“We’re all on the same page when it comes to precision. If it’s not perfect, we take it down and start again. These are the finishes that people see as soon as they walk into a building.” - Aaron, one of our Master Level Carpenters on a finish interior carpentry project. At this site, TenM was initially brought on to complete the interior millwork in the dining area. Impressed by the precision and finish of our work, the developer entrusted us with the complete interior finish carpentry for the building.

Downtown Utica is buzzing with new energy, and we’re proud to be a part of it! Our team completed framing for the Artspace Utica Lofts in December 2024 - a 43-unit live/work apartment complex supporting local artists and their families. This four-story project sits between the Stanley Center for the Arts and Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute and features: ✔️ Affordable units for creative minds ✔️ 770 sq. ft. of community space ✔️ A resident gallery for connection #Utica Artspace Projects, Inc. #UticaArt

We know that great teams are built not just on talent but on the ability to align diverse strengths toward a shared goal. And no two people capture that better than Joseph Cone and Gary Schiffer! Joe Cone, our COO, is the engine that drives every project from award to completion. With an eye for detail and a steady hand on the wheel, he ensures our teams stay on track and our work stays top-tier. Joe leads all field operations while keeping the financials dialed in, supporting our bonding capacity and strengthening TenM’s financial foundation for the long haul. Gary Schiffer, our CEO, is the big-picture guy. A creative thinker and culture-builder, Gary leads the charge on sales, marketing, and vision. He’s all about chemistry, relationships, and planning for what’s next - whether that’s the next hire or the next big opportunity. Sure, they might not see eye to eye on which NFL team to cheer for (Eagles vs. Chiefs), but when it comes to the mission of TenM, they’re perfectly aligned!

The Virginia Greens multifamily project in Williamsburg, VA, is a real-world example of how a multi-trade approach can protect your schedule and your sanity. When we were brought onto the job by long-time GC partner Mike G., we were awarded framing, siding, doors, and trim for kitchens. Thanks to our integrated structure, we hit every milestone on time, with no trade conflicts or change order chaos. “They came in with enough manpower to get the job done and in the timeline I needed,” Mike says. “Multi-trade is so attractive to general contractors because it removes the stress of managing everyone on the job site. So much easier having one company to communicate with.”
