary students for a behind-the-scenes tour of Biovac. From our R&D laboratories to professional lectures, we shared a glimpse into the science, innovation, and passion that drive us every day. But what stayed with us the most wasn't what we taught. It was curiosity, the thoughtful questions, the excitement to learn. Because those students represent the future of veterinary medicine, and perhaps, one day, some of them will walk through these halls again... this time as colleagues. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. For the future of science.

Infectious Bronchitis (IB) never knows when to quit, does it? It targets the kidneys while disrupting the reproductive system, significantly reducing egg quality and production. That's why you need a hero that moves faster than the threat. Meet Vir 117, the flock's speedster. Racing at ultrasonic speed, it's always one step ahead of IB and ready to stop its next move before it gains momentum. As a live freeze-dried vaccine against IB/strain 317 (type 793B), Vir 117 knows its opponent inside and out. It understands its weaknesses and acts with remarkable speed to help protect the flock when it matters most. Heroism is most effective when well prepared.
