Mauro recently asked Catherine McKenna — former Minister of Environment and Climate Change Canada — on her take. #bcpoli #canadapoli #climatechange #climatesolutions #pipeline #BCpipeline #coastalfirstnations

“Climate change gets talked about as a choice between the economy and the environment. But the truth is it’s about today vs. tomorrow.” As the Government of British Columbia releases the report from the independent review of #CleanBC, the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions has released a film on the future of climate policy in B.C. and the importance of continued ambition. ________________________________________________________________ University of Victoria, The University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC), Katya Rhodes, Deborah Curran, Simon Donner, William Scott, Tamara Krawchenko, Alison Shaw, Kathryn Harrison, Ian J. B.C. stands at a pivotal moment for climate policy. As the Province prepares to release the CleanBC review, climate impacts, rising living costs, and strained public services are reshaping what’s at stake. To support evidence-based decision-making in this moment, PICS has released the Insight Series: CleanBC — eight papers from leading researchers across B.C. offering expert analysis on: • Climate policy in a shifting global context • Clean economy investment + competitiveness • Housing, affordability, and community resilience These insights highlight how climate action connects directly to the top issues facing British Columbians — from affordability to Indigenous reconciliation and regional development. 🔗 Explore the series: https://lnkd.in/gbMkUJn7
