AI agents spent 23 hours probing major companies. Nobody on the receiving end noticed. That’s the story leading this week’s AgentShock. Microsoft’s new answer is to give agents a live risk score and take away write access when they start acting strangely. I’d like to know who sets that threshold. Also in this issue: Anthropic signs for 420 MW of wind-backed capacity, and an 18-month data center pause in Memphis dies on a 6–6 vote. If an agent spent tonight probing a vendor from your network, which log would tell you? Read the full issue below. 👇

Our revenue more than doubled in FY2026. Exascale generated $14.8 million in revenue, up 111.3% from the previous year. Existing customers spent more with us, and our customer base expanded, driving growth in our intelligent compute service. After fiscal year-end, we completed our business combination and began trading on Nasdaq as $XLAB on August 28. Hoansoo Lee, our CEO, on what comes next: “Our focus now is on converting that growth into disciplined, scalable execution as a public company.” Read the full financial results and business update: https://lnkd.in/gMYGF3im

Exascale and Compal Server sign an LOI to build a U.S. native 800 VDC validation platform. GPU racks keep getting denser. The industry is looking at native 800-volt DC to cut conversion stages and simplify power distribution. What’s still scarce is a production-grade environment where servers, power, cooling, and controls are tested together. Today we announced a non-binding Letter of Intent with Compal Electronics (TWSE: 2324) to jointly develop that kind of platform in the U.S. As contemplated: ✅ Compal would provide the project site, GPU server platforms, and liquid cooling ✅ Exascale would design the modular data center, SST-based power architecture, and related software, and lead deployment, commissioning, and testing. Dr. Hoansoo Lee, CEO of Exascale: “The goal is to validate native 800 VDC across a complete data center system. Compal’s planned contribution of the site, GPU servers, and cooling systems will allow us to test our SST power architecture and modular infrastructure alongside the equipment they are intended to support.” Alan Chang, VP and GM of ISBG at Compal: “Power, compute, and cooling all have to work as one system. Native 800 VDC is not simply a new power input for the server.” Read the full release: https://lnkd.in/gphuYKvp #AIInfrastructure #DataCenters #800VDC #LiquidCooling #Nasdaq

Exascale Labs Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: XLAB) today announced a non-binding memorandum of understanding with EnergyBank to explore the development of grid-independent AI compute infrastructure powered by floating offshore wind and long-duration energy storage. The collaboration contemplates starting with an initial pilot alongside Zephyros-One, the world’s first floating offshore wind turbine, operated by Sustainable Energy Norway. That pilot targets up to 800kW of compute-ready power on an existing floating turbine. EnergyBank is expected to fund the initial pilot through a combination of private investment and potential public funding. Beyond the pilot, the companies intend to develop a repeatable reference architecture for future multi-turbine, multi-module projects, potentially targeting up to 10MW of firm compute capacity per turbine. From our CEO, Dr. Hoansoo Lee: “AI infrastructure growth is not constrained by the lack of availability of advanced chips. Rather, it is due to the inability to secure and deliver power at the required scale and within commercially viable timelines. Currently, GPUs ship in weeks, and the facilities to house and power them take months or years to build. What makes this collaboration different is that we are assembling power generation, storage, cooling, and compute into a single integrated system from the outset. Our modular platform is purpose-built to operate off-grid, which means floating offshore wind farmed by EnergyBank’s technology can deliver compute-ready power without waiting years for a grid connection.” EnergyBank CEO Tim Hawkey framed the same problem from the generation side: taking floating wind off-grid and integrating generation, storage, and modular data centers so variable offshore power can become firm compute without a multi-year interconnection wait. Next steps under the MOU are joint technical feasibility work, a reference architecture for the pilot, and a scaling roadmap. The MOU is non-binding and does not obligate either party to proceed with the pilot or any later deployment. Any pilot or subsequent project remains subject to further technical evaluation, definitive agreements, financing, and applicable regulatory and other required approvals. There can be no assurance that the collaboration will result in a binding agreement, a completed project, or any commercial deployment. Today, Exascale Labs Holdings Inc. closed its previously announced business combination with D. Boral ARC Acquisition I Corp. Our Class A common stock and warrants begin trading on Nasdaq tomorrow, August 28, 2026, under XLAB and XLABW. This does not change the work. AI demand is still constrained by deployable compute- power, cooling, cluster operations, and the time it takes to bring capacity online. That is the problem we built the company around. We operate an asset-light, software-defined GPU platform: reserved and on-demand GPU compute sourced from third-party data centers, plus cluster management and related infrastructure solutions for training, fine-tuning, and inference. We have also developed modular data center, high-density cooling, HVDC power, and energy storage approaches intended to address deployment bottlenecks. Dr. Hoansoo Lee, our CEO: “We are entering the public markets at a time when demand for AI compute is being shaped not only by GPU availability, but also by the ability to deploy reliable infrastructure at scale. As a public company, we remain focused on executing against our qualified customer pipeline, expanding our platform, and delivering high-performance AI compute infrastructure for enterprise, research, and AI-native customers.” Full announcement, forward-looking statement language, and risk factors are in the press release and in documents filed with the SEC. Exascale Labs CEO Hoansoo Lee walking through the real unit economics of a 1MW build: Market price for the building, power, cooling, and everything else (excluding GPUs and land) typically sits around $12-15M. Because we work directly with suppliers and cut out multiple layers of subcontractors, our actual costs come in meaningfully lower. Each layer often marks up ~30%, so three layers deep and you’re already paying more than double the true marginal cost. That gap is the surplus we look to share with customers. On the GPU side, large leases are landing between roughly $3.40-$4.60 per hour per chip (depending on generation), usually for 3-5 years. Based on conservative assumptions around that math, he referenced a $300M pipeline estimate. Just sharing the discussion. Not investment advice.
