🗣️ "Most operating models were built for a world of scarce intelligence, sequential workflows and predominantly human execution. AI has changed all three." Tom Oliver, Head of Product, and Myles Kirby, Vice President, join forces with Accenture colleagues Kent McMillan and team to set out the five shifts reshaping how companies operate - starting with designing around decisions, rather than tasks. 🗣️ “If AI agents are your new workers, world models are your new offices.” Michael Davies, PhD, Lead Data Scientist at Faculty, explores why world models could be the missing ingredient for enterprise AI - and why building a digital representation of your business could become a critical source of competitive advantage. Some of the most important business decisions are also the hardest for AI to support. Data can be scarce, incomplete or not directly applicable - particularly in novel, high-stakes environments like drug development. Robert Hardwick, PhD, Lead Data Scientist at Faculty, explores how AI agents and simulation are changing this. By combining the speed of agents with the explainability of ‘white-box’ simulation, development teams can explore more possibilities, better understand trade-offs and make more confident decisions - helping accelerate trials and get better medicines to patients sooner. Enterprise AI investment is accelerating. But while most organisations can tell you what their AI recommended, far fewer can show what the business did differently because of it, or the value that decision ultimately created. Carolina Sportelli, PhD, Senior Customer Success Manager at Faculty, explores why “Return on Decision” could become the metric that matters most in enterprise AI - connecting recommendations to action, realised value and continuous learning, one decision at a time. Modern healthcare systems are under pressure to do more with less. Yet most hospitals still rely on reactive, manual processes that make it difficult to stay ahead of patient flow demand, at a time when the cost of getting it wrong has never been higher. Drawing on the experience of TeleTracking and University of Louisville Health, Andy Brookes, CTO and Co-Founder of Faculty, explores how Faculty Frontier™ enabled frontline teams shift to proactive, coordinated decision-making at scale - helping patients get home faster. Over a decade of working with organisations where getting decisions right genuinely matters, at scale and under pressure, has left me with one consistent observation. The sectors look very different from the outside, and this holds regardless of industry: financial services, energy, pharma, national infrastructure. But the underlying challenge is remarkably similar. The number of decisions organisations must make has multiplied. The stakes of getting them wrong have increased. The operating model for making them has barely changed. When we founded Faculty, our mission was the safe and widespread adoption of AI. What's become increasingly clear to me is that "widespread" won't come from better models alone. It will come when organisations are willing to rethink how decisions are made, coordinated, executed, and learned from over time. That is the shift most enterprises are still yet to make. I've tried to put some of my thinking on what it actually requires here: https://lnkd.in/eF-UVzzB
