If your punch list guy couldn’t care less about 1/16th of an inch - FIRE HIM. This isn’t framing day one. This isn’t “close enough is good enough.” This is the last 5% of the project. The stuff your client sees first - and judges you for hardest. So yeah - I’ll take the guy who obsesses over: 👉 a crooked outlet plate 👉 a hairline gap in trim 👉 a paint line that bleeds a quarter inch past tape Because THAT'S the guy who knows what this phase is really about: Precision. Perfection. And giving a damn when everyone else just wants to go home. Sledgehammers are for demolition. Punch list is all scalpel. Need a team that actually sweats the small stuff? Let’s talk. ➡️ Nik #construction #generalcontractor

How I make punch lists painless for GCs 👇 1️⃣ Show up with a crew that’s fresh, not burnt out from the main build. 2️⃣ Obsess over the details everyone else ignores - crooked outlet covers, paint touch-ups, loose fixtures. 3️⃣ Leave zero items open at final inspection. Simple? Yes. Easy? Not unless it’s your full-time job. Which for us… it is. That’s why GCs call Essel when they’re ready to punch their punch lists in the face. 👊 Ready to call? We're ready to answer. 🔥 #skilledtrades #punchlist #superintendent

I fcking love walking onto jobs like this 👇 Why? Because it gives us the opportunity to show what we're made of. What we do best. What we thrive on What sets us apart Yeah, it's tedious as hell. It takes patience and a surgeon's eye But it's exactly what our clients hire us for and why they keep calling us back again and again. Ready for the next level in punch work? Shoot me a DM now. 👉 Nik #punchlist #skilledtrades #superintendent

I saw a post from Reagan Ramsey the other day and I couldn’t nod my head fast enough. Punch lists. Nobody loves ‘em. Nobody wakes up and says, “Man, I hope I get to stick blue tape on drywall all day.” Punch lists aren’t insults. They’re reality checks. They’re quality control. They’re the line between “good enough” and “done right.” And as someone that specializes in providing punch list pros, I can tell you - there’s an art to doing it right and keeping your pride intact. I have so much respect for supers who stick it out day and night, pouring their weekends into getting the job done. The punch list isn’t saying your work isn’t good - it’s saying the final 5% still matters just as much as the first 95%. I love that this superintendent is flipping the mindset: Punch lists aren’t personal. They’re professional. They’re the last step to delivering what you promised and protecting your reputation. I’d rather have one tough conversation and fix the details now than deal with an unhappy client for the next 10 years. To every super who’s ever felt that sting of blue tape - I see you. And if you ever need a crew that knows how to fix it right the first time? That’s literally what we do. How do you feel about punch lists? Love them, hate them, or just want the right people to tackle them? Tell me in the comments. #punchlist #superintendent #construction

I see projects fail all the time. But not for the reason you think: It's because general laborers are not punch list pros. They don’t see what an owner sees. They can’t fix what they can’t even spot. So what happens? Failed walk. Rework. Failed walk. Rework. The endless hamster wheel of closeout hell. It doesn’t matter if YOU think it’s good enough. The client doesn’t. And the client always wins. You want out of the cycle? Stop being cheap. Hire specialists. The people trained to find every imperfection and make it disappear. Yes, they cost more. But you either pay upfront Or you bleed slowly in back-and-forth purgatory while the project drags and the client loses faith. Punch list isn’t about pride. It’s about survival. And most crews don’t survive it. DM me if you want to thrive and not just survive. 👉 Nik #punchlist #skilledtrades #construction

If you walk a site and every wall looks like it got attacked by a roll of blue tape that’s a billboard that says: Somebody F*ckd Up. Maybe the crew flat-out sucked. Maybe standards got lowered because everyone was rushing. Doesn’t matter. Who gets crushed by it in the end? The superintendent. Every. Single. Time. Supers are already drowning. They’re running schedules, wrangling trades, babysitting vendors, putting out fires all day and now we expect them to also play Where’s Waldo with every dent, scratch, and missing screw? Get out of here. That’s insane. Essel EXISTS to eat that garbage for them. ✅ Punch lists. ✅ Closeout nightmares. ✅ Blue tape purgatory. ✅ All the crap nobody else wants to touch. So if you honestly believe one superintendent should magically catch every single mistake on a giant job site Congrats, you’ve clearly never stepped foot on one. Supers: stop carrying everyone else’s dead weight. DM me. 👉 Nik #skilledtrades #punchlist #superintendent
