Is legal along for the ride, or helping steer? On Evolving with Jessica Nguyenyen, Molly Finn shares how real alignment comes from in-house counsel going beyond compliance to own business outcomes. The best legal partnerships come from teams that show up as part of the core business, take smart risks, and hold themselves accountable for results. Sandstone handles the routine work, so in-house teams can spend their time where it matters: on the decisions that move the business forward. Watch the full episode of Evolving. Link in comments.

Will AI replace legal? Alexandra Sepulveda's take: not the part that matters most. On the latest episode of Evolving with Jessica Nguyen, Alexandra, Assistant General Counsel at Trust & Will, explains why legal judgment can't be commoditized. A lawyer’s real value is knowing when to pull a thread from one matter and apply it to the one in front of you. That's the human touch, and it's why the best legal AI tools should support judgment, not try to replace it. Full episode linked in the comments.

Episode 9 of Evolving with Jessica Nguyen is live. Jessica sat down with Molly Finn, Principal of Finn Law, A Professional Corporation, and former VP, Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at eBay. Molly’s path to nearly two decades at eBay ran through a chaotic semiconductor startup and an embedded role inside Cisco’s HR team. Now she’s bringing that same curiosity to AI, building her own custom tools and learning firsthand how easily they go off course. Her take on what’s next: AI can make lawyers better, but only if someone is watching where it drifts. Listen to the full episode in the comments:

After two decades of always lining up the next role, Virginia H. Johnson took time off to figure out what she actually wanted. Her advice for anyone weighing a leap: bet on yourself. Our CLO Jessica Nguyen sat down with Virginia Johnson, Partner at OGC (Outside General Counsel LLP), VC advisor at Mendoza Ventures and Bombellii Ventures, and former CLO of Aspen Aerogels. They talked about the sabbatical that reset her priorities and why nearly every career move she’s made traced back to a relationship. She also shares the red flags that make her pass on a role, no matter how good it looks on paper. Full episode linked in the comments.

Rebuilding Sandstone's entire frontend with a small army of Claude Code agents and a team of one designer + one engineer. This is how it all works: · One coordinator keeps the records and runs the loop. · Builders own a component each and its PR stack. · Reviewers read every stack from a design point of view and judge it against our Figma specs. · Thinkers answer Builders’ questions on tokens, icons, specs and content. · Fixers triage mid-migration bugs and spec the fixes. How I keep it cheap(ish): lanes report once per event in a fixed format. Silence means recorded, and no lane sends acknowledgements. Records live in Linear and git, not in chat, so a session can compact or hand off without losing the thread. An hourly sweep verifies PR state in one pass instead of every session polling. Fewer, denser messages, and a lot less re-reading.

"Review this MSA by Friday, please?" A request like that is already sitting in a Microsoft Teams chat somewhere. Now it goes straight into Sandstone. Tag your legal bot, or let Sandstone flag legal requests on its own. It pulls in context, matches similar past requests, then answers the routine ones or routes the rest for approval. Reply as the bot or as yourself. Legal shows up where the business already works. Book a demo. Link in comments.
