𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗟𝗬 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗧-𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 Weaning is one of the most challenging periods in a piglet's life. The abrupt transition from milk to solid feed, combined with social and environmental stress, occurs at a time when the gut is still immature. This makes piglets more sensitive to nutritional and environmental challenges that may contribute to post-weaning digestive disorders, diarrhea risk and performance losses. To help producers address this challenge, Adisseo's approach focuses on a key concept: supporting gut resilience throughout the weaning period. Because post-weaning diarrhea is a multifactorial issue, successful prevention requires a comprehensive approach that combines management, nutrition and health strategies. The approach highlights three complementary pillars: • 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲 piglets for weaning by supporting early feed intake and digestive readiness, notably through solutions such as Delistart® and Rovabio®. • 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 gut integrity during this critical transition by supporting gut structure and helping piglets cope with digestive challenges through targeted nutritional approaches, including 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗮® and 𝗙𝗥𝗔® 𝗕𝘂𝘁𝘆𝗿𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝘆𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱. • 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲 the gut environment over the longer term by helping maintain microbiota balance, limiting pathogen colonization and supporting resilience, with the support of butyric glycerides. By addressing key aspects of gut health before, during and after weaning, producers can support piglets through this critical transition and contribute to more consistent post-weaning performance. Thursday, October 22, 2026 | 16:00 CET As European producers face tighter margins, ongoing health challenges and increasing pressure to produce more with fewer resources, nutritionists are challenged to help producers evaluate economic value beyond feed cost alone. Join Novus International, Inc. technical experts next week as they explore current research and share practical experiences from both Northern and Southern Europe: Bradley Lawrence (Senior Manager – Global Swine Technology Lead) Over two decades of experience working directly with producers, focusing on optimizing pig performance, survival, and trace mineral nutrition. Monika Ruetz (Swine Technical Services Manager, North Europe) Bringing practical experience in swine veterinary medicine, field trial analysis, and bridging the gap between outdated nutrition concepts and today’s production environment. Roberto Barea Gaitan (Technical Services Manager Swine – South Europe) Specialist in swine nutrition, feed additive nutrition, and how nutrition impacts development and performance across all stages of swine health. Host: Sunita van Es-Sahota (Editor) 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀: 1. Factors that have the greatest influence on grow-finish performance. 2.
