Taking the first step towards care can sometimes feel overwhelming. Accessing it should feel supportive. At Aurora Healthcare, we’re improving our technology and the way we welcome and guide patients, making access to care more patient friendly across our hospital network. We’re proud to introduce these improvements at both Currumbin Clinic and Belmont Private Hospital, ahead of a planned rollout across our other Aurora hospitals. Our promise is simple: clearer steps, better support and a personal connection throughout the process. Behind every improvement are our people, ready to listen, answer questions and help patients feel supported on their journey to wellness. We’re improving our technology to make care easier to access. Our people make every step feel personal. People First. People Always.

$24,666 raised (and counting). Hundreds showing up. One cause that matters. Last Friday and Saturday, coinciding with World Mental Health Day, Aurora Healthcare teams, families and communities came together across Australia for Move For More, raising funds for Suicide Prevention Australia. For many across our Aurora community, it meant giving up part of their weekend to stand alongside colleagues, friends and neighbours for a cause that matters deeply. And that commitment speaks volumes. This Mental Health Month, Mental Health Australia's theme Together We Thrive reminds us of the power of connection, community and belonging. Beyond the fundraising, we're proud of the conversations started, the connections strengthened and the genuine care shown by our Aurora community. But we're not stopping at $24,666! Every additional donation helps support the vital work of Suicide Prevention Australia, and we want to see just how much more we can achieve together. Help us push our fundraising total even higher. Donate, share our campaign and encourage others to get behind Move For More. Let's see what more we can achieve together! 👉 https://lnkd.in/gBBp9ghd With thanks to our major donating sponsors Medibank Group, Bidfood Australia Ltd, Slade Pharmacy.

Healing isn't linear. And mental health challenges don't always look the way we expect. "Recovery is being able to say, 'I'm not okay, and I need help." Kate's honest reflection on maintaining more than eight years of sobriety captures an important truth: recovery isn't about having it all together. It's about recognising when you need support and having the courage to ask for it. We're proud to support conversations that shine a light on the realities of recovery, including the moments when people may appear to be coping on the outside while facing significant challenges beneath the surface. What we particularly appreciated about this episode was the honesty from Claudia and Kate. Their willingness to acknowledge that recovery isn't a straight line, and to openly discuss taking time away from the podcast to focus on their own wellbeing, reflects a reality many people experience but few talk about. Episode One of Why Do I feel This Way shares a powerful lived experience of addiction, bulimia and finding a way forward. It's a conversation that reinforces the importance of self-awareness, support, and giving yourself permission to take the time you need. For clinicians, families and those navigating their own mental health journey, this is the kind of resource worth sharing. Sometimes hearing someone else's experience can help start a conversation, provide perspective, or simply remind someone they're not alone. Thank you, Claudia and Kate, for creating space for honest conversations about recovery, setbacks and resilience. 🎧 Listen to Episode One now.
