$24,666 raised (and counting). Hundreds showing up. One cause that matters. Last Friday and Saturday, coinciding with World Mental Health Day, Aurora Healthcare teams, families and communities came together across Australia for Move For More, raising funds for Suicide Prevention Australia. For many across our Aurora community, it meant giving up part of their weekend to stand alongside colleagues, friends and neighbours for a cause that matters deeply. And that commitment speaks volumes. This Mental Health Month, Mental Health Australia's theme Together We Thrive reminds us of the power of connection, community and belonging. Beyond the fundraising, we're proud of the conversations started, the connections strengthened and the genuine care shown by our Aurora community. But we're not stopping at $24,666! Every additional donation helps support the vital work of Suicide Prevention Australia, and we want to see just how much more we can achieve together. Help us push our fundraising total even higher. Donate, share our campaign and encourage others to get behind Move For More. Let's see what more we can achieve together! 👉 https://lnkd.in/gBBp9ghd With thanks to our major donating sponsors Medibank Group, Bidfood Australia Ltd, Slade Pharmacy.

Oncology drug development has a difficult mandate: move promising therapies forward faster while maintaining rigorous standards for safety and clinical benefit. The challenge is substantial. An estimated 3.4% of oncology drug candidates entering clinical development ultimately reach approval, among the lowest success rates across therapeutic areas [1]. More efficient development strategies can help improve how promising therapies are identified and evaluated. In a meta-analysis of 570 phase II oncology trials, biomarker-guided approaches were associated with response rates of 31%, compared with 10.5% for non-personalized strategies [2]. Adaptive trial designs and master protocols, including basket, umbrella and platform trials, can allow researchers to evaluate multiple hypotheses more efficiently and adapt studies as evidence emerges [3,4,6]. Expedited regulatory programs and earlier interaction with regulators can help address development questions sooner [5]. AI and advanced computational approaches are also being explored across trial design, patient selection, recruitment, and data analysis [7]. These approaches are not about weakening the evidentiary standard, but about reducing avoidable delays, improving decision-making and concentrating resources on therapies with the strongest potential to benefit patients. Faster oncology development means generating the right evidence more efficiently and delivering meaningful innovation to patients sooner. #Oncology #CancerResearch #PrecisionOncology #TranslationalMedicine #PersonalizedMedicine #MedicalInnovation #FutureOfMedicine #Biotechnology

🎗️ What drives progress in liver cancer care? 📢 Not just one innovation. Not just one treatment. Not just one specialist. According to Prof. Maxime Ronot, some of the greatest advances in recent years have come from combining different treatment approaches and bringing experts together around the same patient. 💡 Because when expertise is shared and treatments are coordinated, patients can benefit from more tailored care and better outcomes. 🎥 Episode 2️⃣ of our Liver Cancer Awareness Month series explores why collaboration remains at the heart of modern liver cancer management. #Guerbet #LiverCancerAwarenessMonth #LiverCancer #CancerCare #PatientCare #Radiology #HealthcareInnovation

At our Carer Industry Forum 26, more than 220 senior leaders came together to reflect on the progress made since Forum 25 — from relationships forged and collective leadership to collaboration in action. Over seven months, our organisations have worked together on 15 carer support initiatives to improve awareness of carers across the health sector and connect them with support when they need it. Some pilots are now in their second or third iteration as we build on what works and look to expand their impact. At the heart of this work is recognising the critical role carers play in supporting the health and wellbeing of care recipients. Jane Rowan of Eating Disorders Families Australia (EDFA), put it powerfully: “Caring for the carer is not negotiable. If we want the people they care for to have quality of life and to recover where possible, carers are the essential core ingredient to that.” Read more about Carer Industry Forum 26: https://lnkd.in/gbGnhcwX
