Tired of false ejects? It’s common for traditional automated visual inspection (AVI) systems to have an eject rate of 10–20%—or even higher for difficult-to-inspect products. As a result, manufacturers often turn to semi-automated visual inspection (SAVI) to reduce false rejects and maintain throughput. But there’s a better option. Since the DAI-50 trains on the normal to detect the abnormal, distinguishing between naturally occurring bubbles and true defects is easy. With the DAI-50 manufacturers can minimize false rejects and improve product quality. Other common examples of normal variation that the DAI-50 can handle with ease include bubbles, lyophilized cake formation, fill-level variation, powder deposition on sidewalls, and light reflection or refraction from molded glass.
