Ante una enfermedad que afecta a cientos de miles de personas cada año, no hay espacio para respuestas aisladas. Es un reto demasiado grande para hacerle frente desde un solo estamento, por lo que ayer en la Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer sentamos en la misma mesa a investigadores, pacientes, profesionales y al sector empresarial para trabajar unidos. 🔬 Todos los avances llegan de la investigación y gracias a ella la supervivencia sigue aumentando. Pero los fondos europeos que impulsaron su crecimiento han finalizado y el cáncer corre el riesgo de perder prioridad y recursos justo cuando más los necesita. Y cuando la investigación se frena, quienes lo pagan son los pacientes, con un ensayo que no se abre o un tratamiento que llega tarde. 💙 Estoy convencido de que las empresas son aliadas imprescindibles, no solo por los recursos, sino por su visión estratégica y el compromiso de sus equipos. Apoyar la investigación en cáncer es una de las respuestas más tangibles que puede dar una empresa a la sociedad, porque cada euro que invertimos es tiempo que devolvemos a las personas. Un evento en el que reconocimos el apoyo de 5 grandes empresas colaboradoras: Iberdrola, El Corte Inglés, Fundación Ramón Areces, Procter & Gamble - Ausonia y Loterías y Apuestas del Estado.
