How many hours did your fee-earners spend chasing bank statements last week? At Leading Property Lawyers, it was too many. Qualified lawyers were chasing clients, trawling through paperwork and checking source of funds by hand. So LPL changed how it handles source of funds. Their Head of Operations sums up the result: "As a business, we got better value for money out of our people." The full case study shows exactly what changed: when checks now happen, where client queries go and what the team does with the time it got back.

Your fee-earners are trained lawyers, not document administrators. Yet at many conveyancing firms, skilled fee-earners lose hours every week chasing clients for bank statements, trawling through paperwork, and manually checking Source of Funds — work that doesn't need their level of expertise. Leading Property Lawyers (LPL) faced exactly this problem. After introducing Armalytix, SoF checks now happen earlier in the transaction, client queries are resolved externally, and fee-earners have their time back for actual legal work. "The introduction of Armalytix took away the whole admin burden, and allowed our skilled team to utilise their skills. As a business, we got better value for money out of our people." — Louise Stephens-Pantoja, Head of Operations, LPL

Fee-earners at leading conveyancing firms didn't train for years to spend their days chasing bank statements and trawling through client documents. But that's exactly what was happening at Leading Property Lawyers (LPL) — a national, tech-enabled conveyancing firm. Skilled fee-earners were bogged down in manual AML and Source of Funds admin: repeated back-and-forth with clients, digging through paperwork, and time-consuming checks that didn't need their level of expertise. LPL brought in Armalytix to change that. The result? SoF checks now happen earlier in the transaction. Client queries are handled externally, cutting down the back-and-forth. And fee-earners have been freed up to focus on the legal work they're actually trained for. As LPL's Head of Operations put it: "The legwork part is done for them so that all we were requiring from fee-earners was their expertise. We weren't taking away any of the actual legal work. In fact, we were giving them more time to do it." See how Armalytix helped LPL get more value from their people — without compromising on compliance.

Conveyancers: have you seen things that suggest a Source of Funds summary is the same as a Source of Wealth? As more technology and AI-powered solutions enter the market, the distinction between the two is becoming less clear. As Armalytix Executive Chair, Mike Ward, explains in his latest article for Today's Conveyancer: “The market is creating confusion by blurring the language, often through tools marketed in ways that make complex checks sound far simpler than they really are.” Unless a client’s entire wealth is being used to fund the transaction, a Source of Funds summary isn’t the same as Source of Wealth. 💵 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/eMM-k6x3
