EEBDs save lives at sea. But where you place them can decide whether they’re reached in time ⏱️🚢 Onboard a vessel, seconds lost searching for an EEBD can quickly become the difference between escape and entrapment. Yet placement is still too often treated as a tick-box compliance task rather than a performance decision. In our latest Marine Industry Guide, we explore how smarter EEBD positioning can significantly reduce time-to-escape, using a risk-based, real-world lens shaped by crew behaviour, vessel layout and regulatory realities. 👇 Read the full guide and rethink EEBD placement onboard. https://lnkd.in/e2kGRSfu #MarineSafety #TimeToEscape

When it comes to EEBDs onboard, many decisions are made once and then rarely revisited 🚢⏱️ Mounted during build, ticks the SOLAS box...and stays put. But placement isn't a one-time decision. It's a Time-to-Escape decision. In our marine industry guide, we explore how smarter EEBD positioning can significantly reduce time-to-escape, using a risk-based, real-world lens shaped by crew behaviour, vessel layout and regulatory realities. Not just where EEBDs must be. Where they should be. 👇 Read the full guide here: https://lnkd.in/e2kGRSfu #MarineSafety #TimeToEscape

This marine industry guide explores how positioning influences escape behaviour and how operators can reduce time-to-escape.

Many vessels are technically compliant on EEBD provision. But placement, visibility and hesitation are what often determine how quickly crews escape. This practical guide looks at EEBD positioning from an escape-time perspective, not just a compliance one.
