Zero outbound opportunities to $3.6 million in pipeline in a single year. That's not a hypothetical, that's what Schoox and CaseIQ actually did. "It's work. It's deep work. It's a real job." Lucie Guillerminet isn't talking about a campaign. She means the part you never see on a media plan: getting internal teams, outside partners, and lots of opinions to agree on one direction and stick with it. Episode 2 of Carpool is out now. We recorded it in a Pontiac at Cannes Lions with Jean-Daniel Germain, VP Marketing at Camphouse. Lucie led marketing for Match Group's Match/Meetic division (ex). She started in agencies, moved to media at Dentsu, then AB InBev, and later into tech. This background gives her a unique perspective on how a media background can make a difference. Her answer: it brings the media conversation to the beginning. We think from the start, from the creativity and the message, about how it will be amplified and shared. In just ten minutes, you'll also hear: → Why the trade-off between creative and media planning is really about budget first, not creativity. Production, creativity, and strategy all use the same budget as amplification. → Why having more data isn't useful unless it's comparable. "It's about getting all teams and plans on the same page so you can compare what you're doing. → Why just confirming delivery is only the starting point: "The most interesting thing is, what is the impact of what has been delivered? → What she learned about the long-term value of brands, and what Lucie found in tech when she expected everything to be fully trackable. → And the daily challenge she faces: balancing the need for immediate revenue with the slower process of building a brand. We need to move beyond click-through rates. Joining us as a guest in our latest Camphouse Carpool Cannes episode is Mibbie Plouvier, Global Head of Programmatic at SAS Institute. Measuring programmatic results in B2B is uniquely challenging. A click only shows that someone took action, not whether they were interested. That’s why Mibbie’s team focuses on how much time people spend with the brand, valuing engagement quality over quantity. They use their own tools to track this. The conversation also focused on consistency. For fifty years, SAS has managed media buying in-house. They use a shared set of guidelines, so every market follows the same process. A strong ad keeps running, even after the team is tired of seeing it. "There's something beautiful about consistency. If you have a great ad, keep it running even if people get tired of it." Innovation may get attention, but consistency delivers results. Link to the full episode in the comments 👇🏼. #CarpoolSeries #Cannes2026 #MediaOps #MediaPlanning

Everyone is chasing the Retail Media revenue dream, but far fewer are talking about the operational requirements that actually go in to delivering and maintaining it. In my experience, a typical day for any Retail Media team lead presents a chaotic balancing act involving multiple stakeholders. A brand pushing its latest NPD launch, buyers warning of low stock and the need for extra promotional support. Store ops worries about shopper friction, Marketing is planning its latest category event and IT is stuck amongst spiralling integration requests…all while leadership demands to know where all that incremental revenue is... Sound familiar...? 😳 The reality is that establishing a profitable In-store Retail Media Network isn’t just about installing hardware or switching on programmatic pipes. After all, you're building an enterprise grade media company, often right in the middle of a legacy retail business… That's where the friction lives. Your biggest hurdles won’t be the tech; they’ll come from winning the hearts and minds of colleagues. Success ultimately depends on aligning business requirements, managing clashing KPIs, and designing workflows that scale. The winners aren’t necessarily those with the most screens or the slickest installation. They are the operators who mastered the orchestration of data, inventory, and stakeholder management before they ever set out on scaling. Instead of asking how fast can I go live, ask yourself: Is my organisation actually ready to run a professional, competitive media business? To those tasked with building an In-store Retail Media Network: what’s the biggest internal silo or operational headache you had to break down before everything started to gel..? I’d love to hear about those battle scars in the comments. 👇🏼 #retailmedia #instore #stakeholderalignment #operationalsuccess #broadsign

- Distinctive BATSince 6 Oct 2026
When we discuss improving levels of distinctiveness and utilising DBAs, we are generally talking about what happens beyond the logo. In most cases, the logo and a consistent application and elevation should simply be a given. That said, because so much of a brand's identity cascades from that primary mark, it can significantly influence a brand's direction when planning for long-term distinctiveness. The logo debranding trend seen in recent years, which has focused on the paring back of logos, highlights the negative knock-on effects a poorly thought-out design can have on the rest of a brand. In addition, relying solely on words within a logo to communicate a brand is a misguided perspective. The Dual Coding Theory, for example, suggests that the brain processes verbal and visual information through two distinct channels. When a logo utilises both text and a distinctive graphic element, the brain creates two separate "memory traces": one for the word and one for the image. I like an even simpler example of this to paint the picture. Which would stick more in your mind if you were driving down the road: the word “Shell” written out in plain letters on a big poster, or the iconic brand icon?

Ever wonder why some “qualified” leads go absolutely nowhere, even after ticking every box on the checklist? Here's a story about enterprise procurement that explains a lot. Large companies often already know exactly who they're going to buy from before a formal process even starts. But procurement policy requires five, six, seven competing bids. So someone gets sent out to find other vendors, run them through sales calls, let them believe there's a real opportunity – and never intend to buy from any of them. It's just there to get procurement off their back and approve the deal everyone already agreed to. Every box on the checklist gets ticked. Budget: yes. Authority: yes. Timing: yes. But for the vendor, the deal was never real. This is why frameworks like hashtag#MEDDIC can't save you. You can have budget, authority, and urgency all confirmed, and still lose the deal – because the buyer never intended to buy from you in the first place. Dale W. Harrison unpacks this on the B2B Effectiveness series: Evidence-Based Marketing Ideas for B2B Practitioners. Watch the full episode here. Have you ever been the “sacrificial vendor” in a bid process like this?

Did you know, the Apollo spacesuit was built by a bra company? When NASA needed a spacesuit flexible enough for astronauts to work on the Moon, aerospace companies struggled to solve it. Yet Playtex had already developed the ability to make latex both airtight and flexible – exactly what NASA needed. It’s a great example of something we often miss in B2B: the best opportunity isn’t necessarily the biggest account, the most recognizable name or the one showing the strongest engagement signals. It’s the opportunity where what you sell – and how you sell it – is the strongest fit for what the buyer needs. Dale W. Harrison tells the full story in Episode 5 of B2B Effectiveness: Evidence-Based Marketing Ideas for B2B Practitioners. Check out the full episode.
