How can mental health and psychosocial wellbeing contribute to peace, and how can #peacebuilding support psychosocial recovery? To mark #WorldMentalHealthDay, we’re sharing the recording of our online event, which featured speakers from #Somalia, #Rwanda, #Syria and #Yemen. The discussion explored how mental health and peacebuilding can reinforce one another throughout the conflict cycle, and how lived experience can inform programmes, policies and institutions. 🎥 Watch the recording: https://brnw.ch/21x6iZc

“People who have lived through conflict also have knowledge, coping strategies, resilience, and ideas about what would actually work in their communities. We need to listen to those experiences not only when we assess needs, but also when we design programs, define priorities, and shape policies.”-Jeyana Ahmed (Salam for Hope Foundation) Thank you to all our speakers and guests for joining us for this important conversation on connecting mental health and #peacebuilding across the conflict cycle, and learning from lived experience for #WorldMentalHealthDay. Stay tuned for the event recording, coming soon!

Our Berghof colleagues took part in today’s Berlin Climate Security Conference #BCSC2026! The conference brought together perspectives from diplomacy, defence, development, business and finance, an important breadth for addressing the links between #ClimateChange and security. But recognition alone is not enough. Climate and conflict analysis needs to inform the decisions institutions are already making. Climate pressures affect access to water, food and livelihoods, while also creating risks for infrastructure, supply chains and economic stability. In the video below, our Senior Climate & Peace Advisor Nazanine Moshiri shares key takeaways from the conference. She highlights why strengthening security must go hand in hand with investing in resilience and development, and why stronger partnerships and practical financing are needed to turn climate risk assessments into action. adelphi Climate Diplomacy and Security

Ahead of the Berlin Climate and Security Conference #BCSC2026, our Senior Climate Advisor Nazanine Moshiri explores how we can turn growing recognition of climate security into meaningful action. In her latest blog, she argues that moving from commitments to concrete change requires more than political recognition. It means bringing together governments, businesses, local authorities and peacebuilding practitioners to address the complex links between #ClimateChange, conflict and inequality. 👉: https://lnkd.in/ez2xrVXT
