The efficiency killer in any AI-enabled org chart? Maintenance. AI doesn't break. It drifts. It hallucinates. It gaslights (sometimes) Before AI, a broken process or model had error codes, and a Slack alert (sometimes at 2am) AI agents fail quietly: model drift, prompt degradation, an upstream schema change that goes unnoticed until the output has been subtly wrong for three weeks. That changes the centralized-vs-embedded debate most companies are having about their AI engineers right now. The real question isn't just who that engineer reports to, it's who owns the agent once it's live. If monitoring and patching it eats as many hours as the manual process it replaced, you haven't reduced headcount. You've just renamed the job from "doing the work" to "babysitting the automation." We broke down when to centralize your AI team, when to keep it embedded, and the maintenance tax most headcount plans forget to model: https://lnkd.in/g7cm7H87 #WorkforcePlanning #FutureOfWork #HRLeadership #AIStrategy

Curious about how much value can be created when People teams can create product? Bryan Hong, PHR from Astranis Space Technologies transitioned from the People Team to an AI Powerhouse delivering custom agentic solutions across the entire G&A function. Bryan outlines how to efficiently structure MCPs and codebases deliver static, CFO-ready analytics. Moving from a simple personal automation to secure, production-grade deployment takes real structure. People teams need to know which products can be vibe coded and which require enterprise grade security.

Still spending 60-80% of your month gathering, cleaning, and reconciling data before the real analysis begins? That part of the FP&A job is disappearing, and being replaced with an AI-native role- The Finance Engineer. The shift is bigger than new tools. It's a new way of working: → Traditional FP&A thinks in spreadsheets, rebuilt every cycle. → Finance Engineering thinks in systems: pipelines, living models, and a single source of truth that updates itself. One explains last month. The other maintains a continuously accurate picture of right now. If you're an FP&A analyst wondering how to make that leap, the highest-leverage place to start is your data foundation. And no dataset is harder to get right than headcount: it's the largest cost center on the P&L, holds some of the most sensitive data in the company, and changes constantly across the ATS, HRIS, and your plan. That's exactly where headcount365 comes in. We give Finance Engineers an always-accurate source of headcount truth to build on: ✅ Clean, structured data your models and AI tools can trust ✅ Automated reconciliation across every system, so there's one less pipeline to babysit ✅ Built-in permissions that keep sensitive comp and org data where it belongs ✅ Real-time start dates, ramp, and attrition feeding your forecast the moment they change The best Finance Engineers aren't just adopting AI. They're building on a foundation they can trust. See what a Finance Engineer really is, and how the role differs from traditional FP&A 👇 https://lnkd.in/givmrzpW

What's the difference between a requisition ID, a position ID, and a budget ID and why is it such a pain to reconcile? The answer is simple. The same "headcount" is processed by 3 teams in 3 systems separately, and up until now, teams just picked one to try and align to. This works at plan creation, but doesn't sustain as headcount plans and actuals change over the year. Ad-hoc hiring needs. Backfills. Transfers. Unfilled Attrition. Splitting 1 seat into 2. All of these "IDs" are individually processed in their system of record. Finance/FP&A use budget ID is a line in the budget approved to spend. Recruiting/ATS use openings and jobs are tracking what's open and being worked right now. HR/HRIS: a position record a person will eventually attach to. headcount365 has systematized a universal ID to link everything into one auditable source of truth. Whether you use our system or not, this article covers everything you can do to align your headcount plan. The result? Cleaner data that AI can actually use. Read more below: https://lnkd.in/gnqjHt9D
