I was the only Black woman in my year to declare a computer science major. Although some things haven’t changed, 2025 proved the steps we have made for college-aged women today. This was a big year for Reboot Representation. With our partners, we: 1️⃣Achieved our founding mission of doubling the number of BLNA women completing bachelor’s degrees, 2 years early. 2️⃣Launched our new mission to invest in the success of BLNA women and girls in emerging technological fields. 3️⃣Celebrated the Class of 2025—the next generation stepping into the most dynamic corners of emerging tech, with the vision, expertise, and insight the industry needs. If there’s anything we should take into the new year, it’s that the work isn’t done. We still need to invest in degrees, how BLNA girls get there, and what happens after they graduate, so they have the support they need every step of the way. I’m excited to see the brilliance of the next generation of technologists in emerging tech.

Students are the future of emerging technologies—and their success begins long before college. We know that women who try AP computer science in high school are ten times more likely to major in it in college. One class can put these young people on the path to innovation in emerging technological fields. That’s why we’re celebrating the teachers, organizations, and advocates inspiring the next generation of technologists this #CSEdWeek. Their contributions are showing us computer science still matters, and will offer young people an edge in the years to come. 💻https://lnkd.in/dCYK_J6S #CSPowersAI

I’m often asked: is the math still mathing on computing degrees? Here’s what I say ➡️ A middle school student today might be behind the next big AI platform—and they need computer science to get there. As AI changes the world, we need to focus on teaching students not just what to learn, but how to learn. That means equipping students to excel in rigorous classes like AP computer science. That’s why, I’m celebrating the teachers, organizations, and advocates inspiring BLNA students in school to learn computer science and shape the tech fields of the future this #CSEdWeek. 💻https://lnkd.in/ecuTWMvJ #CSPowersAI

From AI to quantum computing, students are learning and stepping into a constantly evolving tech industry. 👉🏾 Our role? Equipping Black, Latina, and Native American women and girls with the skills, support, and networks they need to enter computing degree programs—and excel beyond them. This #GivingTuesday, consider giving to one of our partners who ensure more young people have the support they need at every step of the way. 🫶 https://lnkd.in/gvTEtMmE

Native American Heritage Month is one of many opportunities to honor generations of problem-solvers and innovators whose creativity continues to shape the world around us. This month, we celebrate Reboot Scholars—Native women using their computing expertise to imagine a more connected and sustainable industry. They’re changing the future of tech with community, care, and creativity at the center. As we listen, grow, and partner with AISES, Natives Rising, and American Indian College Fund, we’re excited to continue championing more Native girls and women to build the futures they envision. Join me in congratulating this class of graduates, and celebrating the brilliance of the classes to come! ⬇️
