Two of our hotels clients & one of our Manufacturing clients are finalists in the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) Energy Awards 2026. And we are so proud of the work we have done and are still doing with them. But they are not finalists just because of our work at Watt Footprint. They are finalists because they decided that their energy consumption and management needed to be prioritised and addressed. That's what's key here. It's mindset change and attitude towards your energy usage that is vital. Energy is not a fixed cost, it can be controlled and your business can further it's energy efficiency. When your ready to make Energy consumption a priority for your business, Watt Footprint will help you. Well done and best of luck to Mullingar Park Hotel , Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Sligo & Abcon Industrial Products Ltd in the awards this November.

Ireland's energy subsidy iniatives for businesses is not perfect but it is quite progressive in comparison to other countries. If you look at the grants & funding available for Hotels and manufacturers to help reduce energy consumption, I count at least 8 for Hotels & 10 for manufacturers. This funding is available for everything from implementing Solar, to upgrading a buildings insulation, to reducing energy costs through proper energy monitoring. And it's not just coming from one body. Local Enterprise Offices, Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), Enterprise Ireland & the IDA Ireland all have funding available to help with businesses energy bills, from small retailers to large manufacturers. But this comes back to my previous posts, business owners need to start capitalising on these initiatives to de-risk themselves. If your unclear on what's the best way forward for your business; get in touch and I will make this much clearer for you.
