Back when I worked in global brand at L'Oréal I remember the feeling of building for millions of consumers we rarely spoke to. We had endless historical data but really just two options when it came to new product testing and consumer research: 1 - Slow, costly research studies and/or focus groups that took months and weren’t tied to actual purchase behavior. Basically, for the biggest launches. 2 - The “quick and dirty.” Running around floors, chasing colleagues to try out formulas, critique concepts, and tear apart our work before our bosses could (if you know, you know). We didn’t have an option that combined robust research with speed and ease. Fast forward: after years in ecommerce, tech and digital media, my cofounder Alex and I knew there had to be a simpler, faster, more affordable way for brands to tap consumer feedback for product testing, consumer research, and activation. Enter Sourcerie - designed for modern brands: 👯 Build your own always-on test community made up of your actual customer base (+ an external panel on demand if you need it) ⚡ Run projects in days, not months - with as many follow-ups as you like. 🎯 Advanced targeting (35-year-old women into scalp health + sustainability? Of course. High LTV vs churned? That too). 📦 Forget floor testing or manual shipping - samples + incentives are fully automated. 📊 See results roll in real-time with AI summaries + charts you’ll actually want to share. 💸 Affordable enough to use regularly, so customer feedback isn’t a once-in-a-while luxury, but part of your everyday workflow. It’s the tool I wish I’d had back when I was a brand owner. And now it’s powering better product launches, stronger retention, and smarter insights for today’s fastest-growing brands. [📸 photo of me re-living those “floor-testing” days in NYC the other week with Alesia - lifelong friends were definitely the upside of all that chaos 💜]

If you told the girl hanging on to a half naked male model at a L’Oreal Christmas party that she’d become a B2B SaaS founder, she’d have laughed you out of the room. 🎄😂 I started my career at L’Oréal, launching new products and developing big global campaigns. I used to chase customer feedback the old-fashioned way - slow focus groups, expensive research panels, or running around the floors of our NYC midtown high-rise, asking colleagues to “just try this.” When Alex and I first started Sourcerie, it wasn’t even a B2B business. It was a consumer marketplace powered by community data. But then brands started asking, “Can you help us do this too?” So we did. And that experiment then snowballed into what Sourcerie is today: A next-gen, always-on consumer panel that helps marketing and product teams test, learn, and launch faster - using their own community (and our external panel when they need it). It’s the tool I wish I’d had back at L’Oréal - something fast, connected, and built for modern brands. And now, it’s powering better product launches and campaigns, smarter consumer insights, and stronger communities for the next generation of marketing and product leaders. 💜 It’s not the business we originally set out to build, but somewhere between pivots, late nights, and “is this crazy or brilliant?” conversations, it became exactly what it needed to be. And this year, seeing Sourcerie take off has made that clearer than ever. (Throwback photo included, because if I’m going to go there, I might as well commit.) 🎄✨

One of the biggest challenges in consumer research? Everyone says everything is important. At Sourcerie we built the modern consumer panel infrastructure for brands on Shopify - samples, incentives, community recruitment, email comms, owned and external panelists in one place, even targeting based on purchase data. And then brands said, “Cool. Now help us figure out what actually matters.” Ask people to rate 8 benefits… and somehow they’re all “very important.” (Helpful? Not so much.) That’s why we’re releasing our newest question type: Ranking. A simple but incredibly powerful way to force real trade-offs and uncover what your customers actually prioritize. Perfect for questions like: • Which product benefits matter most? • Which flavors should launch first? • Which claims resonate strongest? • Which ideas should get deprioritized (the unsung hero of decision-making)? Ranking cuts through the noise and tells you what rises to the top - and what can go. And of course, it works seamlessly within the Sourcerie workflow - alongside automated sampling, owned community targeting, external panel testing, and everything else teams at modern brands use to run product testing and consumer studies in days, not months. This one’s been requested by… well, pretty much everyone. It’s live now. 💜

You can nail the product, nail the story, nail the launch - and still ruin it with the wrong price. When we built Sourcerie, we focused on helping modern brands figure out what to launch, how to perfect it, who it’s for, and how to talk about it - all by co-creating with their community and layering in external insight. So naturally, the next thing brands asked us was: “Cool. Now tell us what to charge.” Fair. Pricing is one of the hardest decisions in CPG. Everyone wants to get it right, but: - You don’t want to price too low and devalue the product - You don’t want to price too high and scare people off - And the worst part? Most customers will never tell you directly Which is why we’ve added a classic new question type - but made it super simple to use and understand: Pricing Sensitivity (Van Westendorp model). It asks four standardized questions that get at: - “Too cheap” - “A bargain” - “Expensive” - “Too expensive” Then it calculates your optimal price range - not a single magic number - which is exactly what teams need when launching a new product, entering a new channel, or gut-checking a price increase. Compared to more rigid methods like Gabor–Granger, Van Westendorp gives brands a broader (and honestly, more realistic) view of what customers will accept. And of course - it works seamlessly inside Sourcerie, alongside automated product send-outs & rewards, community vs. external panel testing, and everything else our brands are already using to run studies in days, not months. Pricing Sensitivity is now live. Your CFO will thank you. 💜

When we first launched Sourcerie, we were moving so fast that our survey question types were… let’s call it… “delightfully simple.” Because honestly? We weren’t trying to build another survey tool. We were focused on building the platform that enables brands to co-create with their community - testing new concepts and products and automating everything from product send-outs to recruitment, comms, follow-ups, and insights. The whole messy process, not just the survey form. And for a long time, the basics were enough. Brands were thrilled to get feedback in days - not months. But then something shifted. As more teams started using Sourcerie to replace their traditional product testing and consumer panel tools - not just supplement - the message became very clear: “Love the speed. Love the automation. Now let us go deeper.” So today, we’re rolling out our most-requested question type ever: Matrix. The classic “rate these items on the same scale” format you’re used to from old-school research tools - but finally built inside a modern workflow that doesn’t make you want to throw out your laptop. Use it to ask things like: - How important are these factors in a purchase decision? - How satisfied were you with each of the following? - To what extent do you agree or disagree with these statements? Basically, anything where you want structured, comparable data - without forcing respondents through 15 separate questions. It’s live today. Simple to build. Clean to read. Loved by literally every brand person we’ve shown it to. And yes, it’s just one of many deeper research features coming your way. Onward. 💜

If there’s one thing our team at Sourcerie loses sleep over… it’s making sure every single project that our customers run in our platform absolutely lands. We obsess over response rates, insights quality, speedy timelines, ease of UX... all of it. So when our brand new customer’s very first consumer study came back with a 99% response rate, we were delighted. (For my fellow Americans: “chuffed" = super pleased. Brits do not casually admit emotions, so this is big. In American speak, this Slack convo might look more like "GUYS, ****ING CRUSHED IT!" 😅 ) Here's why EVERY project get such high engagement through our platform: - Smart user selection - Managed comms + double opt-ins - Product sendouts, sampling + incentives fully handled in-platform Chuffed.
