“When collective action starts to work, carers benefit. Which means the people they care for benefit. And when this happens, everyone benefits. That’s why everything we do is for carers.” - Collective Leadership Group At our Carer Industry Forum 2026, 220 senior leaders came together to celebrate the progress made since Forum 2025 and strengthen collective efforts to improve support for carers. The relationships built at Forum 2025, brought together leaders from across the health and education sectors to develop 15 initiatives to strengthen carer recognition and support. Seven months on, all 15 initiatives are being piloted, with projects at different stages of development and delivery. The ambition is to turn collaboration into lasting change - improving, adapting and scaling what works, to make a meaningful difference for as many carers as possible. We look forward to sharing more about these projects in the coming months!

At our Carer Industry Forum 26, more than 220 senior leaders came together to reflect on the progress made since Forum 25 — from relationships forged and collective leadership to collaboration in action. Over seven months, our organisations have worked together on 15 carer support initiatives to improve awareness of carers across the health sector and connect them with support when they need it. Some pilots are now in their second or third iteration as we build on what works and look to expand their impact. At the heart of this work is recognising the critical role carers play in supporting the health and wellbeing of care recipients. Jane Rowan of Eating Disorders Families Australia (EDFA), put it powerfully: “Caring for the carer is not negotiable. If we want the people they care for to have quality of life and to recover where possible, carers are the essential core ingredient to that.” Read more about Carer Industry Forum 26: https://lnkd.in/gbGnhcwX
