Most recently, our demonstration project, The Fashion ReModel, has seen pioneering brands, retailers, and platforms prove the commercial case for circular business models — and begin to highlight the role policy must play in creating the conditions for these models to scale. Now, it's time to catalyse transformation. To multiply the impact of what is already underway. We have begun developing the 2040 Agenda for Fashion and Textiles — a blueprint everyone can use, not a patchwork of isolated efforts. The efforts are multiplying. Join the journey.

Devastating e-bike battery fires are still on the rise. We need your support. The Product Regulation and Metrology (PRAM) consultation presents an opportunity to strengthen the UK’s approach to product safety for high-risk goods such as e-bike batteries. Ensuring consistency across third-party sellers will be critical to closing existing safety gaps.

Substandard e-bike batteries continue to enter the UK market through third-party sellers on online marketplaces. While current frameworks provide some protections, enforcement and consistency across online marketplaces remains a challenge. Strengthening regulatory oversight and introducing third-party certification could help close this gap and improve product safety outcomes.

"We are much more powerful than we think." After finishing college in the Netherlands, Sjir Hoeijmakers🔸knew he wanted to do something good with his career — but he didn't know what. At some point, he sat down and Googled "how can I make the world a happier place?" That search led him to Peter Singer's TED talk on effective altruism: his first exposure to a community taking the question of doing good seriously. He learned that by “combining the head and the heart,” you can do up to a hundred times more good than you might otherwise. One example that still blows his mind: by donating a percentage of his income to high-impact charities, he could save a human life every year. Now Sjir is CEO of Giving What We Can, an organization that promotes effective giving through the 10% Pledge — a commitment to give at least 10% of your income wherever you think it can do the most good. Together with Altaterra, VELUX and the Employee Foundation of the VKR Group, colleagues are contributing to the development of the Moose Trail and supporting practical work in the forest, including the removal of invasive species.
